View Full Version : What shampoo to use for healthier hair?

Is there something anyone would recommend? I'm looking for something that would make my hair more healthier with a bit more thickness. It seems kinda weak at the moment.

Also what is the best hair product?

I've got some wax but everytime I use it, I swear it makes strands of my hair fall out. Is there anything else that I can use to style my hair without it causing hair to fall out?

I better not begin balding now dammit. I'm only 21 :[

grab few pieces of toilet paper and scratch your head with it every day. You will grow a lot more of hair.

VO5 products always do the job for me man, that's the proper shit.

As for using wax.....well, don't. Use clay, it's much better for styling and doesn't make your hair go greasy like wax does.

Drench your hair in olive oil once a week. Any amount of vitamins and whatever these shampoos claim to add, is just bullshit. Because your hair is not able to absorb anything you smear on to it anyway. But Olive oil makes your skin soft and your hair nice.

Anything else need to be eaten, if you want better hair.

Wash your hair with cold water. I've been told it strengthens it. I do it and I have quite thick hair. (funny how i ask the barber to thin my hair so then it doesn't go bushy when it has length)

For hair products, I's say use

best on the market :)

Head and Shoulders not good unless you actually have dandruff. It will make your hair dry and brittle - a problem I've been having lately.

Where do I buy this? Also does it make your hair greasy? Hate the greasy look. Matt is more closer to what I'm after.

Olive Oil?

I've heard about this but wouldn't this grease the fuck out of my head? What shampoo would be 'safe' for my head? I know a lot ot them seem to have harsh chemicals which do more harm than good!

Perhaps these questions are better directed at some kind of hair care forum haha. This is one of the few forums I browsed though I figured I should ask help here :P

Doesn't have much hold but then again I have short hair so it works.

I used to get good results from Head and Shoulders until I started going bald.

Now I stick to Gillette razor's and shave gel followed by a spray of mr sheen. Hmmm, shiny.

My mother is a hair dresser, she told me this. And you are supposed to wash your hair after the oil treatment. A regular L'Oréal shampoo should do the trick. Head & Shoulders for normal hair is also quite good, the one that moisturize your scalp. But I'd rather go with Olive Oil, all natural and your hair will never look and feel better.

They (hair dressers) would never tell a customer to buy oil from the store, though, because they need to sell their own overpriced crap.

Well there are loads of stuff but matt clay is one of the best. Pretty cheap too and you can pick it up from anywhere like Boots.

Be a man. Shave your head.

It dry's in seconds, never goes frizzy, never gets in your eyes and is never bothersome on windy days.

Go on. Be a man.

For a day I haven't used shampoo on my head. No strands of hair on my hands when washing my head! Guess the shampoo was to blame for my problems...

I think it's mainly genetic isn't it. If it's going, it's going. Using certain products to preserve it 'may' work slightly but they're not going to have much affect, not as much as on the wallet anyway.

Fortunately my father's just starting to bald, and my hair's holding up very well fortunately so I've no worries - not to rub it in!

My hair does turn very thick overnight mind, it's funny like that. It's ridiculously frizzy after washing it, but then overnight turns thick and slightly greasy.

Or...

Being a bit bald aint that bad. I miss my fringe a bit but I wont lose any sleep over it until I get to the stage of only having hair from over one ear, round the back of my head and over the other ear.

Boots sell it for like £5. Nope not greasy at all, good for having a bit of shape and mess to your hair. Its not exactly the greatest hold but like i said, its for shape and hold.

Use a juicer and throw in a few Tomatoes and a little bit of curry powder, mix it up then use it after you shampoo, it reopens the pours in your head and new hair follicles begin to grow, it also thickens existing hair.

Have you tried a grow bag, some goat shit and a handful of elderberries? Does nothing for the head or hair, just wondering how desperate you might be...

Alternatively, you can all forgo the faggotry and be men.
