Has anyone seen or heard anymore on the editing facilities in PES 2012, like the kit templates, slots, stadium editor etc?

The only thing i know so far is to do with stadium editor, apparently there are more bowl stand options rather than singular stands. Check out PESFAN where some guy called graday gave some details regarding modes.

Hope so that will give us more options to do stadiums alot of the stadiums on 2011 looked the same that I did lol

Would love the ability to full edit the back side of a kit, and put a club emblem on shorts as well. How hard can that be to implement?

I no man, I remember on PES 4 or 5 they had back shirt logo's, crazy we can't even put a logo or emblem on the shorts FFS.

From the fact that PES 2011 had exactly the same kit templates and options as PES 2010, we can take that they don't care a lot.

Pro Evolution Soccer has lots and lots of unlicensed teams, the least they could do is provide us with the necessary options and possibilities to make the kits look perfect and realistic. Yet they do not even evolve!

Edit Mode is the whole reason I play PES. I really take pride in making my kits, my changes in players abilities, importing faces, changing boots, updating hairstyles, transfers. So I think KONAMI should have some respect for those who still look forward to go to Edit Mode first when they buy the game instead of going online to play a match!

I think I'd actually do a jig with excitement if they included a full yet unlicensed championship. As well as a better selection of templates and ways to implement them, similar to what has been suggested above.

I totally agree with Damien. The editing is why I fell in love with PES. But now it has become stale with the lack of improvment throughout the year. I haven't really looked to see if Fifa has improved their creation centre this year, but I'm sure it's going to be vastly improved and completely in-game (hopefully not having to be used online like lasr year)

The problem with fifa's editing is that it's never been anywhere near as in depth as pro's. I haven't played the last fifa admittedly, but from the ones I have played I always went into the editing section and was amazed at how little option there was in comparison.

True, Konami need to take the next step with their mode instead of staying with the same old system but I doubt very much that even if they do stick with last years version, EA's will be anywhere near. Maybe if it was then Konami would feel the pressure to improve again.

Thats very true. Fifa10 and 11 were the first i've bought since 2002 and i agree the editing isn't all that impressive form what i've seen. I didn't even bother with the editing in last years fifa because of the whole you have to do it online business of it. But it is certainly an improvment from past iterations and one would think they will only improve it in the future.

The editing is not on par with the current PES system, but unless PES start improving their system, I dont think it will be long until Fifa surpass them I feel.
That being said I really hope PES pulls up its socks as it holds a special place in my heart.

I'm not sure, One of the reasons other than game play why PES has fans is because of it's creation centre, where now for FIFA 12 you can create your own kits, where you can load images from the internet and use them as sponsors and logos. I'm pretty sure there was something to do with stadiums as well :/
If PES's game play isn't up to scratch I could sadly see FIFA getting an even bigger market span.

An overhaul would be ideal, as simple things like not making the front of the shirt correspond with the box for adding shirt sponsors is retarded. So many times you feel it's centered on the shirt and it's fallen into the stretch zone and it's all over the place.

the reason the teemplates wernt changed from 2010 to 2011 is so as prequel data didnt become messed up but according from Graday on pesfan there have been additional templates added to pes 2012.

What exactly, limits KONAMI from making a fake Bundesliga like they did with Premier League or Liga Portuguesa?:shocking:

Nemisiskidd

its all about licensing fifa will then complain and say konami are really and trully got a full bundesliga due to its expansive editing system and that would bring up a law suit as fifa have payed to have the bundesliga only for their rights.

thats the problem ppl think konami r lazy 4 not creating lots of leagues as i said above this is becoz fifa have bought the rights to these leagues if konami put them in as fake leagues along with the brilliant edit mode fifa will complain as it will seem as a cheat way to get the licenses for pes e.g. lets say fifa pay money for bundesliga
pes create fake bundesliga, fifa have the upper hand here as their bundesliga is licensed but if konami have good edit mode were players can successfully license these leagues by theirselves it will seem konami have got bundesliga for free, this will then turn into a law suit eventually sueing konami, thats why konami have a limit and teams they can license in the EPL and certain bundesliga teams like bayern munich.

I agree with you but then I raise the following arguement...

If PES has 2 licensed EPL teams, how come EA hasn't raised a law suit against Konami for the 'fake' EPL? Is this not similar to the Bundesliga situation?

I'm not saying you are wrong btw. Just seems strange in how both cases are pretty similar to me. If you can show me otherwise I'd be happy to accept that. :)

i wd think theres a limit e.g. they will have to have one or the other (league) and the premier league being the most popular konami have gone for that anyway i think EA's licensing for bundesliga terminates 2014 then konami will be able to negotiate the license.

I think the reason for the lack of a fake Bundesliga similar to what we have with the PL is due to the Bundesliga themselves. Cant remember for sure but I think they threatned to sue Konami a few years ago

Yeah but then moneybags EA will come along, offer 10x what Konami can and retain the license as they always do. :(

My hopes (wishlist for PES12)

1: XBox 360 to have full range of import options like PS3. (Images on stadiums etc)
2: Wider range of options in stadium creator - to make enclosed bowls etc.
3: When creating / editing team - to be able to edit location / rivals etc.
4: Al lot more shapes and templates for badge editing.
5: Add outlines to numbers and name lettering again.
6: More kit templates.
7: Clone various attributes from different players like in old PES games, such as say if I wanted to give David De Gea Pranjic's face - I don't have to base copy Pranjic entirely over De Gea and then default everything.

exactly, and that proves apart from EA expansive animation department , licenses is the only aspect that holds fifa together and so called "triumphs" pes.

And in no way does FIFA 'triumph' PES in terms of gameplay imo. The fact that they have slick animations is in their favour, but the lack of creativity or knowledge on the CPU team is ridiculous. On the harder difficulties especially, even teams like Barca decide that the best way to score is to pass the ball down the line and cross- something Barca would never do irl. Again, players like Heskey and Carew will peel out wide and then put inch perfect crosses into the box with their weaker foot...

At least in PES players have some individuality. Players like Carroll and Heskey rarely go out wide and use their sheer size and strength as an advantage instead. Players like Downing and Young supply decent crosses more often than weaker crossers like Lennon per say.

And despite this, just because FIFA has the proper badge and kit for almost every league they have in their game, more consumers prefer their title to the less licensed PES. :(

This would be amazing news! Seeing Sir Alex's face when I beat his United side in ML... priceless.

Also, I try to preach it to my friends, and even convinced one to buy PES 2011 last year which I was proud of. Unfortunately, my others all stick to FIFA, but only really because of Ultimate Team (I have to admit, I loved this game mode for years but this year it just grew a tad old for me so I quit early. :L). It's a shame cus they don't know what they'll miss in PES 2012 compared to FIFA 12.

Again I'm going off a bit here, but imo FIFA 12 just sounds like a slightly adjusted FIFA 11 with a few new features such as 'real-time injuries' (or whatever that crap's called) and 'precise dribbling' (Another way to make useless players good at beating people...). At least PES has shown the overhauls in actual gameplay videos from the perspective of a gamer, FIFA have just shown promo's of theirs. :|

/Rant. xD

Does anyone know if the edit ML team is back in? I loved being able to change my strip each season without affecting the exhibition strip? Also I'd be interested to hear what any og the OF creators like the guys from GTMPRO are planning on doing with Birminghams sponsor this season? Just leave it blank? Or pick one of their weekly sponsors?

Something interesting with regards to editing socks. In training mode corner kicks, check out the socks from the corner. There is a konami strip and PES emblem on the sock. Maybe we will be able to edit socks. You can't see the front of the shorts from that view.

Would love them to take stadium editor further, was great last year at replicating smaller grounds and some European stadia, it would be amazing if in future games you could design more modern stadiums. I think this year it will remain fairly basic yet useful. You don't exactly need loads of different stands, but they need to be more varied.

I would also like the option of editing the aesthetic side of things with regards to banners, flares flags etc as styles obviously vary through the leagues. This could be done in the team edit section, stadium section or pre match menu.

Any difference btw PC and game consoles?

I have a few questions...

Can I combine patches? For example, there's always a SUPER PATCH that comes a few months after the official release. Would I be able to download a LEGENDS PATCH, if someone makes it? Could I combine both? What if someone creates a good "Maradona" or "Pele" face, would I be able to upload this face and incorporate it with one of the patches?

Is the limit still a 32 player roster? Is that tally the same on the PC version, or are you allowed to have more players (32 and above) in your roster?

If you have a close look at the screenshots you see that Stade Louis II of Monaco is still in the game. And it would really surprise me if it wasnt because it has been in since the old days of PES1 :)

Anyone know what the Royal London Stadium is supposed to be? I can only think of it as being a non realistic stadium because Wembley is still in. It does not look like the Emirates stadium / Twickenham / Olympic stadium so i dont have a clue which real stadium this should be?

Ahh that's alright, we forgive you. :)

Regarding the Royal London Stadium, I have no idea which one it's supposed to resemble. Looks like the Millennium in Cardiff more than anything.

I'm suprised they haven't put White Hart Lane in, or a close approximation seeing as Spurs are fully licensed.

As for shirt numbers and fonts - I want them to put the outline colour option back in.

The teams with full license don't necessarily have their right stadiums, in 2011 game Bayern Munich and Bremen where both fully licensed but didn't have their correct stadiums.

I know that it will be 51 Slots for team logos (=>18 EPL, 13 LZS, 16 BuLi, 2 CL-Teams and 1 for 2. BuLi) and now you can create round stadions.

WENB's adam has confirmed rounded stadia can be made :) not saying to what detail yet there is an embargo on modes for now but keep an eye out on WENB for a podcast next giving details on modes

Thanks for the heads up. I'd love to see pictures of the new stadium styles - hopefully once the embargo is lifted / expired.

Screenshots in bigger quality via below links:

guys take a look at the names of the stadia under the pictures, the names in blue are the licensed stadiums 16 out of 30 the rest are fake or likeliness, rose park again were looking at upton park/villa park the royal london to me would a lookalike of white hart lane

Would we not need 18 for Division 2? I'm sure that league consists of 18 fictional teams... :/ Either way we need a lot more than 51 to fully customise all fake/fictional teams in the game.

I've planned to give correct emblems to:

18 - EPL
10 - Bundesliga (Choose a select few good sides to give correct emblems.)
18 - Coca-Cola Championship (Overwrite the Div. 2 teams with the best or select 18 Champo teams :D)
5 - Others (Maybe any unlicensed other European teams and maybe Braga or some Portugese teams)

Really disappointed not to see enough emblem slots for all of the teams though, seems like such a simple thing to include. :/

Yeah, like last year... I guess I will only use the Top Teams of the Premier League, because I need 16 slots for Bundesliga and 18 for second Bundesliga.

But wasn't the WE league already in PES 2011? I remember having 2 fictional leagues. Btw will it be possible to rename the portuguese league, remove the licensed teams and put them to the other european teams? In this way I could have 3 own leagues: Bundeliga, 2. Bundesliga and Israeli Premier League.

Yeah that's basically what I'm doing but I plan on starting with either an EPL team or a Championship team in ML so I need the emblems complete for these teams instead of the Bundesliga teams. :D

Still, they should really be able to give us enough emblem slots so that in case a Bundesliga or Portugese team who I wouldn't expect to finish in a CL place does, they will also have a correct emblem. :/

@ slemke: This should be possible if the move teams feature remains from PES 2011 and by the sounds of it, it will be kept. I'm also almost certain you'll be able to rename the league to whatever you like. So hopefully you can do this mate! :D

oh yeah sorry I forgot it was 18 in div 2 haha

I put Rangers and Sellik into the div 2 with a few created SPL teams and the rest of them created Championship teams to make British league over 2 divisions :)

That's a good idea with the Bundesliga emblems, last year i remember seeing someone find fake emblems that closely resembled the emblem of the real Bundesliga team and used that.

What i do is use a fake emblem that looks close and when that team qualify for Europe, in which case i might be drawn against them in EL/CL i then give that team the right emblem for that season, it seems to work out and gives me chance to dip back into the edit mode to update player accessories, boots, faces etc.

slemke that's a really good shout, the way I understand it is the Portuguese league will be the same as the EPL but with 3 licensed teams not 2 so all of the other 13 Portuguese teams will have the right players (as far as stats are concerned) but the players will have fake names and the teams will have fake names and kits.

Finally... all this time there was me thinking i was a loony loner :)

for me 25% of PES is the atmosphere (stadiums, fans etc), 25% is the graphics (likenesses, kits, pitches etc), 50% is the game-play (stats to make players play like their real life counter parts, options for the user to pass, dribble, do flicks, team tatics dictating play etc)... hang on, cant all this be adjusted in the edit mode? ;)

That makes PES 100% about the editing for me :) I love and appreciate the efforts the Konami Dev. team go to but i also love the options they give us the make the game we buy off the shelf our own, technically there could be 1000 of us buy a copy at the same time on the same day and by the end of that day all 1000 of us could have a game which sounds, looks and plays differently to the others, the only thing they would have in common would be the name!

Which brings me onto something I noticed in the extra content video posted above, there are 4 kit styles to purchase, 2 (the bottom two with short shorts) look like classic kits circa 1982 world cup, the other two don't look any different to each other except from the colar changing.

From that I will deduce that there are two options, the four kits are ALL classics and the first two are circa 1960/70s the bottom two are circa 1980/early 90s.

I would love to see Konami add in the option to have normal shirts and the tight shirts for the modern day teams, i.e. we could choose to have a puma kit like Tottenham, loose fitting or we we could choose to have a kit like Ivory Coast, tighter fitting. I though that's what these were at first then the whole classic thing clicked.

Just a shame I'm gonna use the classic teams to make the squads from the 2011 U17 World Cup for my ML ;)

In my opinion PES 2012 editor is going to be much better than the 2011 one, the stadium editor of PES 2011 was very limitated, you only could create a few stadiums because there wasn't enough variety of stadium parts, the celebrationsa re going to be very great, and they removed those weird balls (candy, barrel,...) in the extra content area and put those classic balls, very good by Konami, and the classic kits are great too, i'd like to see new fonts, new color palette (because the black color in the kits and the edit mode hairstyles looks like dark grey), and a more realistic crowd sound when you score a goal, the best part of PES is editing, let's see if we can have in PES 2013 a boots editor or a callnames creator (because mi name isn't on PES).

I agree. but i have to throw in one or two

Proper boot editing. shorts logos.

Yeah I'm with you guys on the boot editor! Again, licences may cause an issue but if Konami can implement a boots editor rather than a creator, we could then select a template of the boots Konami are allowed to use and alter the colours to the ones we want. I think that seems like middle ground :)

An example of this would be the yellow F50 in PES2012, we could base copy that design or open an option of a "blankF50" then... colour it in so that we could have the yellow original and the red white and blue F50 :)

For the DLCs Konami could give one colour of each boot type and we could then use the editor to re-create that boot but in another colour to widen our options.

We would need extra slots to save our boots in. I don't want to edit boots for more options only to have to copy it over an original boot! Thought I'd get that bit in early ;)

The boots editor in PES6 was brilliant, by choosing different layers you could do things like the Nike swoosh etc and then choose four colour schemes for each design. That would be great to see back.

Also I have a question:

In PES11 we can edit the shape of the pitch, and the pitch outline in the stadium creator (curved edges etc) and in PES12 we can put a running track around the edge. But can we also go to the other extreme and cut the distance to the stands from the edge of the pitch, maybe to Old Trafford / Rose Park distances?

It would be nice to make more enclosed and "intimate" stadia, like the older Premier League grounds such as WHL or Anfield. Anyone know?

Since they are working with c.ronaldo(unless konami payed him too say that), it should be him as he is one of the worlds best dribblers instead of it being that chinese guy that looks like he is constipating when he runs

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=XA1ojZe6oNk#!

Same stats for GKs as always.

I would like to have seen those 4 grades changed to 'shot stopping', 'handling', 'agility' and 'distribution'...anything but technique and fitness etc.

Hi there, speaking of classic players, for Cruijff I tried his classic hairstyle with Modric's face on pes 2011. For Rijkaard, you can match is classic hairstyle this year with Nani's face That looks like him :)

Hope the final game will be far better than the demo on Xbox 360. The released demo is really weak. The game's pace is too fast, players still have robotic attitudes when they run, shots are really odds and goalkeepers not so improved as konami promised.

Why can't Konami add more fake leagues and/or extra players slots?
The 2nd demo does look great though,Also does anyone know if there is some new/different controls this year?
