Anyone who buys a game based purely on it's aesthetics should be banned from gaming, or better yet, removed from the gene pool altogether.

No point playing the game that looks good if it sucks playing it.

Gameplay>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Features>>>>>>>>Animations>>Little things

But non the less I still would enjoy the same gameplay with much better animations much more, I mean looking like a real game, the movement of players etc... it rly adds the believability and so fort.

I mean I just don't get it, players moving/running etc look much more realistic in PES 5 than they do today in PES 11, I just don't get it.

The body movements and so looked so soft and human alike then, now its stiff and robotic.

Gameplay over everything. Because a game can look great, can have great details, but if it doesn't play right then you still won't play it no matter what because it still gets boring after you play it.

I don't care how gritty the graphics are, as long as the game is enjoyable and playable.

They kind of blend into the same thing, I don't want the game to look fancy as such, but I want it to feel smoother and more responsive regards the animations which for me will effect game play, so for me they merge into one.

Graphics and animations for me are two totally different things.

Game play has always been a giver on PES, it is light years ahead in terms of fun and enjoyment over "that other football game." PES 2009 was diabolical with out a shadow of a doubt, for me that has been the only year that EA Sports have beaten PES.

Both are not as good as they should be today, however PES is the footballers football game and always has been, if you know your football and want enjoyment PES has always brought that to the table. If you want Licenses with little gameplay improvement each year then the "other game" is up your street.

I buy games (especially yearly sequels) mainly based on how much improvement and change (for the better) it has over the older version. Graphics really mean fuck all, as long as the game play is solid. PES 6 on the PS2 had me playing that for 3 years from its release. It really was THE football game, no football game even today has come close to its aura. It was that good and ahead of its time (at the time) even though I bought the new PES's every year, I always ended up going back to PES6. Those were the days ;)

We are football game purists and not 'the other game' fans who we can also call them casual gamers. So game play matters a lot since U know how real football is played on pitch even I quite admit animation including graphic always give U good first impression for all video games.

I'll buy it anyway, but it needs both for me.

For me right now, the focus should be on animations used for everything. Not game graphics as it looks alright at the moment, just get rid of weird looking shots and passing, that will up the sense of realism two-fold.

Something has just occurred to me. Does anyone ever remember wanting more animations or better graphics when playing PES 3 through 6?

I remember wanting better editing options, but other than that... :hmm:

What the hell happened?

They have somehow managed to balls-up going to next-gen.

If you look at this clip here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z_Prk8IUhYk&feature=related

You can clearly see that when shooting, in 1-3, they are actually putting the correct effort in and what you expect is what you get.
What's MORE important, is that the keepers are busting a gut to try and get to the shots. It doesn't matter if they don't save it necessarily, as they are actually leaping, rather than falling on the floor on the spot.
I have seen on occasions, in PES 2011, when a shot is going wide, the keeper has time to actually jog across the goal and run after the ball instead of diving to stop the shot going past him!

Its criminal. I want PES 1-3 boxed in with 2012 :)

PES has NEVER accelled in the animations/graphics department. So it's never been a worry for me.

^In the animations yes, but graphics alone? I don't think so. Graphically it has always been great and was never less than fifa in the graphics. Actually fifa only beats pes in the stadiums (graphically), but players, faces, kits and overall graphics are better in pes.

Should be both licensing and gameplay

Should be both licensing and gameplay

Licensing is not important if a full Edit mode is created, also in my opinion if the kit colours and design is close to the real thing that is enough as sponsors are only seen on close ups.
Also mate, asking for extra Rep is not a good way of doing so, you have top earn your rep :L

+1

Though, even the worst PES Games have been way more enjoyable to me then the Fifa series.
