View Full Version : Shot Technique stat?
I noticed there isn't a shot technique stat for players in the demo, or at least I think there isn't. Can anyone confirm if this stat has been removed from the game or if its been moved elsewhere/renamed?
I just downloaded a database for pes 2012 with all the player stats and the shot technique stat isn't there either, so I'm really starting to believe its been taken out which would be a shame. Players like Drogba and Van Der Vaart don't have world class shot accuracy but they did always have about 95 for shot technique.

Shot Technique
Agility
Acceleration
all taken out
I believe some stats have been renamed though.
Acceleration = explosive power
free kick accuracy = ball placement
technique = ball control
Agility does seem to have been removed as well, although I'm not sure if that stat was really important anyway. It never improved in ML/BAL if I remember correctly.

Of course agility is important lol, its one of the main reasons why Messi is as good as he is.

explosive power is the new "agility". you'd think it is about acceleration, but i can assure you it isn't. shoot technique has been removed in order to make shooting easier... :(

If you have ever played any football you should know that shooting is relatively easy unless you're in direct physical contact with a defender or getting blocked down. In PES2011 you hit a fluke if there's a defender in the vicinity several strides away from you unless the shooter got 95 or more shot technique.
I agree that removing it was maybe a bit overkill, but it was ridiculous they way it was as well.

'Explosive power'? Are you shitting me? I thought Konami had actually got to grips with the English language now.

I would disagree - even the pros shoot them left, right, and high when not engaged.

You beat me to it Matt - I was going to throw in a little Engrish comment about explosive power.
So I have a good Engrish for you that I saw just last week and snapped with my cell phone - Japanese Buffet had Claw Fish labelled next to an item (they were actually Crawfish). I was wiling to bet the asian owner told the american worker to put clawfish on the buffet so that person followed naming directions to the tee and didn't fix the accent.

They should lower the effect of accuracy then. Because Shot technique was supposed to affect shots at awkward and pressured situations only.
The rest us up to shot accuracy.

I found it in another thread. I'm lead to believe these are all the 2012 player stats (I think the pc gamers hacked the demo or whatever). Nevertheless, don't take my word for it as thats just what I read somewhere.
The link is in Spanish but don't worry, the little application thingy is in English.

I gotta admit that it's odd to have taken off shot technique, as that was a real strikers stat, like Raul etc.
Being able to get a decent shot from any body position.
Well I guess Accuracy as overall replaces it.
Why take agility and shot techique???
This really baffles me!

pes 2012 looks no where near as good as pes 2011, just being honest :)
explosiveness power is agility as xavi has 83 explosiveness and in pes 2011 he had 83 agility and 76 acc. i also think there is no need for acceleration as that just means how long it takes for you to reach to speed. Agression is missing too and shot technique is more in the mix os shot acc. and ball control as shot technique is how good you are at first touch shooting at awkward angles
