This should simplify things.
Please use this thread to ask questions instead of making new ones

If you feel a little  ask away.

Gamecube?

Zygalski

Sure.
Be sure to specify first though.

If anyone has any rumours for the games, stick them in here too.

Will Winning Eleven 7 and/or PES3 be coming out for Nintendo Gamecube in any region?:D

I expect that WE7 will be out for GC in jap form but that should be a prob with that widget (although reading jap might be!). As to PES3, as far as I still know Sony have exclusively tied PES to the PS2 for now.

Would be great if PES3 come out on PC, look at F***2003, there are much more possibilities to import graphics and sounds to the game, and it´s quite easy, with some basic knowledge you could make your own patches.

Zygalski
10-06-2003, 16:29
and internet play too.

rebusrahman
10-06-2003, 17:23
That's only any good if you have a decent PC and broadband. At least if they did on PS2 properly it would be a level playing field (pun possibly intended!)

Zygalski
10-06-2003, 19:27
BT says there are now 1 million homes in Britain with broadband.
It's only going to increase.

An alternative would be for someone to make a PS2 emulator for PC but I read that is quite a difficult thing to do.

PES4 awaits.

ok zy just a couple...

is pes3 on cd or dvd? for edit purposes
dont you think we would like to see a making of dvd included?

Zygalski
10-06-2003, 23:26
1. Most likely DVD due to the different languages.
2. Not really. Wouldn't be very interesting.
3. Not sure but should do.
(Compared to PES2 or WE6:FE?)

4. Ask your parents. There's only so much I can help out with.

10-06-2003, 23:36
Actually (not trying to be smart), PES3 will be coming out on CD.

timedwins7
10-06-2003, 23:46
Where did you hear that LFC4EVER?

Zygalski
11-06-2003, 00:15
Yes, you should explain what you say.
So are you saying PES3 will have different versions for each country it will be released in?
Or that it will only be in English?

wixon
11-06-2003, 09:19
it says on this very site that it will be coming out on CD not DVD!!!

rebusrahman
11-06-2003, 09:33
So if PES3 comes out on CD does it mean that Konami are inviting patches and admitting they won't doing any major shake up of names, etc?

timedwins7
11-06-2003, 13:29
It says it will be on a CD-Rom, but that is under this list...

The following is a list of features which are set to be implmented Winning Eleven 7 and Pro Evolution Soccer 3.

??? Maybe they are both on CD-Rom?

So if PES3 comes out on CD does it mean that Konami are inviting patches and admitting they won't doing any major shake up of names, etc?

You may be right rebusrahman, because a patched copy of WE6FE was sent to Konami, so they may accept that FIFA has all the licenses and just have put it on a CD-Rom to allow people to create patches for PES3/WE7 that have the correct kits, Boots, Names etc etc. That would be good!

rebusrahman
11-06-2003, 14:03
Yeah...kind of. I think it's a cop out from Konami to not invest mega-bucks if will brign licencing their way. I mean they do have other franchises and they are not a small company like other people have said.

Zygalski
11-06-2003, 14:21
But with them seeing the patched disk, it will make them even more unwilling to pay for licences when they see that we can do it ourselves.
More profit for them.

reb, true, but no doubt you'll be buying it, as will I.

timedwins7
11-06-2003, 17:49
Is it ACTUALLY on a cd? Would be good, because people can then add their own personal touches.

It would also be good if PES3 is Online as then people could patch it and play different version online.

Don't think it will be online though, because Konami would have to buy they're own servers etc etc.

GFK
11-06-2003, 18:20
Thats not true were does it stand then?!?!?!? This site has only said that we7 will be on cd!

Just a quick question to end a debate i'm having.

Is there any chance, whatsoever of Winning Eleven 7 ending up on XBox?

kochman

no xbox version

Just to confirm the fact about onlione play:-

============================== ====
"PES fans sick as parrots

Erm, looks like we got a little bit overexcited. Turns out you won't be able to play Winning Eleven 7 - and therefore PES3 - online, after all.

Whoopsy daisy. That's what happens when you let a man whose knowledge of Japanese barely extends beyond ordering an Asahi in a Roppongi bar to translate a press release. Blame wishful thinking, but when Konami Tokyo recently unveiled Winning Eleven 7 we mistakenly took the mention 'full' network adaptor support to mean the game would be playable online. Sorry. Our bad, because it turns out that although you will be able to download updated team rosters and player stats (as was the case with Winning Eleven 6) head-to-head online play won¿t be possible. Sorry, it's just a fleck of grit in our eye, we'll be alright in a second...

That's better. Now normally we wouldn't bother tracking the progress of a Japanese game so closely, but as right-thinking football fans already know, the features in each new Winning Eleven game prefigure what us continentals can expect from the next Pro Evolution Soccer title. So obviously online play is out, but the good news is - aside from even more rarefied gameplay - you can expect an enhanced master league mode, a more comprehensive player-editing tool and referees who play the advantage. Brilliant, and apparently if you play as ManYoo the players will chase the ref around the pitch each time he gives a decision the other way.

*Winning Eleven 7 will be released in Japan on 7 August. To read more about the game take a trip to its official site."

Ity was only on dvd because the languages right??? Their most be a german, english italian etc. version and all the languages dont fit on a cd, right??? But what i dont get why dont learn these bloody german just learn english!! So it pes3 wont be on dvd anymore. But now pes3 is already on cd i read here. So their will bo only a english version right??

Cheers

Zygalski
12-06-2003, 12:25
Maybe.

But what if they decided to just release it in Japanese or French for some reason?
Would you learn those languages for the game?

Can we have a 3rd kit option pls? Reason: Last night I was playing in the semis of the ML Cup in the 2nd div (whatever it's called and it was my first cup run and time in the div). I had PSG and thought no probs. I play with Man U and have changed their away to blue. So when I start I have PSG in their home of blue and and red down the middle. And I'm in all blue. I lost in extra time because I couldn't bloody work out which players were mine. I really hope that I haven't been ultra dense and I could have chnaged it b4 or viewed what it would be. But I would have thought it would have chosen red for me (unless it thought PSG's main strip colouring was red?) Anyway, aaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggg ggggghhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!

If there are enough replies in it, it will stay on the first page.
So I made my vote clear by replying again.

You can indeed change the kit combinations used for each individual match, to see how they will compare with each other. It's under "Options" in the ML main menu, and there's an option of "Select Kits" or something along those lines.

Let's you choose who plays in the home and away strips, etc.

Zygalski
12-06-2003, 14:25
Yeah, that's how to do it.
There are a few confusing mixes of colour but it is rare.

I always turn that option on before anything else!

Aaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrgggggggg ggghhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!
I didnt even think it would be a problem. It's like England's grey kit and Man U's black(was it?) kit causing me grief and a place in the final!

timedwins7
12-06-2003, 16:09
U can change the kit before you play matches....

Zygalski
12-06-2003, 16:25
Don't worry too much.
Once you update your option file, it should mostly be fine.

Zygalski
27-06-2003, 15:17
www.pesinsight.com
Scroll down a bit.
See the club teams.

Don't know about the nationals yet.

Stuart
27-06-2003, 15:44
How many club teams will there be on PES3?

Zygalski
27-06-2003, 16:03
Probably the same as in WE7.
www.pesinsight.com
Scroll down a bit.

Stuart
27-06-2003, 16:22
ok but how many club teams are there in WE7 (58 or 64)

Zygalski
27-06-2003, 19:15
There will be 64.
58 are known at this point.

Perfect Passer
28-06-2003, 21:18
will they have the new England kit in PES3? and is there going to be a national kit editor? where do you get your info from?

Zygalski
28-06-2003, 21:23
The info is on
www.pesinsight.com
plus knowledge of WE6:FE, the latest version out so far.

There is a national kit editor in WE6:FE so there should be one in the new games.

Perfect Passer

Based on a question about commentary in another forum.

Quote from someone somewhere, known as Pele:
==================
[Previous quote] » "Better commentary. I always have mine in spanish, can't speak a word of it, but when you score its mental"«

"LOL. U and me both. Drives my son mental. I also had it on Italian and I now have pretty much all of it down, pat.

So at a dinner party the other night, these adult toffs, who I hate, were talking about foreign languages. So I lied—told them I spoke fluent Italian... the husband who doesn't play PS2 but is very competitive if you catch my drift... called me out and asked me to speak some Italian... so I ran off some spectacular Italian commentary in perfect dialect.

My wife was pretty pissed on the way home in the car, I can tell U."

Nice story :D

so there are no official club kits

Stuart
10-07-2003, 13:57
Does anyone no why there is no umbro symbol on the England kits when lookin at the screenshots of PES3?

Zygalski
10-07-2003, 14:01
I don't think Konami can really win here!
We bug them for news and pics before the game is finished and then, when they show us something we complain more about stuff that is missing.
:)

I reckon the logos will be in the final version, possibly a good contribution from both Umbro and Adidas.

Also, there are rumours of Milan and Roma (and maybe another couple of Italian clubs) will have the real and official kits as they have been seen in the opening screens for the game.

Stuart
10-07-2003, 14:06
thanx, but when we can by PES3 will they have the umbro symbol on the England kits like on PES2?

Zygalski
10-07-2003, 14:13
The kits do look plain at the moment but they will be sorted by the time it is released (95% sure on this).

Stuart
10-07-2003, 14:17
Cheers bud, is PES3 gonna be licenced by just Umbro, or others aswell?

Zygalski
10-07-2003, 14:21
A bit of adidas is all we have heard so far.
If anyone finds out anything new, I'm sure they will be letting us now.

Flipper the Priest

Sorry I already made a new thread with this question before I noticed this topic. How easy will it be to play and understand WE7 on my PAL PS2? It's been made pretty clear to me it will be the better game (or will it?*) and I'm a bit of a gaming novice so help would be much appreciated.

*Also, could someone shed light on this query too!

Zygalski
17-07-2003, 07:20
All it needs is apply patches for translation to make the game into English. More info in the thread you created.

wixon
17-07-2003, 10:12
whats all this about an official konami online database where you can download extra stuff?

Zygalski
17-07-2003, 10:28
Something about connecting your PS2 online to download new stats, players stuff like that. No great detail available yet.

jag87
17-07-2003, 14:54
ROMA, MILAN PARMA & LAZIO will have official kits

Flipper the Priest
17-07-2003, 16:08
So which will be the better game?

Zygalski
17-07-2003, 16:36
Some say they will be identical and some say that PES3 will be more updated. Hopefully the gameplay will be the same.
Hard to tell till they are released.

jag87
17-07-2003, 16:49
but i guess thats a gimmick to get the updated rosters as pes3 wont come with beckham at real madrid and u have to fork out 40 quid for a bb adapter then download it - MY THEORY

Zygalski
17-07-2003, 16:52
perfectly reasonable theory.
Based on PES2 that could happen.
Let's hope they are nicer than that though....

wixon
18-07-2003, 10:46
surely they'll want to make the game as updated as possible so they can try and compete for sales against FIFA?

jag87
18-07-2003, 10:53
very good theory wixon and i hope that its true - the kits for roma, ac, parma and lazio are a step in the right direction.

wixon
18-07-2003, 12:13
i hope those real kits make it into pes3. there're rumours going round that they will only be in WE7
