Yeah that was like that in the past but now it doesn't seem to be like that anymore cuz my DSL connection is 100% stable over the day as I never have random disconnects in other games as well. And you can even say when it's your own fault cuz normally you'd lose connection to the main server as well which happens when a 24h provider disconnect happens i.e. To me it looks like the plain programming mistake they made last year in the beginning where everybody would disconnect and still gain that win.
I wouldn't give a fuck normally, even with this penalty system for disconnects as I play most of my games from beginning to the end. But the problem this year is as I stated: You don't get the money and lose a match with your player. Imagine you have all top players and NEED that money to keep them. They fuck your MLO career, not only one measly match.

Now I do not want to falsely accuse him because there is a chance it can be a coincidence however when I was leading 1-0, the game disconnected in the 80th minute, and the records show that he beat me 3-0.

However, this is not the first time this has happened to me. Several players, almost always from South America or Europe, disconnect on me in the second half while I am leading and I end up with a 3-0 loss.

This is terrible. Instead of adding so many new features and trying to innovate the online experience, Konami should've really focused on the most important and most basic aspect of online play; MAKING SURE THAT WHOEVER DISCONNECTS IS THE PLAYER THAT LOSES!

This is so frustrating; it is subconsciously forcing me to not play to my full capabilities so that the game can be closer and that I do not run up the score in order to give some sort of incentive for the opposing player not to cheat and disconnect on me while receiving the win.

I generally must say that the penalty system introduced is forgiving and that it reflects the resocializing aspect civilized men should have. The one and only problem I have is the system with the contracts and that we lose one "match of contract" though the match was not completed. I also find that players should not lose a "match of contract" when they were not on the field. The financial system is very tricky in my eyes. You can get a lot of money quite quickly and get your desired players. But on the other hand you will stall at one point because of the upkeep costs... where players not on the field still add up to it. It's really not easy (which it doesn't have to be, but I'd say it's too harsh)...

Lost of transmission, new form of cheating. I was playing with a Mexican player Chartrix in MLO. He scored 2 goals first, and wrote in the cutscene "You aint gonna beat me!!". So then I scored 4 goals in a row, and only on my first goal I wrote "You aint gonna beat me" and the rest I wrote "I got lucky". Well after the fourth goal, he pauses the game and sends me a message "lost of transmission".

Well when he unpaused the game, the game lagged so much that the game disconnected and a message came up "Lost of transmission, game must end due to bad connectivity" and then I got 0 dollars!

So add Chartrix on the list.

I was having a game with him on MLO in a ranked match, I was leading 2-0 when the game gets abandoned at the 87th minute. He then sends me a message " ooooohhhhh noooooooo ohhhh nooo". So it was a deliberate disconnection on his part, I never got the win and I never got any money, there was no recollection of the result.

I checked his profile. He's ranked 544 in Div 1 with 28 wins and only 6 defeats at the time of me making this post. His match completion rate is roughly 77%, so I can only imagine he's done this several times already.

Once again avoid him, killermenilis, xbox 360 users remember the name and block him, because he will disconnect if you're beating him and then send you messages mocking the fact that he cheated.

Mates i'm new here...I have a simple question, maybe a naive one!

At times I am playing and the game is disconnected, but how do I know that my opponent had done that on purpose??...because to be honest, it happened a couple of times when I'm losing

it depends oziz, sometimes you see that the game's running fine and smooth until the moment you score, then the wanker starts to lag the game and shortly after that the game will disconnect. On these occasions, its almost 100% sure that the guy is cheating, I've played many of the top D1 players who does this, that's why you see people with like 200 game winning streaks lol.

WTF.. this disconnect cheat was evident LAST year too and maybe years before that if mymemory recalls.

Konami are just flipping rubbish.

I want a PES6 game with updated graphics, fully tweakable cameras, longer replay times and the capacity to play online with direct IP connections like we had years ago.

The way they just keep bolting on dodgy crap onto old builds is just so upsetting.
Every year I look into the compressed folders and find ancient redundant graphics. No doubt the same this time.

oh..here's a tip I try and promote...

whenever you play a game against someone and you complete the match without any major lag issues at the person to your friends list.

after a while you'll have developed a decent group of blokes and youll always find at least one or two of them online at the same time as yourself.

I think the ever-so unreliable Konami server has a major part to play. I used to think some people were cheaters but having had the server abandoning my match while I was losing 4-0 in the 80-90th minute has made me think otherwise.

Denin, the top 4 player in ratings quit on me in min 86 while losing 3-1. I've recorded the last moments when I realized what he's doing through Fraps. I can upload to youtube if anyone wants. The match abandoned after working perfectly fine the whole game. His rating was like 789 obviously he couldn't afford the loss. Just avoid him

I've come across a player on PC called SHAOLIN. Playing in the D3 cup online, everytime I missed the target he was giving it the sarcastic Well Done comments on replays til I scored to make it 1-0 in injury time then disconnected and I lost 3-0.

One thing I just realized about quitters... Whenever someone quits with the classic ¨bad connection¨ issue, and match is deleted, both teams loose 1 match on every single player on your squad, and also all get a bit of fatigue. It is unfair of course for the non-responsible part of it, but it guarantees that no-one is actually winning with a quit. You loose the money you will get even for loosing, and more than 11 or 14 players have lost a match....
A different story goes for buggers like FIGUEIRAS that make you loose the match. My advise is that if you are playing against someone like that... you should quit first and won´t let him get the money and the win. Or, if you are so cold minded, negotiate with the terrorist and let him win, use the backup players, and you´ll still get the money and less players used or cheaper players used.

I normally love playing my beloved PC patched up game offline, but yesterday I reformatted the wrong drive (even though Windows 7 said drive C was the one I was using but XP Pro said it the other way around!?!?), so I was left totally gutted.

So I took a little time out and couldn't be arsed to set everything back up straight away, so had a go on the PS3, and more to the point online.

I must say guys, after five games, I've taking huge pleasure in trying to beat the pressure noobs, HUGE.

I won't name and shame this one particular guy, but in a 15 min game, he pressed ALL DAY LONG WITH EVERY FKIN PLAYER, CONSTANTLY RAPING THE SPRINT BUTTON.

So, I had enough of this shit last week, and have developed a tactic perfectly suited for these assholes. And I must say I'm getting such a sadistic pleasure in having the ball for 60-65% of the match whilst these f'kers try to rape me in every situation. It's becoming almost my mission in life to get them wound up (if they pressure me).

I played this guy who went Fiorentina, I thought great a different game, then his team popped up with the usual suspects Iniesta, Messi, Ronaldo etc etc.

I won the game 1-0, with a jammy goal, but because of his nature of playing I was left with only ne option ie to play the game realistically and to keep possession at the back until space opened up in midfield.

I then had some flak off him not surprisingly; 'all I do is keepball', 'why don't you play football', 'Barce, Man U and everyone presses', etc etc etc.

I'm sick of these online whores, and one by one, I'm looking to take them down. I used to used to just exit the game if someone went Barce or Real or used their custom shit against me, but now I'm looking forward to see them cry.

Against like minded PES players, online is an absolute joy, against these whores, online is a train wreck. BUT, it is worth it in the end.

I don't even care about ratings anymore (although I never have to be honest), I just want to see Messi run around my CBs all day.

To cap it all off, this guy said my style of football was boring etc -

a) because I hardly use sprint
b) I look to string passes together
c) I don't ping pong
d) I obviously look to shift the ball if I get pressured
e) I basically try and play the game like real life

He then said I should totally change the style of play 'if I want to win more online' lol, even though paradoxically I had just won against his mercenaries.

Anyways, just thought I should get it off my chest, it was the safest nights sleep I've had in ages!!! lol

Avoid grobari1970 if you're on PC. We played a game in MLO and he won 2-1. I gave him a fairplay rating even. Then again, I go to matchmaking and I get paired against him again. Guess what, after I am winning 4-0 he decides to quit, the thing where the connection has significantly worsened. What a douche, I gave him a lesson on how to accept a defeat, and even give your opponent a fairplay rating, and now he quits on me.

YES! This is exactly what I am doing now. The outcome of the game has become totally irrelevant to me, I just want to play some good football. This is the only way I can enjoy the game.

Ive gone with a high line (20), as no matter what I did barcelona / madrid players will find a way through. Played one guy this morning, he beat me 3-0 but he literally didn't touch the ball and in the 2nd half he really began to loose it, flying in with wild tackles everywhere trying to get the the ball. And I wasn't just knocking it around 20 yards in front of my goal, it was all in his half of the field.

This also highlights my biggest problem with PES. There is no reward for posession or clever use of the ball to open up space. I always concede in the same manner. I will have the ball for 5-6 minutes. Opposition intercept, one punt down the middle and goal for them. I don't understand when im pulling their team all over the pitch yet it is my centre backs who end up with a 10 yard space between them

Last night there were 218,000 players (aproximately) playing competitions, quick matches and cups on PES 2012 Online (Europe). I cannot recall what time it was but at some point the count had reached the number above. I was then patiently waiting for him to choose his club but after 1 minute, he didn't choose which team he wanted to be. Frustrated, I press back to try cancelling the match and as I soon as I played back, I randomly got chosen as Saudi Arabia and he quickly chose Barca. I got so pissed off that he, by using some sort of cheat, chose me a team and whats worse was that it was Saudi Arabia of all teams. I ended up getting beat 4-0 but I'm not going to even bother saying how he won me.

Well, the fact that he left it so long before chosing Barca makes me think otherwise. I've had people (on PES2011) do similar things. I asked a guy (who was a Greek Panathanaikos fan) to pick Pana, he said he would. He hovered over Pana for a while before moving to Barca in the dying seconds. I think you have too much faith in the community :). People who pick Barca are not sound-minded.

I agree with the cheating in team selection, I really wish you had to earn the level of team you can play as. eg player level division five weak teams division one-worlds top teams and then players in the same ranking ACTUALLY play each other and then get promoted to the next player level ranking where you could then pick better teams. I think this would improve the fairness, competition and make it a more playable game in the long term.

The amount of times you can be the WAY BETTER player whatever team you are weaker or stronger and still lose thanks to the massive amount of scripting and glitches is unbelievable (playing barcelona the best example). fix it konami, can it be that hard to?

In Fifa, you can have it so you're matched up against even teams. I think in standard match making, you pick your team before being paired with an opponent, and it pits you against one with a similarly strengthed team.

Second half he purposely had a player sent off then proceeded to put everyone of his players upfront and put Messi in goal. After scoring two more he then scored two own goals... wasnt bothered as i thought id get the money with him doing it purposely, but low and behold in the 85th minute, pause...... game resume.... LAG OUT! No f**king money, 1 game stripped off player contracts, energy reduced off ALL players and a 3-0 loss...

Im sorry but there has to be a way to deal with this shit cos it just ruins the online game for me.

I kind of experienced the same thing once. Got paired with a dude, lost the game, gave him a fairplay thumbs up. Then again I go to match making, I'm paired with him again - it was a morning, not so many people online. So guess what, I'm leading 4-0 and he quits on me. Nothing ever registers... I'm sorry for the fairplay rating I gave him in the first place most.

No you didn't. If he's English and playing on the UK server he would presumably hope to play an opponent from the UK. What ends up happening is you got shit loads of people from the Middle East and Africa who inherently have bad connections because they are thousands of miles away.

I also do not like playing online because of the disconnectors. It should log the result up to that point, and keep the stats, but mark the disconnector as DNF and lower their rating, leaving you untouched and with your victory.
I was 3-0 down the other day within 20 mins or so, battled like fuck to get it back level then scored what I considered a winner in the 86th minute. He just disconnected. AAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRGGHHHHH.

jmz thats pretty good. Unfortunately I bought American version so I only gt to play against the same team over and over. I once played a rubin kazan but only because the guy never picked a team and it was random.

I think 90% of the French people I've met online (in any game), have been arseholes. This may not relate to the whole nation... but it does to French gamers. ;)

I used to have some pretty decent Ligue 1 type matches with French players. More often though a lot of these players professing themselves to be French where actually from places like Algeria and West Africa :ohmy:

I would agree in the beginning of playing PES online I used to think people with KSA in front of their names was some sort of massive PES type clan. As seemingly all the players displayed the same charatcerisitcs top teams, excessive use of taunts no way! no way!, how did he save that? and they would always send me messages like what email you have? where from? KSA teh best. Then i realize it stood for Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and I made it a habit not to play these people.
