I'm going to suggest a few that I've bought after starting MLO earlier this week. They're all dirt cheap and have been pretty decent so far:


DEFENCE:

De Vrij - cost me like 1.5 million, he's 1.89 meter tall and has 70+ stats for a lot of things

Alkwijd - speed stat of 84, balance 84 and defence 76. Overall rating 63 so again dirt cheap.


MIDFIELD:

Etzanichenko - This is an absolute must buy, even if its just for his free kicks. 88 and 87 for free kick accuracy and curve, I've scored about 8 free kicks in 40 games with him. His passing stats are decent too: 88 short pass accuracy, 80+ for the other 3 passing stats and high 70's for shot accuracy. Overall rating of 64 meaning he's available for probably less than 2 million.


ATTACK:

Mphela - he's the most popular guy in the game, if you don't have him then definitely check him out. He's quick, agile and for me he has like 30 goals in 40 games.

Dost - cost me like 1.5 million I think. He's absolutely huge (1.96m) and has a decent heading stat of I believe 82 or 84. In like 30 games prior to his signing, I scored maybe once from a corner. In 5 games with him I've already scored 4 headers from corners, so clearly he is a good aerial threat.


Odemwingie - he's not such an unknown player as the others, so I'm sure you'll eventually stumble across him. But have a look, he's got good stats to play as a winger or side midfielder. Is a bit more expensive though.

Nuno Gomes. Pretty good CF and only about a couple of million.

Hubsmann. DF with a form of 7 and about a couple of million.

try Maloney, a cheap left midfielder, his default position is AM but his rating overall rating increases if played on the left side. he is right footed playing on the left so he will be great for you if you like cutting in from outside. he has good stats( around 83~84) for dribbling, crossing, dribble speed and top speed. Very cheap player.

[RCD-Espanyol]

Iker muniain and Canales, a little more expensive than whats been mentioned here, but great players (around 3 million + or so) Víctor Montaño is also excellent. Dirt cheap with speed, strength and shot accuracy 80+ and only about 1.8 million or so! Robbie Keane too is cheap.

On a side note, when you get more money... get Pastore! This guy is just beast and very very similar to Kaká with some stats less and some more. More importantly he's only a fraction the cost of Kaká... He has 91 pass and excellent dribbling and shooting stats.

Also I don't know why, but a lot of the German (or indeed Bundesliga based players...) are f-ing cheap compared to other more...'popular' (in PES world) strikers. With more or less the same or better stats.

Iaquinta is a beast up front. around 74 but goes up to 77 as CF. can play as SS or SMF. He's well worth paying for - scores a lot from corners and has a beastly shot - shrug of defender and bam top corner.

It's all relative to how much money you have, obviously Ronaldo, Messi and co are the best :P

But good budget players;

Barreto CF (61 - when played as LM/RM goes to 76 I think)
Petorbenov CF (66 I think when played as RWF - 78)
Daniel Holm - Really solid utility man with great all round abilities.

De Michele. He'll cost about 9million but he's quality and well worth the money. Play him as a SS and he's 77 but he's better then 77. I've scored hatricks with him on green.

He's a poor mans Messi.

Koroki is a good little forward for only a couple of million. Scored five goals with him in one match last night.

'U.Davila' is brilliant. Agile and quick left footed attacking midfielder. He can play AMF, plus wings and as SS. Extremely cheap and scores loads of goals!

'Zeca' is also a top quality cheap purchase. Can play loads of positions and is skilful too!

'allen'-he's a must have utility player and even on blue form he gets the job done!

'wisdom' decent cb if you have a small budget!

'Villalba' pint-sized SS/CF with pace to burn. Gets loads of goals through shear pace

willian alves as cb, cheap, tall, has a good speed and body balance, can stop a fast atacker, works perfect for me
toquero, very universal, good in attack and defence also, has a good response and dribling, nice speed, works great at right side of the pitch, a cheap version of srna or even dani alves :)

Remember he was good in the last version, dunno if the other speed merchants are still as good Krasic, Dotan etc, anyone know?

Seen a number of guys with Hoaru- any good? and who is that in 'real life'?

Dotan is lightning quick. Not sure about his actual ability bit he's pretty good from what I can tell.

Also Tiote is a must have. Strong, versatile and fairly quick, plus reasonably priced.

yes they are still good, maybe better than last version. u should try Dotan.

Hoarua is a tall frech player that plays for PSG.
Also drenthe is legendary and has scored beauties with me as always constantly supplying crosses and great at assist-leading.
ALso mujangi bia is great and agile and so is opare

Great question, here are a few CF that I have used in the past.

Ibrahimovic - probably the best striker in terms of strength and skill.

Aguero - give him the ball and he can run circles around defenders

Drogba - great aerial threat, holds the ball well

Rooney - strong, quick and has a deadly shot

Pato - speed vs speed and he'll win 99% of the time

Now ibrahimovitch is going up form, so he is best buy. Drogba sucks imo because ball controll etc stats, rooney is great but I dont know why he feels so slow given his stats in speed are like 88.. but his form will go down now.

Need help with choosing a new CMF.

I am playing with 1 defensive midfielder, 2 center midfielders, 2 side midfielders and 1 striker.

DMF is Lassan Diarra, 1 CMF is Sweinsteiger, now I need another 1 CMF.

Which CMF would do the most justice to my team considering my formation? I have lots of money so I can buy anyone.

I am undecided between pirlo, gerrard, seedorf, lampard and xavi. Each one has his strengths and I just don't know which one would be the best especially for my formation.

Any tips guys?

David Pizarro as Cmf.His stats go from 84 as a dmf up to an 89 as a cmf.I also like Silva and Hamsik as CMF.I play 4-4-2 with 2 cmf and when I have had Silv he has basically been all over the shop making chances up to one minute and then clearing up ant danger at the back the next,he's been better than any dmf I have had.

I have both, I must say Rooney takes advantage of other players. On the other hand, Ibrahimovic is more of an big man striker, scores from all over the pitch. It depends on the team and team style you play.

Cheap Strikers are for example Robbie Keane and Wair Matelan. Both are cheap and really good.

maxi lopez scored alot when i was building up my team. He was even gettin some playtime from the bench when i had a team with much better players
