Players on form

Can anyone tell me if it's possible to see if a player is on form before you sign them?
I have just signed 3 players and they are all on purple arrows and it's making signing players a bit of a lottery as you have no idea when you will be able to play them??
If anyone has any suggestions would be glad to hear.

yes, althoug you cannot search directly players with top form, you can see the form of the players on your search list by pressinb r1 or r2 couple of times till you see the arrow.

idealy this is the best thing to do - I only ever have 'whitey's' in my team. Red arrows are for cheesers!!!
