In January when you get new youth team players, does your entire youth team roster get replaced or just the empty slots from previous signings?

Entire team, but not in the first January if you've signed and released the bad ones.

i once read that hte youth team will contain your best 20(?) youth players, so the cpu decides (based on the investments in your youth team) how good your youth player will be and will select the best ones to be available for signing to your 1st sqaud.so the open slots will be filled, but also the worst players can be replaced by better ones
