For those users who have been banned to apologise and ask why they were banned. I remember being banned a little while ago and not knowing why.

I can confirm that the ban was for aggressive language to other members.

Most times, members get a Private Message warning (or several, depending on the seriousness of the situation) so the warned member is aware of the problem.
Which makes this thread rather pointless, really :confused:

The staff at Insight want a site that is fun, useful and popular.
Sometimes a bit of an argument is fine, but personal, aggressive posting is ill-advised.
Read the "Forum Rules" if you, or anyone else are uncertain of what behaviour is acceptable or not.

Stop lying ! :mad: I informed you and your mate why you were banned, plus you got a warning a few days earlier. Stevieboy is right ! I have this pm still in my archive, I can show it to everyone who wants to see it.
Back to topic. You donīt have to apologise, you can do it voluntarily if your ban expires.

Yes I found out from Jonny Wilkinson, but if he wasn't a member then I wouldn't have found out why I was banned.
I got a "warning" a few days earlier but I was never told by any of the mods why I was banned.

Anyway, my idea has clearly been shot to pieces and the thread has gone off topic, so someone should close it.

If you have a warning for aggressive language and get a ban a few days later you must be really stupid if you donīt know why you were banned. Thatīs it !
You lied as you told us in the first post that you were not informed about your ban, but actually you were. Plus thereīs not really a duty for us to tell people why they were banned, they should know it, weīre not giving out bans for nothing.
