How does promotion / relegation work in mlo?

Any ideas? Why Konami did not keep the same structure of ranking and criteria for promotion / relegation in this year's MLO as we used to have in PES 2011? Please does anyone know how it works?

My guess is that they've changed it because you could know if you've done enough to get promoted before the time comes, then just not play any games to make sure you didn't drop ratings. As Konami obviously want more people playing, not less, this didn't make much sense so they did really have to do something.

Don't know how better I'd work it either but really don't enjoy the apparent randomness of it.
