This is my sig request thread, and I'm happy to make most a sig but please be aware of the following before requesting to avoid your sig being a box with a little red X in it............................ ...........

Be AWARE that YOU will have to find somehwere to host the sigs I make, I don't have the room to host everyone's sigs!! I will host them for a short period after making them so you can get them, after that your'e on your own.

I'm also open to make sigs for those who are in need and have been around a while....

When requesting please let me know the following.

1. Who, in particular if it's a team sig, which specific players you want in it.

2. Background colour.

3. Any text you may want in it.

If a mod could get back to me on the Sig Size Limit I'd be very grateful.

PLEASE NOTE: I try my hardest to find decent pics of the requested teams and players for sigs BUT if you have "specific" pics you want of players then please feel free to send me copies of the pics and/or links to them. (the size of them isn't usually a huge issue.)

Added: HOW TO PUT YOUR SIG IN YOUR POSTS

1. Have a sig to start with.

2. Have it hosted somewhere, Frutsel, Uploadit.org, etc.

3. At where you host it, you should be able to view it, when you do, copy the URL that is in the Browser Window.

4. Go to User CP on the top of the screen.

5. Click on Signature.

6. Click on the add image icon, yellow one with black on it. (highlight it and it should say add image)

7. Paste the URL into the little window that pops up, the window automatically comes up with a http:// in it, be sure you don't put two of these in as you sig will not work.

8. Preview the sig to make sure it works, if it doesn't you may have either messed up one of the points above. So try again, if it still won't work after SEVERAL attempts, PM Me and I'll try to help.

Just to make you aware, Sigs can take a little while to make. What with work and other commitments i can't always have them at the drop of a hat.

If you post asking for a sig in here, then I will do it (or explain why I can't/won't) As soon as I can.

Some sigs may be done in a couple of hours, other may take days..........depending on family and work commitments and even how obscure the pics you want for your sig are to find.

Please be patient and I'll do my best...

I had look at the link Marshy and the pic appears a bit blurry..I think it may have lost some sharpness in the compression process (I can only host 30kb or less sigs)

I will try the compression again and repost the link. The quality of the actual image isn't that good but i was running short on images of Moore in an England kit.

As an aside have you tried it to see if it works in your sig?? Anyone??

Marshy, I tried to sharpen the image and played with the compression but that is the best I can do. If you find a better image of Moore I'll be happy to put it on the sig for you.

Angelfire doesn't allow remote linking neither does lycos, you cant post links to images like that. To get them to work even copy the url and put it into a new browser window and sometimes add a ? to the end of the link, but you still cant put them in sigs

I'd like a black background, with a Nazi logo in the middle, which is slightly too large to fit in it's entirety. I'd like Adolf Hitler over the top of this (not covering it entirely, of course), with Benito Mussolini and Josef Stalin either side. I'll search for some pictures, but I'd like menacing looking pictures, rather than cheap happy ones.

Between the two, it should read: "Lock, Stock 'n' a Bird in a Coat" (on two lines).

It's all about http//www.uploadit.org. 20 jpeg images per free account. No hassle. Simple, effective, and you can remotely link to 'em.

The only downside is it's jpeg only, but that's the most commonly used format anyway. Also, if 20 images isn't enough for you, just sign up a second account and so on!

I was thinking more that Adolf Hitler be over the top of the Nazi cross, which is in the middle. Basically, shift Hitler across to be over the cross.

One last thing, if you could play around with the cross and make it less flashy 'n' coloury - the Nazi cross with the red ring around it was what I was after. But yeah, you're pretty much there.

Del piero one is good chewy, wasnt impressed with your other sigs ill be honest coz they were all the same but i like that. Only one thing is the grey swirly bit on the right, maybe could have blurred it a bit its kinda freaky :p

Mutu, Yea I know what you mean about them looking similar...It's a bit harder with football related sigs to make them individual....I was lucky with the Del Piero one, I found some good cuts to use. (Bit easier when he's so popular) The background took me longer to make then the rest of the sig........lol

The hardest part though about football sigs is the bet cuts are found on the official sites.......I don't know about you, but how many LFC fans do you know that want to be members of the Everton and Man U sites?? lol ;)

I also didn't want to be too artistic with them as people get upset I've found when you superimpose their fave stars! lol

Like KCGPEN, I've only been using photoshop for about three weeks so I'm still learning my way around the whole system, so I'm always improving.

Transparency in the layers tab, set it to whatever you need, 50% being half way and 0% being invisible obviously
That and a few effects could help like gaussian blurring it

If youre on about photoshop try right clicking on your layers in the 'layer window' and clicking on blending options this gives a few more 'tricks' like bluring bleeding and dissolving layers into each other. And Nifty its called Opacity, like you said how opaque the layer is so it does make sense to reduce this number.

Ade is a hard worker who only performs under Tony Pulis, ade has even admitted TP knows more about than he does. OK, he doesnt always hit the target but he gives his all and thats the sort of player i like to see. After all, given his chance Ade can score a cople and set the odd 1 up. Ade has his strengths too, his pace and power being the main ones.

I just found a little story about Ade on another forum take a read

Got a little story that i want to share with you all, it is about Ade Akinbiyi(if you hadn't gussed yet ).

Last Saturday, Stoke were playing away at Notts Forest and i was at the match with the 1,700 Stoke supporters. It was a average game, not many chances but we should have got the win, it ended in a 0-0 draw. However, Ade Akinbiyi was not available for this match due to a back injury that ruled him out for at least 2/3 weeks.

During the second half, a Black coloured steward came over to the Stoke end and told a Stoke supporter, 'This is somebody elses seat, you will have to move please'. So the fan moved and this caused quite a fuss in the crowd because they felt that this was unfair, so everybody's attention was on the steward. This steward however looked very much like Ade due to his skin, facial features and dreadlocked hair so he got many songs sung at him(Ade Ade Ade etc.). And once we started singing he had a big grin on his face and gave us all a thumbs up and did a kind of signal that Ade does to the corwd....we then realised that......The steward was Ade Akinbiyi!!!

He must have put on a steward's overall on and came into the Stoke crowd just for a laugh....obviously he had to do something to a supporter just for the fun of it.

I think that this was absolutely brilliant and shows what a top bloke Akinbiyi is. Nobody else would have even dreamt about doing anything like this...absolute top-class.

Ash, that sig is quite good for a first try, the background is quite plain, you could have maybe tried to get a flag effect going there, the cutting however is great for a first go.

I would have maybe tried to throw a few more pics in there and fade/blend them but that's me, simple is effective too I guess.

Did you save it and host it somehwere? if not then it's probably disappeared forever.

I mention in my first post that I don't have the server space to store sigs for everyone, so as soon as you get it, save it to disk, and then find somwhere to host it. uploadit.org is good as recommended by Nifty.

I delete all sigs I make as soon as someone starts using them, so it's gone from my computer.

Yeah simple is effective, if it is crammem too much it spoils it, like your sig is plain, if there were more characters, it wouldn't look as nice. Anyway what could I do to my flag in my sig to make it better?

With Gradients you can make it look like the flag is waving...

A couple of you got this in a PM so I could make sure you read it.

I am still hosting your sigs on my server, I don't have enough room to host people's sigs on my server.

All you have to do to keep your sig is:

1. Save it onto your computer (C: drive is best)

2. Go to a site like www.uploadit.org (http://www.uploadit.org), create an account and upload it there.

3. Open the sig, copy the link from the browser window and paste it into your sig as you have already.

************Be aware that 7 days after someone has collected their sig (started using it) I delete it form photoshop and my computer, meaning that if you don't act quickly, you may lose your current sig!!

I'm not in the habit of making multiple sigs for people who just lose them because they didn't save or host them themselves.

I will keep your sig on my computer and server until:

a) You reply saying that you've done the above.

b) 7 days after I send this post.
