I've also seen Big Fish this month! What a cracker! One of the most heart-warming, fantastic films of the year. One of my all time faves actually! Very near to shedding a tear at the end there!

I watched The Butterfly Effect last night. It was so much better than I thought it would be. If anyone is into those psychological, science fiction thrillers then I'd recommend it. It’s different, creative and I thought it was really cool.

Premise: A young man (Ashton Kutcher) struggling with the psychological effects of sublimated childhood memories devises a technique of travelling back in time to inhabit his childhood body, but he finds that every trip back has unintended results on his present self, leading him to travel back again and again, trying to repair the damage that he's only making worse and worse.

Nah , never mind - last samurai is like fairy-tale..it is very "idealized movie" - if you want see much better view on the same time period, forgot about tom cruise and hollywood bullshit - go and see "When the Last Sword is Draw" (2003) .

What's there to sense? It tired stupidly hard to make all that emotion. Watch True Romance, that's got emotion and kicks so much more ass.

Recently I've seen....

Along Came Polly - Not too bad, don't expect too much of course.

Passion Of The Christ - Boring and crappy, worse then Braveheart.

Shaun Of The Dead - Great, really enjoyed it. Funny as.

Next on my viewing list are Girl Next Door, Dawn Of The Dead and of course, Kill Bill 2.

Well, then you thinking is devious and looks like you never see really good film with JAPAN origin. Maybe you need only grow up to understand (don't know how you age is , sorry). Last samurai is pure mediocrity.

True. I thought the costumes were good, but like you say it tries too hard, theres plenty of original samauri movies that have alot more depth and raw emotion in them.

Pfft I don't see why women can't appreciate Pulp Fiction...

Van Helsing (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0338526) May 7th
Troy (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0332452) May 21
The Day After Tomorrow (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0319262) May 28

The one I'm really looking forward to seeing is 'Blade Trinity', it was meant to be a summer release but now it'll be out sometime in December.

So you could say your Friday wasn't long enough then, slightly ironic.

I've seen these holidays:

American History X - Ace film
Animal Attractions - Dog shite, didn't even watch the end
Bad Boys 2 - Cheesy but thoroughly enjoyed
Trainspottting - Good, coul've done without seeing McGregor's light saber though

not if i get to her first

I went out with this girl who had loads of Aretha Franklin, Nina Simone and other blues/soul on vinyl. I loved going through her record collection, but I did the dirty on her, and I'm still gutted whenever I hear some Marvin Gaye !

Just do a film and media studies course and you'll be loving it.

Back on topic everyone should watch The Long Good Friday its amazing, and Trees Lounge is on tomorrow night on BBC2 written and directed by Steve Buscemi its quite cool.

For some reason I watched Sliding Doors on the telly last night. Had to switch over at various points - it was making me cringe. Awful film. I've got loads of mates who are Scottish and not one of them behaves like that poncy Hannah! What a tw@! Only stayed watching cos I was hoping that Gwyneth might die or get dumped again. Sadly neither...
The BBC owes me 2 hours of my life that I want back.

Top 5 bruce lee films in order are: -

1 - Enter the dragon
2 - Game of death (the whole idea of the ladder type tournament was great and skills were amazing (avoid game of death 2 - died during filming and is so badly edited with his footage)
3 - The big boss (just coz was his first)
4 - Fist of Fury
5 - The green hornet - shocking, but makes u laugh in a batman and robin sense
