I only know they announced that next week the will announce a release date and more details. This was some days ago. It's rumored to be more then just a transfers update. But you'll never know.

I can confirm no update will hit in Feb, and also suggest there’s a lot more coming than just a transfer update.

regarding the boots... i see when i created my legend, the boots have stats assigned to them, is this the case for normal (original) players?

Jon Murphy has revealed the first details about the upcoming DLC for PES 2012.

The data pack, which has been in submission this week, will focus on implementing the squads in reflection of last month's transfer window. Additionally, some national kits will also be updated and some more items - likely to be new boots and/or footballs - will be added too.
