If it's legit, then who would do the deed, whether next year, or even at 'mania 30? Discuss, and then all laugh back at this in a couple years' time when John Cena gets knifed by someone.
If they do decide to end it, it will be John Cena.
I will be very disappointed to see it end though.

Well I was hoping for a more contradictive discussion, but I agree with you. Of the current crop, Cena's the only one that could legitimately do it.
Not only that, but Cena is their guy. They know Cena will never leave them. And he will always be at the top. So it's the safest choice for them.
Punk could leave at anytime, Orton has faced Taker already and that's about it in terms of who could be a real threat.

The only way I could see it being someone else would be if Taker was still around for atleast another five or six years for them find "the next John Cena", and I don't think he will be.
Taker needs to behave himself, shut the fuck up and retire his bald ass after he beats HHH in the Cell in a few weeks.
Not one fan wants to see the streak end and that is what is important.

Kane

I suppose Kane's the other one that would be acceptable, to me atleast. Best not mention that one to Joel.
Surely if it's what he wants, Joel, then we owe him that? Afterall he has literally given his life to us. You know how tough being a full time wrestler is, and he did it for two decades. Plus, it could be a passing of the torch type thing.

Fake Undertaker (Brian Lee). Best way to save face, losing to yourself.
I'm not surprised he wants it to end, there's a saying in the industry that when you go out, 'you out on your back'.
He was happy for Kurt Angle to beat him at WrestleMania 22, but Kurt didn't want to so they had the match at No Way Out. Triple H himself has said the streak should never be broken, so Undertaker would have to push really, really hard to get people to agree with him.
Just imagine if he faced Triple H again. How devalued do you want the streak to get?

Fuck Triple H. If he gets it, I WILL riot. He's already won near world record amounts of titles, despite being nothing more than a good worker. He's wank on the stick, and the whole "I am the game" shit got boring a long time ago. Please do not mention him in this thread again.

You need to stop. Seriously.

Joel, I admit he's excellent in the ring. No confusion. But here's the thing, his promos are mostly pretty crap.
Ok. I thought you was saying that he was only decent in the ring. His ring work in 2000 until his injury was nothing less than brilliant.
His mic work varies. I would never say it is crap, but it is not great.

Anyway, I think (hope) we can rule him out of the (potential) question being asked here. I'm going to work now, and I want more than Cena put forward by 11 when I come home!
Well Cena is the only contender. Everyone else (Lesnar, Sting, Jericho, Rock) are only thought of because of:
1. the occasion the match brings, and
2. improving the streaks résumé.
You can't call Triple H a bad mic worker though. Certainly not since he become one of "the" guys and not playing second fiddle to HBK or getting roasted consistantly by Rock/Austin.

Yes I can Andy, because he's pants.
Original?

Kane
This would have been acceptable had they not utterly ruined him back when I was still watching wrestling.
