i think defense is so not realistic,u cant just go with one attacker and go through all defenders,its so easy to score goals. Defense in 2011 ver. Is much more realistic i wish update defense to be more realistic and tougher...

also to many fouls!!! when u get a defender to take the ball from the other player either you get fouled or you cant get the ball.

i know it make the game harder (only in defense) but this causes goal at most of anyone attack, and its better to be harder in attack than the defense.

i wish to get more realistic defense and harder offense to get more realistic game.

other things is the best always...

How many hours have you played PES 12? If I play against you, you can pick Real/Barca and I can promise you you will not easely dribble trough my defense with Messi/Ronaldo. You just need to practice more. Use R2 +X or Square to defend. It's not so hard mate:D

The problem with the defence is that it works against real players but sucks agains the ai

i played it online only for about 50 games.
when playing 2011 i reached 720 points but only reached 530 in 2012 as i got many many many goals.
i tried using R2 +X, only X and the square bottom but still get many goals and attackers go throw my defense and score, or if i stopped them get fouled. specially when i play against barca, Messi just goes throw all my defenders.

thanks mate for your advise, i will practice more but still believe that 2011 ver. defense is much more realistic

50 games is very few. After I played 50 matches I also struggled with the new defence. It is very different then PES2011, but imo much better since it requires skill and you can't just press Sprint and X. You have to time your interceptions. Like all new games it requires training and 50 matches is not enough to properly master the game. Believe me if I say that defense system is not broken or bad. I have played at least 1000 matches and average players will not run trough my defense with Messi. Maybe once, but it is Messi, the best player in the world :)
