Shooting Tutorial (video)

Hi guys,
I hear a lot of people here complaining that the shooting in PES is broken. Though it indeed is not flawless I made a super quick tutorial an hour ago. It's just to show you can definitely aim your shots.

Whenever I press down and shoot, my player turns around and shoots messing it up.

So do you have to press shoot then down to shoot left?

Up to aim left (or to the right of the keeper), with the wide cam that is. But like I said it mostly timing. I always press the stick up (or down) in a 90 degrees angle. That gives me the best results. Off course not ervery shot is a goal, but I do manage to aim to the desired corner.

Pokervriend I applaud you for your efforts but that type of shooting (in normal view having to push the stick up for it to go left) is just not intuitive and I am just gonna wait for 2013(NBA 2K in the mean time). However I do admire your time and passion, but its a lot of work to do that while a defender is on you, we would be going against the natural law of positioning and direction.
I know you are just as eager as me for 2012, well maybe cautiously optimistic.
I will give it a try though!

If you press the up and down arrows longer, will it make the shot go wider or is it just random?

2) Press on 'Pause Menu' (Usually the first option)
3) Then click on 'Camera Settings' which is near the end
4) Then choose your desired one (For this one it is either 'Player' or '3D')

A do agree Konami should have made aiming easier and more logical. But is is what it is and the way I shoot works pretty well. I made a quick vid mainly to 'proof' aiming is possible and to help others who struggle shooting from outside the box.

Good effort mate. Love your passion. I've been slating the shooting in this game. Maybe is just difficult for me coming from FIFA where you have total over exactly where the ball is going!

Come to conclusion I just don't enjoy either game this year. Shame because I love football n have played them all my life. Next year fingers crossed!!!!!!

Quick thought aiming like this with no pressure n time is possible. But wen I have a man on my back or it's a quick snap shoot I seem to have no control. STRUGGERLING

You can aim in this game but it is so complex, the system - especially if you are playing online with lag. I'd rather let the computer choose where I shoot than use the amateur shooting system. It reminds me of the penalty system of PES 2011, pressing up to shoot left although it was alright in PES 2011 as it was a penalty with no pressure unlike actual shooting in a match.

I think I've confused everyone :facepalm:

I hope shooting next year will be more like Fifa to be honest. Though it is possible to aim, it is not logical and it took me way too long to get the hang of it.
