How are St Louis doing? They used to be my favourite team, in that they were the team I picked when I bought NHL 95 on the Megadrive.

Sidney Crosby signed a 10-yr deal to keep in Pittsburgh. 104mill. that is a lot of bread.
Malkin will be free agent again in 2 years; doubt we can keep those two together again in a small market team like the Penguins (Pens).
I've never got into Ice Hockey and/or the NHL. I've tried to watch it a few times but I just find it hard to watch, I don't know if that's done to the puck size/visibility....
But due to my uncle living in Edmonton and visiting the city a couple of times and picking up Oiler merchandise here and there, I would probably go for them if I started to follow the sport.

NHL is still under owner lockout so no current season...and I swear no one in the U.S. cares. I watch hockey and am not bothered by it in the least.

i watch it and like it, just isn't hurting me for some reason to not have it. I felt the same way the last strike happened. The last strike turned out great because a 44 game season so each game seemed so important.

I like hockey too. Used to watch it a lot, I also used to live in Philadelphia so that helped. I haven't watched it as much the last few years due to lack of TV coverage and irregular & awkward TV scheduling.
Unfortunately I think IronCity's on to something though. I really missed the NHL during the last lockout, but this time round it's not affected me much at all really. Infact it's good for hockey in Europe. Some of the World's best players are back in their home countries, attendances are up. I know people who are planning their holiday's around the hockey, going to places like Prague to watch top games featuring plenty of NHL players.
Bet they never expected that, the NHL lockout being good for the European economy!

Hi guys, I just did a short survey for the NHL Fans Association and thought maybe you'd like to join it. I've been a member for years and it's very unobtrusive, I'd recommend it in order to get help get the fans voice heard on issues in and around the NHL, or lack of it!
Here's what they say:
Visit the NHL Fans' Association Web site (www.nhlfa.com) and add your voice to the 30,000+ hockey fans that want to be heard.
Best of all, it's FREE.

Thori
how do you like obtaining Jagr. I am still a big fan of his back from the Penguins days.
Pens grabbed up Jarome Iginla, Brenden Morrow, Jokinen, and D Murray before the deadline.
Iggy has been my favorite non-penguins player for some time so it is a little dreamlike to get him.

Thori,
You still around these days? Look like a Penguins - Bruins semi is in store. TBH, Boston was the one team I didn't want sticking around if the Penguins got this far.
NHL Playoff points leaders
1. David Krejci, BOS 17
2. Evgeni Malkin, PIT 16
2. Kris Letang, PIT 16
4. Sidney Crosby, PIT 15
5. Jarome Iginla, PIT 12
and lets not forget about this guy
