It will be interesting to see just how integral Nemanja Vidic could be this season. If I'm honest, I think I've managed to secure a potentially excellent signing in Phil Jones. A player who vastly exceeded expectations last season, but also a player who is incredibly versatile. So while Vidic may slot back in at CB, Phil Jones can just as easily move into the RB position as he has done on a number of occasions - or even DMF where he's also proved his worth. I was really quite surprised that Phil Jones didn't command a much higher figure in the market.

My guess is you got yourself a good 2 pt per game player there. Sort of like my Leon Britton. You can guarantee yourself a start but not much else. My entire first half of this season was composed of defensive mf-ers; Britton, Mulumbu, Yacob, J. Garcia, Mikel. No wonder I am where I am at.

Edit: I might take the above written statement back; I was thinking you wrote you were just hoping he played there but just saw that he actually did play behind Cisse. Not too shabby.
