When can I next bid?

Section 6, the FINAL window of 2013 opens Friday 1st February, 23:59 (GMT) and closes on Sunday 3rd February, 23:59 (GMT). You may bid on 5 players in any position during this 48-hour window. Auction results will be announced on Monday 4th February.

Who can I bid for?

You may bid on a total of 5 players in any position during this 48 hour window. Players eligible to be bid for are those who are listed as a Free agent in the A-Z list.

Please read all of the information below before making your first bid.

Bidding schedule.

Section 6, the FINAL window of 2013 opens Friday 1st February, 23:59 (GMT) and closes on Sunday 3rd February, 23:59 (GMT). You may bid on 5 players in any position during this 48-hour window. Auction results will be announced on Monday 4th February.

Rules on bidding.

1. Each manager may submit only the number of bidding forms per section as stipulated. If a manager makes more than the number of allowed bids during any one section, the first bids will be considered active unless a PM is sent to me explaining exactly which bids should be retracted.

2. Each form can be used to bid on a single player.

3. The minimum amount that can be bid is £3.0m. Bidding intervals are £0.1m. There is no maximum cap for bids.

4. All bids are explicit. The amount that you have bid (first bid, secondary bid or final bid) is the amount that you will pay if you are the highest bidder. Bidding is not in an eBay-style auction. Please be mindful of your budgets.

Example:

Manager A bids £3.0m, £5.0m and £6.5m.

Manager B bids £4.0m, £4.6m and £5.2m.

Manager A signs the player for £6.5m.

5. Auctions for all players will never carry across more than one bidding section, regardless of when in that section the first bid is made for any player. In order to be in with a chance of winning a player, you must make a bid within the open frame for that section. Bids are automatically date- and time-stamped to easily resolve any disputes.

6. In the case of two or more managers bidding an identical maximum amount for a player, the case will be followed up via PM.

7. Transfers will be finalised in a chronological order, with those players who were bid for earliest throughout the bidding section considered to be finalised first.

8. If a manager has insufficient funds to finalise a transfer, his bids will be withdrawn and the auction will be settled as though the bid had never been made. If you have sold a player to raise additional funds, the confirmation must be posted in the Completed Transfers thread before the finalisation of any auction that relies on those funds.

9. Only players who appear in the A-to-Z list (which will be updated frequently, but never during an active bidding section) can be bid on. Please do not bid on players who are in the process of finalising their transfers into the league but have yet to appear in the list. Bids made for players in these circumstances will be disregarded.

How to bid.

1. Consult the A-to-Z list (http://www.mediafire.com/?qztyzmddn4t099z) to see which players are available. This will be updated at least once per day to reflect results of completed auctions.

2. Click here (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dHowaHlmNjNzd nFQeWp5LXVqQ3JaLWc6MA#gid=0) to open the bidding form.

3. Fill out the form, ensuring all relevant fields are completed correctly.

Just to confirm - something that I didn't explicitly state in either the A-to-Z thread or this thread previously - the A-to-Z list will only be updated and made available in between bidding sections (i.e. during the admin day).

What this means is that there is no advantage to be had by bidding later in the bidding section, giving yourself the chance to secure a newcomer into the league that ties up a deal on day 2 of any bidding section.

I would do daily updates, but this could lead to an unfair advantage and parity is important.

Section listing updated with all sections up to the start of the Premier League season (Saturday 18th August).

Please note, section 14 will only last one day.

A quick heads up. We're currently in Section 12 - 11th-12th August: forwards.

Managers may only bid on forwards during these two days. Each manager is permitted to bid on a total of three players during this section. Results will be announced on Monday 13th August. Please note, this is the third and final forwards-only bidding sections.

I know we're still waiting for Nifty to post the midfielders round but we need to continue as best we can as the season is only a week away now.

Before anyone posts about budgets and other concerns etc, please note, I said continue as best we can. Use your noggin before bidding, deduct the top bids you made on each player last round from your budget. If you can't remember just estimate high to ensure you don't go bust.

Update and apology:

When bidding on sections, please make sure you use the link in the 1st post of this thread as opposed to a link saved in your browser.

The link is updated and if you submit bids to an older link I'm afraid you're going to miss out on players.

Cheers

If you have a question or concern you can PM me regarding a bid as well as Nifty during the next 23 hours and 37 minutes - and counting.

After Nifty closes out the last auction, every Club will have the opportunity to complete club to club transfers until Friday, Feb 8th at 23:59. Also, this time marks the period that all clubs must submit their final 25-man roster for the remainder of the season.

Remember that the 25 man roster must be composed of the following:
3 Goalkeepers, 8 Defenders, 9 Midfielders, 5 Strikers

You shall post your final 25 man roster in the first and last post of your club thread (the last lets me realize it was updated).

Clubs failing to complete this action will be penalized points. How many? I haven't decided yet.
