View Full Version : PES 2013 or FIFA 13?
so guys, are you going to buy pes or fifa this year??
Wouldn’t it be common sense to have included a poll?
if you asked me a month ago I would'be said definitely PES13.
But I've sinced traded in PES12 and got FIFA 11...and man am I enjoying it like crazy. Ended my first season with Bayern last night, 3 clubs ended on 70 points, but I won the league on goal difference! Was epic!
Point of the story being, I'm not sure anymore...
I'm really enjoying FIFA 11, and if the first touch system in FIFA 13 works as advertised it would add plenty of individualism.
If only FIFA had classic teams like PES has. Man I would've loved to play with the greats in FIFA.
At this point I'm leaning towards FIFA 13, but I'll have to play both demos to decide.

Could have also included a "both" or "neither" option, but oh well.
As for which game, I played about 20 games of FIFA 12 then went back and played just a few games of PES 12, and the amount of variety I saw in PES blew FIFA out of the water. I truly do not understand the appeal of FIFA. Maybe it's because I strictly play offline versus the AI, I don't know, but until FIFA starts paying some attention to getting the AI down right I just can't see myself getting into that game. It's not horrible, it's just a bit bland and repetitive.

I think I'll buy PES specially they added many new things like first 'Dynamic Touch' , 'Player ID' , etc. and I saw the trailers and I think PES is best for me but the demo will decide it ...

The actually PES Games were good in 1vs1 matches, but the matches against the A.I. are horrible, so I hope the A.I. will become more realistic.

PES for me, although i usually end up with both.
As others have said, i play mainly offline and Master League is better than CM.
I've heard about the whistles and bells FIFA has added this year, but to be honest it's more needles stuff tacked on to a dull, repetitive heavy handed ai assisted game.
Pes2013. Dont like fifa gameplay. Bought fifa13 a month ago and returned it again. Just gets boring after playing it for a few weeks

Yeah neither probably, might check out the demos but I'll just go back to PES6 when it becomes apparent how wank they are.

I played PES 5 until PES 10 (on pc), but switched to fifa 11 and 12. I have yet to play the PES 2013 demo, but it looks very good. I don't really play online, so I am curious what the new Master League has to offer. Fifa 13's career mode looks amazing, though: http://fifasoccerblog.com/blog/fifa-13-career-mode-the-new-features/
At this point I am leaning towards fifa, but it is hard to decide before playing both demos.

I'll be getting fifa on the strength of the online Club matches and that's it basically. PES however does seem a lot better than the previous shit they released for the last 5 year so I might actually buy both.

Yes, Sony have addressed this. Despite though being able to copy multiple items with one click, it still takes time for it to couple thousands of components for a PES option file. I know because I did a few weeks back.

Yep, was always ridiculous that Sony hadn't addressed it sooner.
For the record, I'll be buying PES2013 - as long as they don't have a Roger Lemerre and balls up the 2nd demo.

Is hard to say till we get a Fifa demo.
How ever I have loved the last couple of Fifa's and Fifa 13 sounds pretty awesome especially the new Physic driven A.I.
How ever the PES 13 demo is pretty awesome too and I can't stop playing it.
So I think I may very well be getting both for the first time ever.

Was going to get fifa for clubs this year because I expected another PES2012 but if the full game is like the demo I can see myself playing a lot of master league/MLO.
