The only reason I have PS2 and the Gamecube right now, is because of the soccer games only. I had all consoles starting from Atari to Gamecube. I am a soccer maniac. I don't see other games intersting except for the Resident Evil series.

Championship Manager. All of them, except dot$ (CM4). Ever since 92/93. Easily the best series of games to grace any platform.

SWOS gave it a run for it's money, though. A great game of it's day, and, if I was any good at it - I'd still play today. There's not a better all-round footy game (i.e. detailed management with playing) around.

Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec, for the PS2, is another superb game. Absolutely top-drawer. The bench-mark for racing games, and possibly my favourite game on the PS2. Only play it in short bursts now, but there was a point when I was addicted. Compared to the other Gran Turismo's, it offers a lot more play-time, and is a bigger game in general. Decent array of tracks, and F1 cars. :D

Commandos was class in it's day, but I think when I bought Hidden & Dangerous, Commandos was surpassed by high-res graphics. H&D is just as hard as Commandos (which made this game so quality) but comes together with gorgeously rendered graphics, and superb historical accuracy, and playability. Brilliant game. Medal of Honour has nothing on Hidden & Dangerous.

Zyg mate... rogue squadron really rocks and is more friendly than X-Wing if you only played it on mouse and keyboard like me. Although X-Wing was cool!

I played X-Wing and Tie-Fighter using a joypad in conjunction with keyboard. Mouse was quite a slow and painful way to play it.

I played Rogue Squadron in a HMV and it looks amazing and plays great.

It looks like you can do everything from most of the scenes in the original trilogy. Looks ace.

G1 Jockey is quite fun when you get the hang of it, i rented out a copy of G1 Jockey 3 a couple of weeks ago but the disc would work on my PS2. It sounded well better than the first (can't say i've ever seen a copy of the 2nd one though...strange?!?!?) because horses would fall if the hit the fences hard and you could get stewards inquiries and stuff like that. But it didn't work...bastard!

At the moment I'm playing (and loving) Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven. Great game that makes MGS2 look like what it really is....a game that is made up of too many cut-scenes and stupid plot twists etc.

Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven is full on stealth/ninja gameplay at its very best. Recommended!!

WE6: fe isn't too shabby either!!

Does anyone else feel that the Pal market lacks anything really good at the moment?
