saw this at the first showing last nite at 5 past 12, god dammit i was fucked, but it was well worth it, its completely different to the first one as it isnt as all action, but is definately a 10/10 for me, as it ties up alot of the loose ends from the first one, and the seens with Pai Mai the warrior teacher are just legendary

is it true that no one dies in the first hour of the movie?

Can't wait to see it. Taking a day off 6th form tomorrow to see it. Read it's supposed to lean more towards Pulp Fiction then all out action like Volume 1.

I saw it yesterday to, its indeed a wonderful movie just as good as Vol. 1 and the seens with Pai Mai are indeed legendary. Also the end scene with Bill is really to good for words!! Classic....

Its the final part for now, but Tarantino wants to do a prequal of Bills life, in about 10 years though, also he's thinking of doing an animated version !

Has anyone got the Kill Bill volume 1 DVD? In the "making of" documentary you hear that the idea for Kill Bill was actually thought up while they were filming Pulp Fiction and that they were going to make the movie straight afterwards.

i read that its nowhere near as good as the first one. i loved vol. 1 so i hope what all you say is true and its just as good.

i didn't know S.L.Jackson was in it. thats cool.

well i personally prefer the 2nd volume... a lot less fighting and deaths, infact i think you only see 2 people actually die on screen... theres quite a lot of dialog as well between all the characters, usually one on one, which can drag on sometimes, but it all ties the story together well and makes for a very enjoyable movie.

kill bill vol 1 and 2 - 8/10

I was dissapointed with it. It wasn't like Pulp Fiction at all really, there was a lot of talking but not as catchy as Pulp Fiction. Also of the 3 people that die only one is killed by the Bride. I was hoping for more kick ass scenes like the House Of Blue Leaves. I guess there were some sweet bits, the fight with Elle Driver was good as was the training with Pei Mai.

Overall I'd call it strictly average.

No, the second was awful compared to the first. However, I will qualify that by saying that if you get the two DVD's out, and watch them one after the other (ie without the 6 month delay) then it would be alot better.

In fact, I think (plot aside for one moment), it would almost make more sense to watch vol2 first, as it develops the characters quite abit, and then watch the first one, where all the action is (Crazy 88's - need I say more).

But vol2 dragged on and on, was predicatble at best, and lacked any real humour (other than the most excellent fight between 'L' and 'B' in the caravan). vol1 was nonstopdon'tblinkoryou'llmisss omething. And flat out better.

Watched Volume one again today, so great. For all the talking up Hanzo swords got in Volume 2 bugger all happens with them, only in one does it really kick ass.

Oh well, katanas have now overtaken light sabres in coolness... gotta get me one.

Only until next summer my friend......

Got KBII on dvd, gonna watch it sometime soon, rated the first one as possibly the worst QT film i ever saw so i dont have very high hopes for this one. Glad to hear you all think its different to the first though.

Are there anymore abstract toe scenes in Vol 2.? That really almost put me off Vol. 1, but the following carnage made up for it!

i thought vol 2 was a complete contrast to vol 1 and tht helped alot, the fight scene with the crazy 88 in the first one dragged on a bit, similar to neo vs the agent smiths in the matrix reloaded. i saw the second one yesterday, im only 15 and i got in :D i enjoyed them both but they arent as gd as pulp fiction, although i never expected them to be, still gr8 films in my opinion, oh and also any1 notice that in the cat fight between elle and the bride, budd's body had miraculously disappeared :D

Nooooooo Don't compare the Crazy 88 fight with that shit from The Matrix. The Matrix had no payoff, no one really died, it just sucked. Crazy 88 fight was great, it has comic relief and showed how powerful The Bride and the Hanzo really is.

Also I seem to remember them jumping over Budd's body at one point in the fight... most of it happened at the other end of the trailer anyway.

oh, i didnt see that, how can u help but compare it to the matrix, she even does the thing with the sword that neo does with the pole, where she leans backwards and spins round

You shouldn't compare it because The Bride kicks ass and Neo just sucks. It's probably more comperable to Crouching Tiger anyways.
