Hi guys.
The Forum Dream Team League is something that has attracted a lot of attention and interest in other forums so I thought we could consider joining in next time it's played.
Bascially what happens is that everyone in the squad creates themselves in the PES/WE game universe and gives the player skills resembling themselves or what they would like to be like.
These players are put together on someones PS2 game and then a league is played between the forum teams and some club teams.
I'm guessing they will wait for WE7/PES3 to come out before they try it again, but let's see how much interest there would be in taking part.
The limits to the player are as follows:-
Maximum stats total of 1800 points.
Minimum for each skill has to be 30.
4 special skills gives you an injury rating 'A'.
5 special skills gives you an injury rating 'B'.
6 special skills gives you an injury rating 'C'.
And try to get a player appearance to resemble yourself as closely possible.
No made up heights for wannabe Kollers!
I realise that the player stats system for the new games may be
different so if we go by what the old rules were, we can build a decent base for our players.

I'm not sure why that was but I think if we are to create a team, we should do just that - a TEAM.

We can't have everyone building great strikers.
Someone will have to play in goal and in defence, even though it isn't so glamorous!
So let's see if there is any interest in this.

I'll probably play CentreBack with my secondary skill being CF (if we need a tall guy up in front the last 10 minutes :D, a shame this doesnt work well in pes2), or i can play goalie.
Think i have a height advantage against you and my jump/header has always been killer, so i might just notch up a few corner goals... unless some bastard on these boards is actually taller than me, and decides to play Centreback... :D

People should play where they would enjoy it and where it seems realistic.
You wouldn't ask Zidane to play right back, would you?
Of course, I'm not saying I'm anything like Zidane but that is my position.
7 assists in a real life match once!
It's a good idea about the kit design.
We may have to consider the kits of other teams though.
bluescouse, Photoshop is a great program with some nice options in it.
RESIZE being one of them!

bluescouse, I know this is an exciting topic but please try to stay calm and post a single reply instead of many smaller ones.
Don't worry about the height.
I don't think the centre back up for free kicks and corners depends on height. Usually for corners, 2 CBs are in there and they stand wherever they like.
Eg, I've scored about the same number of corner header goals by Ferdinand as I have with Campbell.
And maybe we should be thinking in terms of Centimeters not inches as that is how the game editing is set.
I'm in! I will play as an OMF, MF, CF please.

That was the biggest problem last time round, that 1 stat different in PES2 and the different special stats. So do have a think everyone and a play around but don't get finalising stats as we don't know the stats system as Zygalski mentioned.
Although it will probably be played on WE7 there will be an x-port release for PES3 if necessary. :)

I would play behind the strikers(OMF),if it is that sort of formation.If not CF,since I can kick with both feet accurately and with the same power.I would like #7.

Is anyone actually creating themself in the game with the rules above?
It would have been normal for someone to complain about the restrictions by now maybe?
Picking the stats best suited to the position as well as to you would be an advantage.
Eg, if you want to take free kicks, having a low FK accuracy would be quite pants.
Keeper, high response etc.

I am not this shit at shooting or dribbling, i just thought that
defenders dont get up to attack much so i toned him down a bit on his shooting so i would have more points available for the more defensive attributes.

Good job there, bluescouse.
The creation process can be made easier if you try to create yourself using MS Excel.
If you know how, you can make the skills values add up to give you a total value so you can tinker with it and not have to keep adding it up manually as it will do it for you.
If anyone has any problems with this, PM me and I can email you a version of the Excel file.
I'm not sure we need to post all our abilities just yet.
As long as you have them, that should be fine.

Finally, how does the playing bit work? Who decides who represents the team as the human player? Or is it set up as a CPU v CPU thing? Anyhow, gotta go now and do some stuff IRL!!! Like play PES2!!!

What happens for the teams is by control using the management option (the guy in the frame - AKA the John Travolta pic!).
Teams are picked and the CPU plays the matches.
So yes, it's CPU v CPU.
On the league site, there have been a few goals saved so you can see yourself scoring after being set up by one of your mates!
What's the unorthodox method?
Scanning a photo of the TV?
That's probably what I would do too.
Pictures of how we look aren't necessary at this point.
If you want to share the 'vision' you can share the appearance number values.
Remember that the new game will have options like eye colour and nose size etc.

Ok boys...I'll have a crack at this too!
I would like to wear #17 (would dearly love to wear #7 if whoever it is that has it would like to give it up, but I'm not too fussed), and play RMF/CF.
I've got quite a bit of pace and if I'm played wide enough and given enough space could do some damage with penetrating crosses or leading the breakaway counter-attack. I'm 183 cm tall so can give some assistance in air however I wouldn't say that this is a strength. My passing and ability to score are the strengths that I rely on in real life and both are enhanced by sheer pace, but my defensive game is also quite strong. I think that I could definitely add something to the team.
I hope that I can be included...this sounds very interesting.

My unorthodox thing is to use my DVD recorder and record footage of my created player. Then play on my PC and convert it to an AVI or MPG. Then I could post it here or whatever... a lot of effort but that's me only option at the mo!

I made an excel file which adds up your values for you.

I think direct play is better than outside but it is close.
Until WE7 comes out, you can change anything you like!
It may be worth using your created players registered to a national team to see how they play.
i already tested mine and i think he plays very sssssmmmmmoooooottttttthhhhhhh a real defender just like me!!!
I tested myself on the classic brazil team, i did pretty well, although i crunched maradona in the 78th minute, straight red (oops, lets hope its a one off eh)

For anyone who wants to keep it within reason, there are a few with C as they have real life old football injuries which they like to reflect in their player. It's all about the well balanced players not the supermen.
We might make it 6 skills but I'm not sure if that's "too" much for one player like, as most are the maximum amount and some players don't use all the points and skills they have at their disposal.

I have created my player but I still havent got round to going thru the xls and all that. Sorry. But he'll be CF, WG and OMF I guess. I have really focussed him as a CF with heading ability tho as I figured no one else would do that (and it's all about teamwork?) so he's more of a focal point for crosses etc. I hope no one thinks I'm being big-headed but I chose striker and that's what they do!
Also IRL CFs don't have much flexibility do they in terms of position?

Someone who doesn't know anything about tactics could have a teamwork of 99. That wouldn't leave us in a good position.
My player has good passing accuracy, for short and long.
For long distance Circle free kicks which are like crosses, do you think he needs a good FK accuracy to make it better or is FK accuracy only for shots?
I think we could add a little to spice up the flag.

I really hope that people haven't forgotten that I wanted in? I've finally done the stats although I didn't have time to check the little fella out. He is really quite an out and out CF I guess... and I have tried to concentrate a bit on things I thought that people wouldn't up front (like heading and PK kicks) and left the free kicks and stuff to others.

If there are only 2 CFs then that is cool... if there are 3 or more then I don't wanna cramp anyones style. But my guy is an out and out in the fashion of Shearer or RVN. Tried him out a little last night (ooh! I did stay up late!) and he is a doozy at heading on and scoring with his bonce. And he scored the first goal I have ever scored that scorched and hit the top right inside of the goal!!!! Usually I aim low and to a corner... but I only hit this 1/3 power and it was a screamer!!! Anyway, I guess I leave it to the manager?

Joey needs to rethink his stats aswell, not very quick for a left winger, loses the ball quite a bit. This is just my opinion from playing with these players.
I made Chilavert the Captain as his team work is 99. I got all the players for free and there salaries where around 270/280 for each player....i felt a bit greedy so i gave Bluescouse 900 points:D lol

If anyone deserves a pay rise it is Proevo3. I played a game before against Dinamo Kiev and i was 1-0 down. Proevo3 scores to make it 1-1 and thats how it finished.
Just finished another game there aginst Valencia in the first round of the Masters Cup. I was 1-0 up thanx to t406jaw but Valencia pulled it back late on. Then in the second half of extra time Proevo3 finds himself in acres of space down the right, cuts inside the box, one on one with the keeper and slots it home off the post for 2-1, Pesinsight progress to the second round of the cup...Proevo3 my new favourite player!!!

I had fiddle with myself yesterday. Ur right that I get caught up but my heading I thought was v useful. I was playing on hard in the 2nd div with Mpenza as partner. I will look at the stats again but what do people think? If I change my stats it is to enhance the team and not neccesarily my goal scoring. I also did 2 games with me in against World Elite on 5* and CPU vs CPU. 0-0 and 1-0 to us. I didn't really stand out but didn't do much wrong. So don't know... what do other people think?

I think maybe a slight increase in speed, dribble accuracy and all the shot stats would make you more deadly.

LFC 4EVA your stats are a little too high for this, a maximum of 1800 is required for your ability stats.
Plus try and make your GK better at things a Goalie would need such as Jump, Response, Defence things like that. Look at good keepers in the game to see what is at 90 above or any other stats that are high and put them all at 99 to make your keeper virtually unbeatable then you can play around with all the other attributes yourself. But make sure they all add up to 1800. And also give your Keeper some Special Abilities.
hey i create the whole team too! but i put the players in the arabic national team. I won 2-1 vs spain in 5* with 2 goal from Bonzo! I played in 3-4-3, the team is good!
now we have a GK : lc4eva! without chilavert, I could be the captain (if everybody agree), with my 99 in team work and a big mentality...
I liked to play with Zyg, you're so fast!
and i found abdulrazac great in DMF!!

If there is a shortage in any position, I can change my 3rd position from CF to SB or something. I think at a stretch I'd be more suited to SB than CB.
So guys, do you only play people in their preferred positions?
I always wanted to know how much worse they would play out of position. Does form come into more than position?
You may be interested to know that some people at tournaments don't care much about player positions or player form and manage to do quite well.
Anyway, if my player is not on good form, I think it would be better to play someone on better form as OMF and maybe stick mini-Zyg as SB, well- it's better than being benched...
I think the form is more imortant

i dont have a preffered position. im either cm or cf. i see what you mean about not being on form. but you sed about being in sb but your stats make you an attacking player and you play in offensive mid. would you change your stats or do you have 2 or more players?
