don't no if this info has already been posted on here before, but anyway..... did a search to see any info on we8 went to a webpage in italian with a small passage on it. my friend translated it for me. not sure were the source is from that the webpage got it from. it went something like this: full and rich with new features. difference will be clearer between red and yelow card tackles. free kicks and penalties will be improved. new dribbling and personalised actions and moves (it says) like the figo spinning an player or the "pittoresc"- scorpion sting kick from higuita. the possibilty of monting your barrier when facing an oppisition free kick (!?!?!??!). new formation possibilities, like the 100 meters corridor for shevchenko, roberto carlos or henry. the possibility to choose how to celebrate a goal and the unlimited number of players online at any given time. as i said this may or may not have been posted before let me no

slasher_mcg, I think the stuff you're quoting was from that April Fools prank pages by that French magazine.
Edit:- larsson, yeah some kind of weirdly selective dyslexia for me there. I always read it with a 'g' for some reason. Maybe I'm just used to knowing him as Sugapuffy as no-one corrected me earlier (than the last time you did).

The first lot of info sounds really good though, i'm assuming the majority of it will find its way into pes4? loads more teams would be wicked.
editable league names? guess this means they haven't got individual league licenses. still cool though.
138 Clubs - superb! :)
Could it mean we ses some leagues? I mean if they inlcluded the english, spanish, italian, french and german premier leagues in full, that would only be 96 clubs. Could this be the case, and if so the remaining 42 could be the best of the rest from around europe and the world? Fingers crossed.
More nationals would be welcome too, like Latvia for Euro 2004.

yep.. that sounds awesome.. i hope PES4 is similar especially the licenses, number of teams.. and that free kick option sounds awesome! i hope that the keeper will fall for the dummy kicker otherwise it is just and asthetic thing otherwise...

they need to make the kit editior more extensive, i just rented TIF2004 and the amount of kits you can choose from is amazing. you don't have to choose a whole shirt you can edit the collar,sleeves etc. thats what pes needs.
the increase in teams gets me more excited everytime i read it.

I remember the first info on winnin eleven 7 wasnt very much but as time went on more info came through so hopefully more betta info will come through later.

wot are the new features era we going to see in we8 and pes4. are there going 2b proper leagues such has premiership italian league and so on. none of this european south west north eastern leagues.its not bad having mixed leagues but it would be better if we had english dutch and italian leagues and so on.and then meet the other teams in europe such as champions league and the eufa cup.because in pes3 u seem to have same teams out of ur league in ur group stages in the champions league.
You know as much as we do mate, but yeah I hope we have proper leagues etc. in WE8/PES4...

I doubt they'll get the licences to include proper leagues but like Zyg says you can edit league names. I think that is as close as PES4 will get to proper leagues.
It does look very promising though, especially as there will be more than double the amount of club teams that were on PES3

In an interview with the creator - i heard that WE8/PES4 aims to have 80% of the team licenses. If there is minimum 200 Club teams, then that would make it at least 160 licensed clubs.

I was under the impression that there would be around 140 club teams...

PES3 is so flawed! The rubbish player movement, the crap goalkeepers, the horrendous first touches and handballs!?
I don't care about teams, just make it more like ISSPE2!
I played PES2 today and realised how poor especially the player movement is in PES3.
And PES4 must be much more difficult.
Thatīs an info about WE8, not PES4. Gameplay in WE and PES is different, especially when you compare WE7:IJ with PES3, itīs a complete different game.

the European version always is not as good as the Japanese one, for some reason which only Nokami knows. I would be happy if WE8/PES4 had the same gameplay like WE7:I, with a few improvements of course, thereīs always something you can improve, eg make the passes slower, the keepers a bit better, especially at crosses

Well, from all the snippets of info, and from the gradual improvements the WE/PES series has seen over the last few years, it must be said that Konami do seem to listen to their fans, and I only expect great things from them with PES4/WE8.
No handballs and better 'keepers anyway :)

This is certainly great news. More than double the number of club teams. Lets hope to see some South American Teams. Without them the game is just not complete. If the Club teams have taken 138teams, it would mean that there will only be slight increase in National teams. It would be great if they have the same number of national teams as This is Football/World Soccer Tour. I know, I know it is impossible to satisfy everyone.
i prefer playing with club teams rather than national teams. When will there be an announcement to say what new club teams etc are in the game?

WE8 should be ALOOT better than WE7I-J or any WE game so far. With LOTS of improvements, from graphics to gameplay, more licensed teams etc.. I feel like Konami won`t suprise us this year. They added a ref. on the pitch, not something to brag about.

As long as there is an option file put together soon after release, come August 5th I will be a happy man.
But why didn't konami put a single screen of we8? Isn't it a lil weird? I mean there is less than three months left till the game is released. And noone has any single idea regarding what the game looks like.
Good point Ceysin, ive been thinking that was strange for a while now. I mean take Gran Turismo 4 and Driver 3 for example, screenshots and good details of these games have been available since the end of last year and they are only just now coming up for release.

Cos they dont wanna reveal too much, as those spys from EA will try to get anything konami put out...so i think its best as to drop little bits of info here and there....but not to go shooting off about their innovations and stuff...hopefully, they'll pull it off better in the licensing and presentation department, and really give EA something to think about.

Good point. But, the only thing FIFA would like to steal from Konami is the gameplay, as they have everything else - top class licensing, leagues, commentary, graphics and sound. PES4 needs all of the above to compete with FIFA. Giving us a few screenshots wont give much away, if it shows fully licensed teams, leagues and stadiums - so what? FIFA has this already. Konami can't give too much away about the gamplay with a few screenshots.
Every FIFA employee owns and prefers WE/PES.
They play it as obsessively as we do, and know exactly what their product is lacking.

I dont know why everyone thinks fifa commentary is so great.
OK, so its betta than pes commentary but ti is incrediably boring.
John Motson saying the same things every single year, he has such a boring voice. And then ther is ally mcoist, an even more annoyin voice.
The only good thing about fifa is the leagues and the fact they have all club teams.
They have licensed kits, but the names numbers on the shirts loook like they have been cut out of a bit of paper and stuck on with glue. :rolleyes:
