Some advice on vollying !!!

Can some one please advise me, how do i get my player to volly the ball in stead of heading it when a cross comes in to the far post, i try and time it so my player runs on to the ball but when i press shoot he either attempts to header the ball and it just falls in to keepers arms or he jumps and handball is given, what technique do i need to use to get my player to volly to ball when it drops over the defender ?????

press sqaure a little later. Or try to move into position while the ball is on the air using R2.

yeah, best to press R1 and R2 together moving into position early. Not easy to do since the com will try to intercept using a players head from a cross

Use R2 to get into position, then as the ball arrives try to 'lean back' as you shoot by pulling the left stick (or d-pad) away from the ball.

Doesn't always work though.

vollying depends on where the ball is in relation to you're player, if its at hip level he will smash it with a volly

so you could try chesting it down, waiting for the bounce and unleash a volly, only do it if you have time though
