If it were me...I would have wiped the HD and reinstalled the old Matrix O/S! It is pants!

Its good, but it starts getting all too complicated to understand towards the end, which i kinda expected. Good film though.

i thought the fight scenes were good until they dragged on soo long u just got bored of watchin the same thing over and over!

Both of you are right. It went up its arse and then some. And the fights scenes became really boring. They didn't do anything new as such.

It's utter bollocks. Fight scenes were good but even then there were far too many. I walked out the cinema and couldnt remember one chuffin thing about it. Such an overdone film and instantly forgettable.

it sucked more balls than an acme ballsucker 5000 turbo on speed.

I'm guesssing Daniel didn't like it then?

rebusrahman

There is a distinct possibility that Daniel thought it was the bag o' shite I thought it was!

Overall I think it was an enjoyable film, but throughout the film its head was disappearing up it's own arse, I think the only people who knew what was going on is the geeky directors. 7/10

i would say it was an ok film and worth watching however it was a dissapointment as the first matrix was such a good film.
However i think the special effects in re-loaded were brill and i am looking forward to matrix revolution

rebusrahman

robertstrode, you would seriously give it 7/10? I think that's very generous. And I think the CG wasn't great cos it was so obvious. Only the bullet time was good but we saw that in the Matrix?

You only say that because it's been done to death in shite films that use it for anything *cough*Charlie's Angels*cough*.

rebusrahman

Not true. Bullet time was a breakthru for the matrix. So naturally I would expect something ground-breaking again for number 2. Irrespective of all the copying I wouldn't want the Wachowskis to rest on their laurels. And the CG was still obvious in fight scenes...

It's good, but I was dissapointed, maybe it should have more new ideas... I hope "The Matrix Revolutions" will be better.

Um...maybe...it'll be a revolution?

i liked the film. to be fair it does has some excellent scenes, the chase and the fight on the staircase etc.

but if they tightened up the plot a bit it could have been better.

(oh and that dance scene in zion made me cringe, just why did they keep that in!!!!)

People who don't like the film tend to be those who don't understand it. It's really not that hard to follow if you watch it again and you know a little about how a computer program works.

The difference between the two films is simply how they work on different levels. i.e. The original Matrix could be viewed by someone who had no idea about computers and still be enjoyed due to its groundbreaking special effects and stunning action scenes, and a lack of any real thorough dialogue situations.
However, it could also be watched from a philosophical and understanding level, there was much to be read into the first film that most people missed out on due to there inability to see past the swirling cameras and kung fu kicks.

The matrix reloaded was a stunning insight into the minds of the Wachowski's, it showed there political and philosophical views, which are very similar to my own, thats possibly why i can relate to the film so much. And really, what was wrong with the dancing scene, it showed the real human nature for me, its an excellent scene if you break it down properly.

Anywayz, i'm not trying to suggest you guys aren't clever enough to get the film or anything, i'm just saying give it a chance, and try watching it again and really following it, don't be blinded by CGI and trenchcoats!

Westovski? Are you joking? I understood the film perfectly the first for the load of tosh that it is. And before you say well you might not get everything... I work in IT as a helpdesk consultant and spend all day looking at programs and crap like that so I might have some idea about computers?

The Matrix was a perfectly excellent slice of sci-fi film noir. Because the FX drove the plot and that was paramount. Reloaded is more of a spectacle and not that great at that. It doesn't matter how much Nietzsche, Sartre or whatever the Wachowskis have read if the film is rubbish, it's rubbish.

Take the dance scene... I have to agree that it was very cringeworthy. Man, if I deconstructed Sister Act 2 I could argue it was a relevant critique on ecclesiastical ethics? And all that scripting with the Merovingian and the Architect. Give me a dictionary, MS Word with a good thesaurus and half an hour and I could come up with that.

And I have watched the film 3 times and it is only slightly better then the first bumnumbing time.

If The Matrix is a haiku then Reloaded is dogpoo!

Film Noir?

Are you sure you know what that term actually means? As you've used it in a very strange situation/context.

To be honest, i respect your opinion, and each to there own, i was just making sure you weren't being a little 'premature' in your assumptions, which, according to what you said, you weren't.

Fair enough. ;)

BRILLIANT FILM!

Just saw Revolutions Wednesday night, I am absolutely blown away by it all.

I do agree, you have to watch it a few times, but I can't think of a better film that has come out this year than the two matrix sequels.

Even Terminator 3 was a load of cheesy pants, THE ELTON JOHN SUNGLASSES! WHY!

Anyways, in 20 years time we will all look back and still wonder how most of the special effects was done in The Matrix, as the technology they have used in the latter 2 is as good as it gets, it doesn't get any better than that.

Hugo Weaving should get an Oscar for his Agent Smith role too!

BIG UP THE SMITH!

Anyways, see ya.

Alex.

Those two sequels from the hit Matrix were pure crap. Seen revolutions today, and just hated really bad. Pointless pile of action wraped in a complex wannabe plot. Loved the original, but really hated these. Must admit, T3 is worse. Nevertheless, all pure crap. Thank God we still have the Return of the King.

NE1 seen Revolutions yet. I thought that was excellent considering its seriously flawed storyline. Good ending though!

i thought reloaded was better than revolutions.

there was no major spectacular scenes that outshone reloaded.

the attack on zion is impressive but didnt out do the freeway chase and the brawl with smith was really poor compared to the multi fight in loaded.

i wanted to see more of sarif, ive heard the guy who plays him is one of the best martial artists in the world.

both films were ok but nothing special, some scenes were very pretentious and unnecessary but when the action gets going it does hit the spot. both still better than that star wars debacle.

To be honest, i was dissapointed. But what do you think?

I have to agree with you, especially the end was very bad, but the action parts were really action parts if you know what i mean.

I haven't seen the last part yet, so if you let me know if it's even worse please tell me so I don't have to watch it

I was extremely disappointed... infact i wanted my money back... all it was, was fight scenes.. 35 minute fight scene... now come on... that is over the top... and the sex scene... WTF?? trinity isn't even as hot as she used to be.. she is too muscley... it was a complete schamozel.... they should have just called it :

Matrix: Not as good as the first, but you will come and see it anyway, because it is matrix movie and they use bullet time... and for fun try to see if you can find a story line in this film.. we couldn't... but try anyway and if you do... plz let us know what it is about...

The Ending was terrible. S'all I can say. I have never been so disappointed in anything in my entire life. Except when Newcastle didn't win the League or one of those two FA Cups, but still, this was heart-breaking.

How could something THAT good become so bad?

it wasn't that bad, disappointing maybe but not as bad as people make out.
