Very unfortunate. I saw it when he collapsed and fell on the pitch. I ccannot believe this happened. My blessings go out to him and his family. Let him rest in peace!

RIP Marc-Vivien Foe. Tragic Loss.

Just shows how short life can be, no matter how fit and healthy you are:(

It's tragic. I actually met him berfore a few years ago on holiday in France when he was with Lyon. He was such a great guy and he made time for photos and autographs and encouraged other Lyon players who were there to do the same. A great loss.

RIP Marc
A great player and respected worldwide. Disgusting to see what the Sun has done

What did the Sun do, Craiiig? I was out on "big night" and only saw the headline on someone else's paper this morning on me way home. Really sad. Great that Henry dedicated the first goal in their 3-2 win to him.

RIP Marc-Vivien Foe.

I would have thought all the goals could have been dedicated to him. Who else could they be for?

Sorry to explain... Henry scored the first goal for France and personally dedicated it to Foé. The whole France team apparently pointed to the sky instead of the usual celebration. Very fitting, I think.

Yeah, I know what they did.
But why did they make the point to dedicate just that first one and not all of them? They wouldn't have to do the same celebration, just say something about it after the match?

Rebushrahman- the sun's front page has got a close up picture of Foe's face as he is just about to die and many have said they have used tools to make the picture look even worse. As they have zoomed in and made it bigger

R.I.P Marc Vivien Foe

Has anyone seen the actual footage when he collapses. It was on Sky Sports News this morning, it was shocking and i can't believe they actually put it on air.

They showed it on C5 at half time of the France - Turkey match last night.
The view was from a distance.
I didn't see much wrong with them showing it then.
They were letting people know what happened and were respectful.

How did Sky do it?

Was he pronounced dead when they showed the footage?

On sky sports news it was from a distance and they had him ringed and the rest of the picture was darkened so all that you see was him collapsing. The thing i didn't like was that you knew that he died there and then and that it was on in the morning.

Yes they knew he had died.
I only found out myself at half time of the France match when they told us and showed it.
The French players crying before the match shows they were told before then.
I don't know when the first announcement to the public was.
