UPDATE: The stock is in! (see picture left)
If you have been tracking the stock status on ShopTo.net you may have noticed that Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 is now listed as in stock. We just received an updated statement direct from ShopTo.net…
ShopTo are pleased to announce that all pre-orders for Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 (On All Formats) will start despatching tomorrow.
We have a team that have agreed to stay in the warehouse tonight until midnight to make sure that we can pack and prepare as many orders as possible and we will also be coming in early tomorrow should any orders not be processed today all in preparation to start despatching orders tomorrow.
All pre-orders will be charged today at the prices promised and new orders (price subject to discussion) should be back on tomorrow.
What this means is anyone who ordered the game prior to today should have their copy dispatched tomorrow for a Thursday or Friday delivery.

From what I have been reading on the forum and here on the blog comments, many of you seem keen on the idea of buying option files from untrusted sources on eBay. Considering the guys selling them will most likely just be stealing the work of the PES fan sites and that you will be able to download the option files for FREE later in the week, you are wasting your money.
For years eBay sellers have plagued the Pro Evo scene by selling other peoples work as there own. Last year we tried to combat it by offering gamers who did not own a Max Drive (something you needed on the PS2 to get option files) the opportunity to get updates at a more reasonable price from us. This year you don’t need to do that as option files should be transferable without the need for a Max Drive or similar device.
You can get your editing and option file queries answered over in our new PES 2008 Editing area.

Despite what some of you may be getting told by Play.com staff, you can rest assured you will have the game by Friday. We have contact with people further up the chain than you will be able to get through to on the helplines and we have been informed that games will be dispatched in good time to arrive for Friday. Some orders have been dispatched today!

Gamespot have one last hands-on report of Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 before they review the game later in the week.
Player likenesses are almost spot on, displaying some convincing facial animations throughout. The stadiums and pitches themselves are now also looking nicely detailed, with plenty of advertising boards and team-specific crowd signs adorning the stadiums. Pro Evo 2008 is still lacking some of those extra touches that its main competitor FIFA 08 has (such as player sweat as matches progress), but it’s certainly the best-looking Pro Evo so far. That said, actual player animations in Pro Evo are–as usual–top-notch. Players run, shoot, pass, change direction, fall, and even bump into other players in a way which is quite convincing to watch.

We have received word from Play that they will be shipping the game on Monday to those gamers who pre-ordered early enough… meaning you should have the game hopefully by Wednesday. Anyone who orders now can still expect the game before Friday, as they will be attempting to get all orders to customers by Thursday. They are shipping the game an extra 2 days early than normal to account for the Royal Mail strikes over the past few weeks, but generally speaking the backlogs have now been cleared so you should expect it a lot sooner than Friday if ordering with Play.
See the article below for links to each of the games at Play.
