The people who say they have a copy are either lying or they are being tight. ive tried blockbusters and 2 games in leeds so anybody got a copy in leeds tel me so we can all play the best game in the universe.
I went into the local town today and went into GAME, Gamestation, Asda, HMV and none are selling early.

Yeah sure. Shop owners will be STUNNED by HIGHLY INTELLIGENT lies like “the stores are also selling the game”. Some will be so SHOCKED they will give you the game FOR FREE.
They will NOT ask you which shops are selling the game.
That’s because they are NOT interesting in calling Konami, blackening their competitor. (by the way, in case you didn’t know: in the past Konami have sued one the big chains for selling early.)
And of course, they will NOT ask you the obvious question why you chose to go through the hassle of talking them into selling early even though you could have already bought it from “the other shop”, sitting at home playing PES 2008.
Fot the dutch: I called: Free record shop, Dimension Plus, Bart Smit, Intertoys, Music Store and Media Markt. They don`t got the game at the moment. But i will have it tomorrow :)

maybe if anyone has a pre-order with game or asda or a shop near by, ring them and say you want to cancel the pre-order and if they ask why try saying that somewhere else is selling it now and your going go there and they might be willing to sell now, my mate did that will pes5 and it worked, at game as well!!!!

Just tried the Derby Game for a laugh. Apparently I’m the fourth person to have called saying asda are selling it!!!

The game will not be available until its widely available.
Best way of checkign whether it is out or not is to have a look for it on Newsgroups. If it is listed there, (which it will be within a few hours of the game being available), then it is out. If it is not….then it probably isn’t.
Or alternatively, you can get yourself along to Asda’s at midnight.
Also, I heard that Game are opening between 5am-6am tomorrow morning so they can sell PES2008 on the sly without anyone finding out. So, now you all know where to get it.

People on here are just talking rubbish, why would both Asda and GAME sell pro evo 2008 at random times when its not supposed to be out until next fri. They won’t sell early unless there is proof that the game has been sold elsewhere, both Asda and GAME don’t have any copies in either!

If play start selling one of the most popular titles around before anyone else then they own 100% of the market until everyone else catches on. Play.com is sayin its in stock but its saturday tommorow which is the weekend. its gonna be dispatched within 24 hours so there gona dispatch it on on monday.(because there only counting work days not, the weekend.) the terms and conditions on delivery say it takes 3-5 days to come.
so 3 days frowm monday will be wednesday and 5 days from monday is friday which is there 26th (the official day of release)so is you order from play you will still end up getting it on the day of release. or if your lucky a day or two before release.

Most people who say they have the game are chatting ****. Most places dont even have it in stock yet and wont do til wednesday. Dont waste your time trying to find a place that sells it. We will all get the game by friday at the latest and some will get it earlier. I got my hopes on thursday.

i have the game honestly true, i bought it yesterday at Bart Smit in Dordrecht ( Netherlands ), i felt quite special, and today i was walking around in Rotterdam and there it was for every single platform in almost every shop ( Free Record Shop, E-plaza etc etc ).
I have to get used to the new game,i have the ps3 version and in replays the framerate ****s up !!!!!DAMNNNN irritating, i realy hope someone of something is gonna fix this. Also the edditing option is strange, i cannot load pictures it keep saying “no data saved “, but ther are pictures on my HDD ????
But nevertheless it stays PES, so undoubtly after a few weeks and a some things sorted out i will be delerious again.

i got the game this morning from asda in farnborough, 29.99 on xbox 360
quality so far although the online servers arent quite sorted but its understandable seen its not release date, the non0licensed british teams look like a joke but there is an edit mode, dive button is a right giggle!!

Hi, I’m going to try Blockbusters tomorrow. I called up last week asking if they were releasing early, but didn’t tell them my details. I have one on pre-order and I’ll probably ask them if they’re selling it early again, when I go in tomorrow. If they say no I will probably put on the heat by telling them to cancel it, and my mates, so I can get mine early from Play.com.

I have made my third trip to GAME, Gamestation, Asda, HMV in as many days and nothing. Game and Gamestation also both said they wont break the date unless one of supermarkets did as they would get a £10′000 fine!!

I got the game yesterday here in Portugal for Ps2 (by inlegal ways)while im waiting for the release for Ps3.All i can say is that im a little disapointed with the Game for PS2 and hoping that for PS3 will be diferent. The editing is poor you don´t have the premiership official numbers, you can´t edit boots. No adidas boots, you just can change colours. The gameplay is very nice, but i haven´t seen the possibility to chose players in set pieces like i read we could, havent been able to grab shirts or dive for a penalty. So i hope the game will be diferent for PS3 or whe won´t see many things that have been said in the past few weeks.
My advice is see if the game is better in PS3 because if you tought the main diference from Ps2 and Ps3 where only the grafics i hope its wrong. And that on Ps3 is a hole new Game.

Btw, my view on the game: Same addicting fun gameplay but minimum new stuff.

Got a copy in my hands right now on train home…got it from whsmiths in harrow on the hill with the old “do you have pro evolution soccer 2008 i couldnt see it on the shelf” dappiest cashier ever knew she wouldnt know the release date….hope that info is helpful to some1 cant wait to get home and play it myself

Just got it in Luton in the shop near HSBC (cant give it away as he has been my early source for years now). The guy has about 8 copies left and he sold it for £40.00 which I thought was pretty decent.

The game shop in the Merrion Centre in Leeds has the game in stock, but wouldn’t sell it to my friend yesterday… you may have more luck if you can be persuasive.
Listen guys i asked in Virgin yesterday and he said he has heard that the game has been released early. Once they get confirmation they will release today! can someone ring them to see if anyone has it on the shelves? im at friggin work!!
I also called Virgin Megastores in Bluewater (Kent) and the guy said that he heard that some places were selling it early and until the release is broken by another company Virgin wouldn’t put it out until the release date of the 26th !!!!
Guess we will have to wait until the end fella’s !!!

so whats all this crap about slowdowns that seems a bit weird, i get it playing pro evo 6 on my ps3 in the 1st 5 seconds then it adjusts itself, is it really that bad?
does it make a differnece if you have hd tv?
yeah i get it on pro evo 6 on the ps3. ive played 360 demo of pes and it is incredibly good. screw everyone who sez it sucks. ps3 is supposed to be better cus sony invested in konami to get the better version.
i have read the ign review and what they have said - Of course, some players will think that a drop in frame-rate on a machine as powerful as PS3 is an absolute travesty and, in some respects, they’d be right. But if a flaw as incidental as this prevented said players from buying PES 2008 altogether, they’d be missing out on the most realistic, intelligent and enjoyable football experience on console yet.

Joe the best thing to do matey is to get over to a Virgin Megastore or Game that open late and you’ll find that they put them on the shelf the night before ie tonight already for the morning shopper.
I’ve done this the past few years at Bluewater and it always pays off !!
