Option Files… Don’t buy on eBay!

From what I have been reading on the forum and here on the blog comments, many of you seem keen on the idea of buying option files from untrusted sources on eBay. Considering the guys selling them will most likely just be stealing the work of the PES fan sites and that you will be able to download the option files for FREE later in the week, you are wasting your money.
For years eBay sellers have plagued the Pro Evo scene by selling other peoples work as there own. Last year we tried to combat it by offering gamers who did not own a Max Drive (something you needed on the PS2 to get option files) the opportunity to get updates at a more reasonable price from us. This year you don’t need to do that as option files should be transferable without the need for a Max Drive or similar device.

PS2 files will be available at the same time… shortly after or even on release day. For PS2 you will need a max drive to transfer. We will be offering our transfer service like we did for PES6 but not until our own file is complete to a high standard which may be several weeks.
Peter i have the a transfer kit for my xbox 360. im asuming this will be needed to upload the option file there too??
I agree with the above, i got impatient with PES 6 and purchased an option file from ebay last year at a cost of £9.99, and whilst it was ok, the free one i got from “another” website later that month was 10x better, and i was really annoyed i’d paid for a lower quality one previously.
Also, it’s a bit stupid you guys saying “Don’t buy the option file off ebay” and then advertising the bloody things just below the article.

There are loads of sights mate, but not all of them do the fully licenced versions, for obvious reasons.
Google search it, as i don’t want to run the risk of being banned from this site for talking about licenced options files etc (like PESfan do!)

Guys, you won’t get banned for discussing Option Files, it’s all good!
As for the advertisements, they are operated by Google Adsense and unfortunatley I can’t control the content (but they are necessary to cover the server costs).
Just to clarifty… Option files will be available for FREE on the web. You should not buy from eBay unless you want a lower quality file and potentially get ripped off.
You might find it easier to discuss these things on the forum (link in first post).

Pesfan.com do a very comprehensive and profesional option file, but due to being threatened with legal action last year by EA games (i shit you not) they no longer allow premiership related material at all.
Evo-web have an upload / download option for people sharing their own option files, and includes some of the same standards as PESfan, but offer fully licenced kits etc - this is what i used for PES6 and was very very happy with it!
New to me are winning eleven next gen blog (google that) who are claiming they will release a fully licenced option file before friday’s release date.
All OF’s will be transferrable from PC to PS3 via a USB flash drive (nice and cheap from play.com or ebuyer)
And i have had mine pre-ordered for 4 months through game’s online site, having redeemed gamecard points and also using a cashback website my final total for PES2008 was £25.

I remember seeing my WSAG Evolution PES5 option files being sold on eBay…..with my description of the file and everything! What gets me is the thick idiots who go on there and buy them when they could of simply have downloaded them off pesgaming for free from the links i uploaded for them.
That said, i soon quit making option files after that as too many clowns were stealing mine and other peoples work to sell off as their own.
