PS3 option file by WEMerica and DJpelle

The first ‘decent’ PS3 option file has landed, courtesy of WEMerica and DJpelle. The file includes:
- Updated transfers
- Updated kits
- Replica kits for Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpol and Manchester United
- All names including stadiums, cups and teams changed
- Updated team line ups and formations
- The missing Bundesliga teams added
Rating: 
This file will overwrite any cup or league records you may have. It only works offline.
First you need a usb memory stick or a PS3 compatible memory card
Unzip (VERY IMPORTANT - use WinRar) the rar file on the desktop
Take the PS3 folder and put it onto the usb key
Put the usb key in the PS3
Then go in save data games and usb data then copy the edited game data one by one from the usb key to your PS3 hard drive
does this effect master league stuff?
so is this the option file that everyone has been waiting for ????
to anyone who has downloaded it, is it worth doin it or should we wait for a different one? how do the kits look?
I just have one question: every time when i enter the game it asks me on what level do i want to play! every single time. everything i change in the game i must save and then load every freakin time! Is there no autosave?

Ive heard that you can only import 8 skins. Meaning you can only edit a few teams precisely. The rest are thru the editor. This is what Ive heard.
Ive put it on usb, under ‘PS3′ folder then ‘SAVEDATA’ folder, but nothin is happin!!!
ive only just got a ps3 so im not quite sure how all this works. How exactly am i meant to get this to work? I have got the data in a folder called PS3 on my USB stick, now what do i do?
Put USB stick in the PC.
Create a folder on it called PS3
In PS3 Create another folder called SAVEDATA
Extract zip file into SAVEDATA.
Put USB into PS3
ON ps3 menu to to Game-Saved data utility - usb device
Press triangle on each item and go to copy.
yey, done it. 2nd question - I have taken some photos with a digital camera of some faces and want to put them into the game - but it appears i cant. Whether i try to ‘load’ them or ‘create from scratch’ or whatever - do i have to use a silly little sony eye toy?

Emblems look good, does anyone have the RGB colour values to match them perfectly to the rest of the kit though, they’re not far off.

does this have the updated kits for all teams or just the top 4?
oi badman wen u open savedata folder, it shud show the 11 folders there. if u have ‘PS3_PES2008_Optionfile_V1a’ folder in savedata, copy all 11 folders from that folder and paste them striaght into savedata. the ps3 must be able to access the 11 folders via savedata only, not savedata and then via PS3_PES2008_Optionfile_V1a folder

I have done everything I go to saved data utility in the game section of the homepage and there is no usb device option? Any ideas im just using like a usb pen and plugging it into the ports at front where u charge controllers.

this is the the same as the others. NO bundesliga teams.would not recomend i would wait a couple of weeks for a ‘decent’ file

im not interested in bundesliga im not german, does it have the kits for every team in prem league yes or not
u can only have 4 teams kits fully done so obviously it doesnt have the full prem league
ive seen a few option files on ebay that look like they have every kit for every club
im not german but would like to have the option of playing with a few different teams. its updated the kits but only ‘big4′ replica kits.the other teams still look good

This file is a load of shit! sorted out top 4 teams and thats it!
every1 might aswell jus w8 4 the WENB option file tht would be full and complete with all teams n badges etc.
if u want to unzip the .RAR file download a software called winrar to unzip it
thats all you can sort out, the rest is all down to peoples editing skills!, download a program called ‘winrar’ n use that to extract the files!! give me a pm if anybody needs ne help!

the WENB option file only has the replica kit for the top 4 teams aswell the other teams are just them trying to make it look as real as possible so this file isnt as bad as u fink

There are some right muppets in this world who can’t follow simple instructions. Download was dead easy to do, Kits don’t look bad, Hoping there will be a better one soon with possibly more kits if that can be done.

forgive me if i am outdated… but i would like to ask if the ps3 version is as worse as PC’s?? and does it worth a 9.2 rating??
works fine, looks pretty good, and even fairly easy to transfer over. Shame about only four teams but i’m sure there might be more to come in time…
does it have the sort of lag that pc version suffers severely?

This is the my first PES game so Im new at PES. Still havent scored a goal :D
I have followed every step up until accessing the flush drive info in the saved data utility. I pressed the trangle but it states free space I can`t access infor on the flush drive, but I have managed to open the 11 folders on the phots`s side which doesnot help me at all. Is anyone intelligent enough to sort my problem out.
First off, I have to say I really appreciate the effort being put into this file, thanx! Now, my expactations might have been a bit high, but I really think the kits look shabby. It seems the loaded pic have been streched to far to fit on within the graphics, making the logo and sponsor all blurry. Also, the color isn’t sync’ed either. Starting a game, you can see the difference in the colors on the jersey. Requires a bit of tweaking in that sense. It all depends on what camera angle you’re using, some angles are so far out that a user won’t notice. Great job on the german teams though! I’d download this, and use it while you wait for something better.
@ dergee81; have you placed the 11 folders under PS3\SAVEDATA on the flashdrive? You should format your flashdrive (FAT32), and create a folder called PS3. In the PS3 folder, you should create another folder called SAVEDATA. After extracting the 11 folders (BLE00110xxxx etc..) on to your PC, you must copy these 11 folders into the SAVEDATA folder on the flashdrive. You should be able to see the files after this.
Haven’t downloaded this OF yet but have mccroix’s. Whoever keeps saying you can only have four edited kits is wrong, you can have 8 edited kits but must choose only to use one kit per team ie either the first kit or away kit per team, if you use both then you will only have real kits for 4 teams - personally I use 8 teams with there first strip. Anyone know if these kits are better than mccroix ones? Also people getting curropt errors are not extracting files properly to a folder called SAVEDATA on the USB stick - this needs then to be copied from the stick to your PS3’s hard drive over any existing files - double check your doing it correctly people or it won’t work.

READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!!
Put USB stick in the PC.
Create a folder on the usb stick called PS3
In PS3 Create another folder called SAVEDATA
Extract zip file into SAVEDATA. (Those that say its corrupt, this is because another folder comes up in SAVEDATA)
Make sure the usb has PS3>SAVEDATA>this folder will have all the extracted files in.
Put USB into PS3
ON ps3 menu to to Game-Saved data utility and select the usb device
Press triangle on each item and go to copy.

Also why are some of you moaning about lack of kits or what it has? Can you not read??? Again, it clearly states whats on the option file, like it or leave it! Dry your fucking eyes if you dont like it, build a bridge and get over it. Shit!

@nielberg thanks a lot mate , but I have already done exacly wat you said, but I still can`t see the 11 folders under saved game utility they are all available under photo`s and I can actually view the 8 kits,Oliver Kahn`s face and another proevo folder. I think there is something wrong with the Ps3 is there helpline number for Ps3 that you guys can give me.

Just downloaded this and its great. Real pitty it can only be for 8 kits. To those people who cant get it to work…………OMG u thick pricks its so easy its untrue!!!!! Read the instructions and follow them. If ya cant do it then sell ya PS3 and go jump off a cliff!!!!!!

I trying a copy, but it not worked. I press ”Game-Saved data utility” then memory usb stick and i press triangle then ”Information”. I don’t get it… I understand instruction but it’s not reading copy, only ”information”. :/

Suntti and any others, your usb stick may not be compatible with PS3. I use a sony usb stick so have no problems. Either that or you people are being stupid!!!!
Nice option file, goood kits, i would have to say the man utd kits are the worst, they are a bit 2 one side. a little hint; dont copy the system daten (system data) as it will overrite evrything. and oh yeah why chelsea london fc and arsenal north london fc? take out the london bit m8. GREAT FILE THOUGH!!

and if u started a master league team with arsenal man utd chelse or liverpool u still get the fake kits, so u have 2 delete it 2 get real kits
that liverpool away kit is so shit it!!! da rest are fine but its got old premiership lettering although numbers are right. if you care about that, then change lettering to no. 12
A ll 11 files downloaded no problem into PS3 and SAVEDATA folder on usb stick, then, tring to load into PS3….the filers only show in the PHOTO menu and not the game save data file, in fact, in game save data it tells me the data is corrupt!! any ideas??? …i have ried this with 2 sticks now, i can view the files and kits in the photo menu only
I know why people are getting stuck as I did teh first time but it does work fine. Here is the way that I did it:
1) Download the file from Rapidshare etc on to your desktop
2) Use WinRAR to extract the folder onto your desktop. (http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm - Download WinRAR 3.71)
3) Open the folder and you will see a folder with the same name. Open that and you will see a folder called PS3.
4) Copy the folder named PS3 to your USB memory stick.
5) Put your USB memory stick into your PS3 and go to the ‘game’ section and click on ‘game save utility’.
6) There will now be two icons for your USB stick. Find the one which opens up with the files. With each file highlight it and press triangle and select copy.
7) The copies are now in the right place. All you need to do now is load up the game and play!
Hints: You MUST extract the folder from the file you download off rapidshare and if you try and create new folders called ‘PS3′ or ‘SAVEDATA’ on your usb stick for some reason they MUST be in CAPITALS.
Hope this helps people that are strugling.

Sunny, if you’ve transferred it correctly on to the hard drive it should automatically work when you load up the game as it is merely a new option file and some saved scans of shirts.
Load up the game and look in the edit mode to see if it is working correctly.

i ave a problem wen playin pes2008 it 4 some reason freezes n im jus wonderin coz atm im downloadin a demo(skate) off the ps3 site n im currently dwnloadin it while playin pes08 n is tht the reason 4 the game stoppin coz b4 tht my game was wrkin fine n the game is not at all scratched!
hi mate i had the same problem there is a fault with the skate once downloaded it does not work so dont download. so my pes 2008 kept freezing once i stopped the download it worked, once i then started the download pes 2008 would freeze again so i had the same problem.
