Ass wipes, nice to know that we have been completely ripped off by those thieving bastards at Konami. Kaorean winning eleven fine, European PES full of shit! Does that tell anyone something?

Can I get a refund for my broken game? Thought not!

  2. MR DISS, A, POINTMENT Says:

knowing what i no now about this game i wouldnt even pay £1.99 for it making it cheaper doesnt make it anymore playable.
if a 42″ plasma tv sells for £999.99 then it comes on offer for £99.99 because it has no picture would you buy it.

  3. Jasperinho Says:

Pffff.. That makes you wonder if it wouldn’t be better to just wait until the end of November next year, before buying the new game. Glad that I am still playing PES on the PS2 though

  4. Joe Says:

little fuckers. i bet i cant exchange it and get half my money back

  5. assache Says:

Kaorean…. Konami are making games for Australian bears!

  6. Matthew Says:

Does anyone know if Winning Eleven 2008 will have the problems fixed?

  7. Joe Says:

i read on pesfan.com that the new winning eleven is perfect. where wud u get it from though

  8. eeug164 Says:

The Winning Eleven (HK version) have zero lag, run perfectly. I have stock available at 40 pounds each + shipping

  9. super-pes Says:

would this work on the uk ps3 could help me tell where i can get it from?

  10. eeug164 Says:

Oh yeah and I’ve found a way of photographing more than 8 kits and putting them all in the game at once so that everything is authentic.

  11. eeug164 Says:

What?? You don’t believe me? Ha!

  12. Anon Says:

I’ve just had a thought. Do people that are suffering loads of lag offline have loads of content on their PS3 hard drive?? If so that could explain why some people notice a difference when updating the firmware. I have nothing on my hard drive and consequently have very little lag offline.

It shouldnt affect the game quality but I thought it might be an interesting idea.

  13. Joe Says:

yeah true but i dont want to have to delete everythin to play 1 game. its not acceptable

  14. Joe Says:

    stop talking shit eeug

  15. Anon Says:

Does anyone know where I can download that “football, Soccer” song from off PES2008? Its so bad I want it for my ringtone!

  16. Anon Says:

Agree Joe but would be interesting to see if its true.

  17. Anonymous Says:

    Still aint worth that much!
    wankers

  18. NickNack Says:

Robbing bastards the game has not been out longer than 5 weeks and now Konami do this to us.They treat us loyal pro evo gamers who bought it on the day of release like shit. This really is one big kick in the nuts something needs to be done about this its just not on at all

  19. JJ Says:

Has anyone tried the online mode on Winning Eleven 2008? Is it better than the EU version?

  20. Scamz Says:

Switch To Fifa…… It’s The Only Way

  21. john4 Says:

makes me glad i only paid £30 for it 2days b4 release at shopto. i think since you advertise for play on the homepage you should prolly update their prices coz the 360 version is £25 on there too, dunno bout the others…..

  22. BlueScouse Says:

Just goes to prove my point that the game is absolutely gash. It hasn’t been out for a month yet and the price has plummeted by nearly 50%. Konami’s efforts this year forced me to try out the new FIFA game and i’m glad i did!

Konami have turned me into a FIFA fan, cheers Seabass ;)

  23. Big Dick Says:

I traded in Fifa for Pro Evo but i have to say i still wudnt go back to FIFA, despite the lags and all its not that bad

  24. rossboss Says:

im likin pro more than i did at the start but been playin fifa demo and its mayb that bit betta overall, neva 4t id say that. pro betta wake the hell up for 2009

  25. Nick Says:

The world has finally realized just how much a joke this game is and so have rightly reduced the price. Gargabe game.

  26. superdave Says:

why does my pro evo crash everytime just before the games starts, it worked fine before the update????!!

    total fucking bollocks

  27. assache Says:

Update? What update? What are you playing it in?

  28. assache Says:

    In = On. Whoops!

  29. assache Says:

I sent the below email to Konami after heraing about the price drop. I am not stupid enough to think I’ll get a measured response, but, I have checked what I have said in the email with a solicitor and do have a couple of mates capable of getting small snippet type stories in a couple of UK red tops (Their not VIP enough to get large editorials). It’s not an easy process the small claims court, but, given the problems with the original game purchased by us PES fans, it is perfectly legal to expect a full refund.

Can I have my money back! I bought this ‘broken’ game the day it came out, it has now been reduced in price by 50% in most stores around the UK. You have ripped your customers off and I am currently in discussions with the department of trade and industry and the UK national press to highlight this fact. You sold European gamers an unfinished product and therefore you should, as a company, offer anyone who purchased PES2008 a full refund. Failure to do this will be in breach of European retail law and as such you could be taken to small claims courts all over the UK by every individual who purchased the game.

I expect more than your standard response, failure to give me a considered reply, will, I promise you, start the ball rolling on your first visit to a UK small claims court for damages and a published story in two of the major UK national newspapers.

    ripped off

  32. mn9ajas Says:

I’ve had no offline problems with the game at all since I bought it on release day. However, I thought as an experiment that I would take it off my smaller HDTV in my bedroom and try it on my normal 28inch CRT TV. OH MY GOD! I am not surprised there are so many people complaining. The game skips frames and feels like its playing at twice the speed and the graphics are worse than PS2 Pro Evo 6 played through the same set up.

Its absolutely no excuse but I can see why Konami said you needed a HDTV to play it on now. Its now back upstairs and playing like a dream again.

  34. assache Says:

Well that’s an admission that equates to a full refund people.

  35. anon Says:

Its true. They should only concentrate on PS3 development next year and scrap the other versions! :)

  36. anon Says:

Oh yeah and the Wii version too

  37. Capo Says:

    ^^wanker^^

  39. MR DISS, A, POINTMENT Says:

spoke to gamestation said they could only give me £2.50 for my pes2008 (xbox360)and that is more of a good will gesture they said they just cant shift them.
they also said if they do manage to sell the remainder of there new stock they wouldnt not be re ordering this game.

  40. Matthew Says:

    hello Peter Willis,

can we confirm that the winning eleven 2008 has had all the problems fixed and is it possible for it to have more than 8 kits as said by ‘eeug164′.

if so I will get rid of my PES 2008 and get a copy of Winning Eleven 2008.

    Thanks.

  41. rob tune Says:

That is disgusting, i’ve been ripped off 50 quid for a shit game that doesnt play properly! then to add insult to injury they reduce the price by 25 quid, what a total total joke! First pro evo game i’ve ever bought….probably the last

    One word…… Twat!

  46. assache Says:

Just traded in PES2008 at my local Gamescene store… They gave me £20(They need to start reading some forums. Ended up buying a trade in FIFA08 for my PES2008+£9.99 (bargain).

Sorry to abandon PES. but, I just cannot justify having a broken game at full price sitting in my collection. When I hear about an update to sort out the lag, I am sure I will return to PES, but, for now it’s gonna have to be FIFA i’m afraid. I’ll try FIFA tonight and probably be trading that in as well tomorrow, I just can’t see myself becoming attached to it, but, with all the crap surrounding PES at the moment, I may as well give it a go.

A very let down PES Fan!

  47. Victor Says:

I am bloody disappointed with this version of the PS3 PES 2008, I have been a loyal Konami Winning Eleven fan since Winning Eleven 3 j-league on PS1 and to my great disgust with Seabas’s comment about “other factors” for releasing a fucked-up PES version I will piss and burn on this copy.

If I am not to burn this I want Konami to give us, the loyal followers of PES, a great discount for the next installment of PES 2009 to make up for my hard earned money!!!!

What do you guys think? We bought a shit fucked up PES this year we should be getting a great discount for the next installment.

    I want a huge petition!!!!

  48. NickNack Says:

What a total disgrace the final insult to all of us who have been loyal and bought it on the day of release. If you ask for your money back you won`t get it,as you have most likely played it and if you trade it in you are gonna make a big loss on it.Absolute bullshit this is i don`t think you`ll see cod4 being half price for at least about 3 months.I`m with victor we should get a bloody discount off the next version because basically many of us loyal gamers have been ripped off
