Konami speaks out on PES 2008

Konami’s PR representative for Europe has spoke to our friends at PC Action.
In online gaming there are hundreds of components you have to consider. There are too many complicated factors you have to take into account when get involved in online gaming. And we are working hard to get rid of these problems.

im sure there is alot of complications with online gaming,but just about every game gets it right,or amends it quickly. i have never played an online game as bad as PES2008. 16 players on say COD4 is lag free,yet two players on PES you can tackle somebody and be progressing up fieled just to see the ball dissapear and the tack seemingly never exist,the strangest thing is it even shows you making the tackle and moving on then the ball reappear elsewhere in the dam REPLAY. ive played 3 online games and shall not be playing again….

I bought the game when it was realesed and dindt play one single game online…

About this patch, has framerate issues gone on the ps3 OFFLINE?
Yeah pretty much Cavenaghi, especially if you play in the default camera angle. Only very minor slowdown when the box is crowded etc. Don’t know about the wide angle view though

Stop complaining, you’ve been had by Konami, take the game back, I did, now I am playing FIFA08 and quite frankly, once you have got used to the way the game plays, it’s very good. I know I’ll get the usual fan boy back lash “Fuck off fifa wanker” etc, but hey, EA have actually improved their product whilst Konami have completely shafted it’s loyal fan base. I have only ever played Konami’s version of footy, but enough is enough.
It sounds to me as though there are a lot of people complaining, but, not actually taking any action (a consumers only recourse is to reject the product).
Millions of people hated the fact that our government bombed innocent people based on a complete lie, but, what did they do when we all had a vote to get rid of them, yep, we voted them back in! And what do we do now, yep, complain about them! Just plain stupid!
@assache: Pity many people (like me) have a PC and cannot enjoy a decent FIFA on our platform, courtesy of EA being wankers in their turn. It’d kill to have a footie game made by a company that respected the consumers.

Fair point ass ache but i think FIFA is pants as well lol so i`ve stuck with pro evo.To be fair tho the patch has helped altho there still seems to be alot of folk on here moaning that it hasn`t helped.Altho in my opinion it definetly has
why do all you people keep complaining about pro evo if you dont like it dont play it. as for online play who cares about that either. i quite enjoy it the goal keeping is the most re-alistic its ever been and you can score some great goals. so i will keep playing it until next year when an even better version will come out. as for the so called lag i dont get it at all, ok a little on replays but you still get one good replay. i dont play it with auto save on and i down loaded the latest playstation software and it works fine. so enjoy it rather than moan about it, most of you must be english cause all they do is moan. good they not in Euro 2008. Go Croatia!!!!!

On that point though, what happened to all the footy games we used to get (TIF etc)on the original Playsation & Playstation2? Have Konami & EA just blown them all out of the water? I admit that they were not all great, but, at least there was some variety in the market place, it appears that with just Konami & EA fighting for consumers cash, it would appear that it had bread a certain contempt. I find it difficult to believe that in Europe where football is the number one sport, we only have a Japanese company & a Canadian country making football games, where are all the European developers? Surely a game of footy made by a European developer is not too much to ask? It may even help to make Konami & EA up their game>
Yeh stop complaining people. I am too distraught at the pro evo efforts this year. After being a die hard fan, they failed to release a finished product this year. Just get over it and move on..

Online or not online…that is NOT the question…You muppets sell a substandard product as the finished article and the ignorant masses (me included) bought it in good faith as being the first proper Next Gen incarnation of Football.

Who gives a toss how many they have in their production team. At the end of the day it is a massive franchise for them and as such they should put adequate resources to it, be it 6 or 60! Its not as if we are talking about a tiny company that has no money.
ps I actually think the offline game on PS3 is great now since the patch.
