New official patch for PC PES 2008

Thanks to StrategyInformer for the heads up on this one.
Now available is PC patch version 1.2 for Pro Evolution Soccer 2008… this new patch fixes:
1. Searching for opponents in “Quickmatch” tries first to pair you with
players having a good connection
2. Occasionally appearing slow downs during matches have been fixed to
improve game play quality
3. Some changes to the network structure have been introduced in order to
solve issues for users which are not able to connect to opponents
4. Issues with Windows Vista causing PES 2008 not to recognize the full
amount of the video card’s VRAM have been fixed.
5. Various other minor issues have been corrected
It certainly hasn’t resolved point number 4 on Vista x64 so I’m still using the workaround I posted on here a little while back.
Why am I not surprised?
When I installed the new patch I tried to play the game and it keeps saying “The Program Has Stopped working” before I even get to the options screen. Any ideas?
Why dont you punk @rse fools ditch the pc and play on a console, moaning @rse faggs!
they can keep making patches and patches trieig to fix their mistakes but in the end it’s just PEs. In fact, I don’t see any difference made by the patch, I actually think it makes the game worse. Konami is just publishing patches to act like they care about what the players of pro evo think, but Sea-ass already stated we will be seeing something better in the next game. For me that hasto mean they are making the greatest football game of all time, because no matter how much you complain about the online play or compare it to FIFA, pro will still be the best football simulator.
Because the PC version kicks the PS3 versions arse!
Plus we’ve got proper kits!
Can someone please confirm if the online lag is gone?

I can now play games online with the patch and get into rooms, but it’s still horribly laggy to the point of being unplayable. Not happy.

I’ve installed the patch and this is what the game should have been like on release.
The lag on singlelayer is gone, it no longer says my GeForce 8800 GTS has less than 64Mb of RAM and I can now choose resolutions all the way up to 1920×1200 in the settings utility.
What is doesn’t fix is the terrible AI of your defenders leaving huge gaps in the centre of your defence, which is the only thing that irritates me about PES2008.
To the previous poster, what OS are you running? If Vista, is it 64-bit?
This patch is useless. It has not resolved point number 4, on top of that my game does not even load anymore. It says PES has stopped working.. Im using Vista 64-Bit with 4GB Ram and 8800GT. Totally fed up!

Yes I am using Vista 64-bit and a BFG 8800GTS 320Mb

I find that extremely interesting. I’m using a 640MB version and, like the user above you, with 4GB RAM. Are you also using 4GB RAM or only 2GB?
TiTi, did you try uninstalling the game, re-installing and immediately applying the patch prior to using Kitserver or anything else? I personally did and it didn’t work but it might be worth your time.

I dont know the buttons of this game… And i tried look them but there is only xbox 360´s guide… Im sick of this darkness… :D

Fucking lag online still not fix. KONAMI had gived up. Good news.
Lags like hell over online play with my 20MB connection. Real poor effort there Konami. Patch 1.2 did nothing to improve online play on the PC.
