Leipzig Hands-on of PES 2008

Our insider out at Leipzig has had the chance to see the game in action and even got a couple of minutes on Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 himself. Here are his first impressions:
- Textures all seem very clean considering it’s not ‘complete’ (according to konami).
- Excellent use of cut-scenes especially for goal celebrations.
- Very similar in-game animations to XBox 360 PES6, no huge leaps in graphics during the game.
- Plays very much like XBox 360 PES6 but somehow feels more ‘real’ without being obvious in how it does it.
- Many more individual animations (you can tell the difference between the running style of Henry to Ronaldo even more clearly than we ever could in the past for example).
- Shirts are untucked for certain players.
Keep it tuned to PESGaming for more updates as they come in.

- I hope the textures aren’t too clean in the Gold copy, I like dirrrty
- I hope they still have humping or I’ll be very upset!
- No harm there having played on the 360 version, happy with that I guess!
- Good, see previous point!
- A true PES trate, having a larger database can only be good.
- wahoo! It will be like the real thing!
Haven’t been this excited for PES since…. 2 or 3 I can’t remember which one I wet the bed over more?
