Commentary - Cheesy as ever!

We were delighted when Konami finally dumped Peter Brackley and Trevor Brooking, but it would seem the scripting for the commentary is going to be just as cheesy. Here are just a few examples of the new commentary lines:
Jon Champion: (score at 0-0) “This is far too tentative. There’s plenty of possesion in midfield, but no penetration.”
Jon Champion: (offside decision) “The ol’ lino got that spot on”.
Mark Lawrenson: (Man Utd vs. Barcelona) “Two sides who prefer to attack… rather than defend”.
Seriously, Konami? Lino? Can’t they just watch a match of Sky Sports to see what they actually say. My bet is they just get someone to literally translate the Japanese commentary script.
Fortunatley, however, they have boosted the commentary by now having it realise when you are on a strong winning-streak and they will discuss it during the game. This also works for the cup, with stories about previous victories.

At last Brackley and Brooking are gone, no more having to listen to Brooking’s dreary tones, with abit of luck the constant flow of contradictory phrases have gone.
I must say Mark Lawrenson is an interesting addition, if he comes up with some of the comments he does on BBC i may end up loosing concentration and inevitably allow you to win Pete!
well anything is better than the comentary team that they were using
