Fix for Vista problems with PES 2008 demo?

I have no idea if this information is accurate, but Issam has left us this message regards running the game on Windows Vista operating systems:
Excellent news for Vista Owners. What you have to do is just update your SDK to a vista version . What is happening for Vista owners is that Direct x 9 is unable to play highly graphic games such as PES 2008, therefore the only solution is to update your SDK to a newer version which is available here from Microsoft for free - http://download.microsoft.com
/download/3/3/f/33f1af6e-c61b -4f14-a0de-3e9096ed4b3a/dxsdk _aug2007.exe

Do you need to config any settings after installed SDK.I played it using high details . Look like a bit improve but when close up , still not smooth.
Still same problem, my screen blacks out every two seconds while playing the game, i’m using a 2900XT with the latest driver the 7.9 Catalyst Hotfix, which just came out yesturday ??? So whats goin on, that was 500MB gone to the dust bin of history … lol help me out here
Ok if it is still the same for you. Please update your Vista SDK below the following site and I guarantee to you that it has to work for you. Just download PES 2008 from the Mirror that it says (Best). Email me if it did not work for you batiss625@skmc.gov.ae.My PS3 PSN is Green-Peace .

i emailed you, the problem still exists ???
Explain your problem please. I have not received anything from you. Let’s share on this thread the problems of Vista owners so ever members of this excellent forum can benefit from our discussion.
Please all do the follwoing before downlaoding Direct X 10
Go to run….. type “dxdiag” Short for Direct X Diagnostics… you can check your version from there. Good luck
Here is the email i sent u, copied and pasted here:
You suggested i download that Fix for Windows Vista, and so i did, but the problem still remains, the screen blacks out every few seconds and goes back to normal, extremly annoying. I hope this issue wouldn’t remain when the full version of the game comes out … By the way, when i alt-tab, and the game runs without fullscreen, as in running as a window, the problem is gone, but so is vsync and antialiasing and antropolising or whatever they are called, since i turn them on … and no the problem still occurs even if the videocard setting is on standard, best performance, or best quality … I thought the problem was with Windows Vista SP1 Beta, so i went back to Windows Vista normal, done all the updates, so its up to date, and done both those patches (SDK August, and the new one u linked), still the same problem ???
Dear Issam! Please help me!
my problem is this: When i try to open Settings I get this message:
“Warning: Your computer does not meet the minimum specifitations necessary to run software. You may experience errors during operation”
And then I can just pick low-settings.
Ive downloaded the latest “Vista SDK”.
thanks!
Vinnie

This is ridciulous and I’ll tell you why.
Issam, you say this SDK for August needs to be run before downloading DirectX 10 but DirectX 10 is bundled with Vista. You cannot install Vista without installing DirectX 10 therefore this SDK, which is for DirectX 9, will have absolutely no benefit to anyone with Vista.
Just so you know, the first link:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=94d790bf-1e15-46d7-923a-614e47f016c8&DisplayLang=en
Tells me that the update does not apply to my system. I have run the SDK which you provided a download link for and, as I expected, it has fixed nothing. The issue is between the demo and the graphics drivers. The demo does not recognise the graphics drivers therefore believes them to be incapable of running at anything other than low settings.
same here cnt see any crowd or owt like that coz of the problem gameplay wise fine just says wat everyone elses say cant reconise my drivers only lets me pick low quality
My dear Vinnie
Simply you have to download the full package of Downloading DirectX 9.0c , because it seems to me that your computer is not running any of Direct software . Please try to download below and tell me what will happened with you . Tonight guys I will post a pictures that shows PES 2008 working on my Laptop which is Vista .

Dear Don
What you mentioned previously that “You cannot install Vista without installing DirectX 10 therefore this SDK” is not true, because direct X is consider as a new software for Vista owners and you have to options to download it so you can play high graphic games such as PES 2008. The first option is to download the site I post previously which helped me to play the PES 2008 demo on my laptop (Vista) the other option is to update you computer software’s by clicking on the control panel - pick update. Below website is a proof that direct x10 is not bundled with Vista.. However I am working now on finding a software by Microsoft that allow to vista owners to have the complete package of direct x and their components. I will try to post the software by tomorrow. This software will be the ultimate solution for all the vista owners.. Please read below article
http://www.theinquirer.net/en/inquirer/news/2006/06/15/direct-x-10-will-be-vista-only
Issam,
The following link: http://news.softpedia.com/news/Microsoft-Drops-the-Bomb-DirectX-10-Hardware-Won-039-t-Support-DirectX-10-1-62482.shtml
states quite clearly that DirectX 10 comes as standard with Vista. Yes you can play DirectX 9 games, but you cannot use XP graphics drivers from nVidia and ATi. Both companies have had to write special Vista graphics drivers and these are what the demo is not recognising. Certainly post the software which has helped it to work on your system but with PC setups so different and volatile, it seems unlikly to me that it will be a fix for everyone.
Issam, Windows Vista comes with DX10, i don’t have a problem running the game, and on Highest, or the best quality, the issue for me is that the screen blacks out and goes back to normal every 2 to 10 seconds when inside the game, it really annoying, and you can’t play … Its not a pause either, because the game continues to play while the screen is black, i’ve tryed mutiple resolutions, and the problem still remains … However, as i said, the problem disapears once in “Window Mode”, and not “Full Screen mode” …

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-P35-DQ6
RAM: OCZ XTC SLi-Ready Edition Overclocked Like Hell !!!
LoL The system is quite powerful, and i hold one of the records for a stable air cooled system :D With that sh*tty processor performing much better then an E6850 :D Happy with my PC, sad that PES2008 isn’t working properly, because thats the game i mostly play on the PC, why u might ask i need a computer overclocked to such specs … Well thats because of games like World In Conflict, Crysis, Bioshock, and other DX10 games coming out in the future which i also play :D
Help me out here please
Problem Fixed … Downloaded that last one u told someone else to get, the 50 something megabyte patch, and its working fine now … IS there a multiplier-time patch … its really annoying that u can’t play multi-player or change the time, stupid KONAMI !!! How hard is it to enable the second controller … man i hate it when they do stuff like this, are the X-Box 360 and PS3 versions multiplier ???
Links to hotfixes that apply to SLI and DirectX 9 SDK’s!! So Vista needs an DX update to play the “highly detailed graphics” of PES, are you serious?! This man (Issam) doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Vista is a DirectX 10 platform and can only run DirectX 10, so checking DXDIAG will only tell you Vista is running DX10, get it? The demo doesn’t recognise the Vista graphic card drivers, that’s why people are having problems with 64MB VRAM errors and the like.
I appreciate you trying to help, but you’re making yourself look stupid.
All i need to say
http://www.winningelevenblog.com/2007/10/pes-2008-pc-demo-kitserver-7.html
that would allow u to pick whatever graphic setting you want aswell as allow multiplier and pick whatever time u want in the demo :D Hope that helps
-Mustafa Shararah :D
Thanks, Mustafa!! I’m downloading right now.
Pro Evo 2008 demo does not support Pc that uses 4gig. Just sharing that info. If you where to take out some ram (extreme i know) back to 2gig. The game will load.
WeeGIE, it supports for 4GB of RAM on my PC without any problems whatsoever. Perhaps you have a RAM issue.
nothing has changed in the full release, the game wont run (above 640/480 min detail) with vista x64 and 4gig ram
but is it the win64 or the 4 gig ram, since i upgraded recently to 4gig so im not sure
just took out 2gig of ram and now it works fine, so it must be that
I’m using Vista Ultimate x64, PES2008 won’t run with 4GB of ram (well, not in any decent resolution, that is)
After removing 2GB, it works perfectly. I suppose it has to do with allocating memory, this is quite a horrible programming bug. A patch would be very welcome, it’s amazing Konami dares to release a bugged game as this problem has been known since the demo release.
same prob here… removing 2 gb ram was the solution
Is there a crack for windows xp64 version? i tried tre vitality crack and it tell me the file is not for the machine, tried the compatibility mode and nothing. Someone managed to make the crack work on xp64/’>? appreciate./
Dude…. to resolve the problem with vram 64mb in the game ONLY removing a memory ram?!?! i have 4×1gb… if i remove one of them this f*ck games get work?!?!?!?!
i will whait for some patch…. 4GB rlz!!
Just got the game in the mail and…for fuck sake. Still. How can Konami be so fucking stupid that they havent programed it to run on Vista. Ive got 4 mb ram and Vista 64.
I dont get it. why not only win 98? or 3.1 why they still at it…
Is there a way of turning off some RAM without having to physically remove it?
Hello
I want to download game PES 2007
afaik there is no way to disable the amount of ram, just have to remove it
I have a prob too.
When im playing game stop the image and exit game with a message saying ” error have to close ”
What can I do?
I have Dual Core, 2GB’s ram, GeForce 8400 GS, Windows Vista Home Premium
Can you help me?
For the ones with the 4gb ram problem use this : http://rapidshare.com/files/65135522/kitserver-700c.zip
And to the others?
This is fucking skandal, how can it be that Konami gives us a patch for the 4gb vista problem? I dont get it… how hard can it be?
With the kitserver “kibz” linked the highst resolution I can choose is 1024*768, And I have a 20″ creen and in win I use 1600*1200…
that sucks :(

Hi all, i have this problem with the full version. When its on medium and any resolution some players are missing arms, but not hands, and some their waists. Referees are missing their chests. When its on high i dont have problems but i want to play medium on high resolution better then high on low resolution. I got a good video card, nVidia 512MB GeForce 7600. 2 gigs ram, so wtf?
There are some programs in the net that allow you to deduct some RAM without having to do it physically. They simply limit the memory that is loaded when you boot in the OS. Personally I have found that for PES2008 to work in my system (I have vista x64 an 5 GB of RAM with an NVIDIA 8800 GT 512), I need to remove an amount of RAM that makes my graphic card have less than 2000 mb of memory (because NVIDIA uses system RAM to increase the amount of video memory).
The programs I refer to previously are (among others I Suppose) “Vistabootpro” or “EasyBCD”. It’s as easy as locating the option that says deduct physical memory and put a number there wich will be the amount in MB that you will deduct from your RAM. That way you don’t have to take the stick of RAM from your motherboard. When you want your hole memory again, just change the number you wrote to “0″, or uncheck the box that enables the feature in those programs. Hope it helps.
hi…do you need vista to play pes 08
dear all,
i have just installed PES 2008, and have a 8600gtx nvida graphic card, and 3Gb ram and vista os.
when i try to set the graphucs even to medium the following window pops out :that the computer does not have the min. requirements to run..
