Hmmmm, after thinking I’d be buying FIFA09 (which from gameplay footage is looking real good IMO)rather than PES2009, this video makes me wonder.
Anybody else thinkn that there was a more comprehensive kit editor in the bg- after the emblem is finished and shown on the shirt there are what looks like many options behind Seabass, most of them turned off (with large X’s in the box) and the tripes turned on!!
Woo Hoo!! The kit editor has always been a selling point for me.
I’m not impressed by the character models though. An the animations make the players lack weight.
D;oh, sorry now I have read more recent info i realised that there is a more comprehensive editor officially announced. Here I was thinking i had spotted something unreleased!
Hey i think it’s great accept the animations ecc cause they are the same….emmm what about the master league ?
D-Pad not for controling players but for dribling and manual passing…does it mean it is going to be only analog control player !!!!???
konami need to realise that the premiership is the best league in the world and they should have the licenses for it! no1 cases about the sh!tty bundesliga! does any1 know is berbatov is cuming to united or we gona sign huntlaar instead?

Fifa demo is out september 11 and if the gameplay is ok …as much i love PES …byby PES!!! Better garphichs , custom controls , good gameplay, licences …sorry but this is to much for me to not give it a try ….!!!!
Why does it have to be one ot the other, they both seem to be showing very good ponts, i look forward to BOTH games

Sounds promising. I suspect though that there will be an option to change the controls so that you can switch the feints etc to the analogue stick instead of the D-pad. I’ll be annoyed if this wasn’t the case!!
My concerns from watching the videos are the fact that the keepers still parry a lot to open attackers and that although the edit mode has been improved it looked like predetermined shapes and background colours only, leaving it still to be seem if you can edit badges fully.
The gameplay video at the back was way better than the one posted earlier. I think Pro Evo is coming back to take its crown
is it confirmed 100% that the full edit mode of the ps2 version is back or is it still the same ****ty 1 frm last year

after watching this video i am still exited and think PES09 will be great.
the gameplay looks good the animations also and the stadiums look superp.
the edit mode seems to be back with a bang so i am looking forward to this game big time.
Playing fifa is like watching Match of the day, there so close to capturing the real atmosphere and look of football
Wheras PES feels more like football, the vast amount of ways you can break defences , shoot , and the goals you can score..
If these two games came together we could all be in a footballing heaven lol
