Due for release on 17th October, PES 2009 marks the triumphant return of what is regarded as the most realistic football title for any format. Users will be treated to an expansive playable demo of the new title, with the bespoke version offering a full five-minute Exhibition multiplayer match.
Players will be able to select fully licensed Manchester United, Liverpool, Real Madrid, and Barcelona club teams, or the licensed Italian or French national sides. The demo will allow users an early taste of the all-new elements set to further bolster PES 2009’s reputation as the definitive football game. All new visuals with completely remodeled players and animations, and new physics routines to ensure the ball behaves more realistically have been included, while the AI of the CPU sides has been enhanced to provide an ever evolving challenge.
The PES 2009 demo will also include promotional videos detailing the new game’s ‘Become a Legend’ and online ‘Legends’ modes, which see the player controlling just one player within a team and attempting to forge a career in football. Starting as a promising 17-year-old, players must force their way into the first team and produce a series of blistering performances which will ultimately result to a move to one of Europe’s biggest sides. Or, on the flipside, poor performances can see a player struggling in the lower leagues and eventually being released.

I have been expecting this….FIFA releases the full game next Thursday, so it was predictable Konami would release the demo on the same date…
Good choice from them, as instead of trying FIFA with my noob-friends that haven’t seen the PES-light yet, I’ll be playing the demo.
Good marketing, as EA would have 2 weeks advantage on PES in terms of release & there might be some people not willing to wait 2 weeks and hence buying FIFA, with the chance they’ll like it and will skip PES altogether.

Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH has announced it has agreed a sponsorship partnership with leading premium sports broadcaster Setanta Sports, which will see the subscription sports broadcaster appear prominently within the UK version of Konami’s forthcoming PES 2009 title, and work closely with the publisher before and after the game’s Autumn launch.
It’s great news, but a little too late for myself…

nothing to discuss I just cant wait to get my hands on the best football game, although after playing fifa 2009 demo for a little bit longer I really like it I will have to get both this year, last fifa game I bought is fifa 2007 on 360, and before I bought fifa 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 but all second hand after months of the release long time ago PES always was a winner for me but I really like fifa 2009 demo after playing it for longer, just adjust the camera and you will like it just change to briadcast or zoom in its not as bad as fifa anymore its playable
