PES 2009: PSP version feedback to Konami

Hey Guys
We have been asked by Konami to ask you guys out there for feedback on PES2009 on the PSP.
So we would appreciate it if anyone that owns the version could please let us know in the comments section what they think of the game.
They are keen to know how the the online mulitplayer game (steady now fellas – sorry to use that dirty word “online”, I know how it gets many of you mad as a rabid dog..) on the PSP version is in particular.
But any/all feedback on the version, such as whether you think it is a worthwhile effort developing on the PSP, or whether you think that they should concentrate on the mainstream console versions more, etc.
And remember kids, be nice – unnecessary rude words in replies only deflect from the message you are trying to send. So bite your tongues if you need to, and give it to us straight.

The PSP version is OK, but I did not test the online mode as I do not have that wireless router. The controls are good, and also

not tried a multiplayer game yet..
1)the PES goes good enough in PSP too.I play BAL in PSP,its nice to play in 3rd person camera.
but to get it practiced ,there is no option of changing camera in training mode.
2)controls are easy to adopt….!!
3)you can get Messi/Ronaldo for loan when u are in ML’s 2nd division itself..(this is not possible in real life)

ive got it and i think its ok.
i play nearly every day in college against me m8 on multiplayer mode which lags abit tbh. for example even though we are sitting right nxt to each other its a bit slow abit jumpy.
but i think its ok. konami shouldnt do more to the psp versions concerntrate on ps3 xbox versions.

^ nah, scrap the pc version, surely pc s are best for wizardy r p g games, you know for geeks!
pc version has the best updates available for pes ie emirates and oltrafford better faces for all new players as well as classical players redisigned menus and boots and with with an x box control runs better than the console versions because theres no frame reduction if you’ve got a real pc.
tbh the psp version isn’t bad. which ain’t surprising considering all they’ve done for the past 2 years is change the menu and add the different licensed kits.
pc version is the best, How? first of all a decent gaming machine is requiered.
Get a PS2 pad of 360 pad, get a usb convertor to plug into your pc, download best updates kits etc… enjoy. oh and if you have a big screen telly, thats even better! connect ur pc to ur tv and hay! :)
I think its the best PSP version they have done. The kit editor is good and the gameplay feels a lot more solid. Just a shame that the champions league was cut out.
foget the psp version, concentrate on the console version get that right then move on to the psp after.
Worth while definitely, ML on the way to work is stroke of genius.
Haven’t played an online game yet as am fed up with Konami ID on the PS3 and didn’t want to go through the trouble on PSP.
If you want to know how to do good online Konami, have a look at Fifa. MAKE IT SIMPLE!

i play the psp version all of the time, ML and BAL there both great fun but the graphics are becoming…dated for want of a better word and in general the the game is pritty much the same as the last two versions (except for BAL of course). As for Multiplayer havent tried it… keep going with the psp version only thing that keeps me sane in work!!
The PSP Version is Great! I would love it if they added commentary. Please continue developing the PSP version!
The only slight problem with it, is that it is quite jumpy when playing multiplayer, even when I am sitting right next to my friend. That is the only main concern…

I have to say i dont think the psp version is worth paying out for. Apart from the menus, its identical in game to the previous 2 versions. No new animations, no commentary still, and just one poxy pitch and stadium to play in every single match! If fifa can have full commentary and loads of different stadiums, why cant Pes? And no im not a fifa fan, but in my opinion, it is far superior and playable over a long period of time, on the psp. Playing in silence in a bog standard stadium over and over again, gets tedious very quickly for me. Online, like many people, we dont play it online on the psp version.
Hold on, is this the same Konami that appeared to take no notice of this site whatsoever when presented with Dan’s letter? Not so much as a response?

If Konami approached me to assist in some Q & A with it’s public I would have said F”"K PSP online you D”"K, what the F”"K about normal online. Sort that out or F”"K OFF!

I bought the PSP version this year because I just wanted a soccer game to play on my PSP on long trips etc. I hardly even use my PSP and I play my PS3 every day.
I would gladly do without a PSP version next year if it meant a much better PS3 version. I’ve already got a soccer game for my PSP now and it’s not going to hurt my feelings if Konami abandon it next year in favor of fixing the problems with PS3 version.
I would simply love to be able to edit kit sponsors and numbers. Doesn’t seem like it would be that much trouble to add.
I really mis the commentary bit in de PSP version. I also feel that it’s to much of a PS2 version as well, whether they should try (if possible with the PSP as the platform) to make it more of a PS3 version of the game..
I never tested the online bit..
Update it. It’s good but could get better.
Pros:
Good gameplay.
Nice graphics, better than FIFA09 PSP but could be touched on.
BAL is good.
Cons:
Commentary.
More licensed kits.
More stadium.
More skills variation.
ML to be more like a proper season with real cash with better promotions and relegations.
More teams and licensed leagues.
The ability to edit boots again.
UEFA Champions League and other things missing from other console versions.
More celebrations.
Fix BAL to being more realistic because the game isn’t as free-flowing as normal.
More camera views like end to end, etc.
offtopic: I would love to see an Iphone / Ipod touch version.
Real Football 2009 looks almost like a PES game, it would be nice to see if Konami its up the challenge.
i feel that pes 2009 for the psp is a well good game. It has all the quality of the old pros and new qualities from the new. This is what i see anyways. 9/10, only bad thing for me is the player graphics which is not much of a bother when your playing :)
The psp version is good BUT some things can be better:
1 When I play with friends it’s shocking still!!!
2 The ball control of most players is awfull!!
3 Please OTHER/MORE STADIUMS!! 4 years in the same stadium now!!
4 Make the nets of the goal WHITE!! Never seen blue/white!!!

PSP version was the best. At home I’ll play PS2 version, but when I’m away, I’ll play PES on PSP all the time. The best game ever to play. I like it on PSP. It should be improve more. adhoc sometimes lagging and infrastructure mode always lagging. Something must be done to improve it more. There was no Champion League and comentary for PSP. Add it plz.

I have PES on PS3 and PSP but now I’ve moved to Toronto so can only play PSP.
It’s not bad I prefer to call it & PS2 version No Evolution Soccer since as a game it’s very dated graphics and sound wise.
Online works fine for me I have a good connection plus this the only way I can play against a non computer opponent it lags sometimes but you are using online with a handheld system this is to be expected. Moreover, Konami must make there next gen online play perfect it’s embarrasing with amount of money and tech involved.
BAL is awesome on PSP its just as addictive as next gen and of curse so is ML so there is deffo some merit in the game. A MASSIVE thing is now that finally commentary is decent in the game it has to be on the PSP I dont understand the need to remove it, if it lags online or something then remove it there but in ML I wanna hear it in depth it creates allot of the atmosphere otherwise the game doesn’t offer much value for money.
AND you paid all that money for the rights to the champions league yet the CL mode is not available? its really good on PS3 I want to play it again.
the graphics are stale and the become a legend camera gives migraines.Tricks are near impossible to perfect and messi is so fast, he becomes redundant, an where is the champions league mode???

the multiplayer is not so gr8 as it freezes alot & is quite jumpy, the ball seems to disapear & reappear, so not very gd.
what happened to the boot editing, u can now only edit the colour and there are no licenced boots & not very many licenced kits, the kit editing could be improved as well by being able to put your logos onto the kits. In short why does the psp version fall short of the other consol versions.
i think the boots should be better for psp they dont even have nike or adidas boots
if u wanna compare pc,ps3,xbox. psp pes 2009 is not that good as pc but u shouldnt expect so much from a psp its a small console (better than ds)
psp version is crap ive got it and u dont have real boots even if u download a patch i think they should make sure they have that next time
okay so the psp version in fine but looks like a rather lazy port of a far more competitive pc version and i respect that cause the u guys first make game better in the dominant console and later concentrate in the lower ones.
the gameplay is great but a bit rigid which is perfect for the psp but for the pc and others…. not so
graphics is great but could use a bit more effort
the sound is where the game lacks… the commentary is truely better than previous titles but it still is a bit below average (add commentary to psp!!!!)
the game modes are great BUT:
1. messi doesn’t get loaned to 2nd division league
2. master league has currency in points(P)… now thats a bit non realistic and confusing for some… just use a $ or pounds would be even better
3. be a legend mode rocks the hell out of u but the camera is a HUGE problem
4. BAL isn’t perfect (but still is great) add more realism and real boots would be great and also make the salary u get have a meaning. not just use it for ur online legend make it usefull offline like buying stuffs and things like that
now about the ai… improve it its not that great. i can easily beat the top player difficulty. all that fuss about team vision was for nothing?!??!!
how often do u think people play online. make offline experience perfect then head on to online

they need to improve on the boots becauze they are not even a real brand. and the champions league too. thats what they need to focus more on. other than that its a awesome game

pes on PSP should have better boots
i would like to hear a commentator in the psp version. the graphic is better than fifa09 but fifa09 has more colorful boots. in psp pes there is only black boots and sometimes white. psp pes should have more colorful boots and a commentator.
I think the PSP version is fine.But,why isn’t it having all the features like in the PC or other versions?Commentary should be added for the PSP version,the boots should be improved,Chapions League should be added,add more stadiums,etc.But otherwise,it is fun to play.To improve it on the PSP,add more features.
OK!!! i play da psp version every single day of my life and its da best game eva. F**K Fifa. the thing is that there is a lot to improve:make da salaries look real in ML and BAL($ or € or £ ) depending of where you play,ADD more STADIUMS and Kits!!! we dont care about the eredivisie league. keep ur money to do the real EPL( we want the real Arsenal or liverpool…), make it harder to score its boring when u beat a team 6-0 at the hardest level!Add more celebrations.
…also add more animations like seeing the coaches, the bench when the ball is out of play (like in the real life)in BAL let us play from the bench straight. make us earn our spot in practices like the ps3 version,ADD practices so we can win experience points there too.when u win a personal trophy in BAL make an animation for that. PLEASE!!! ADD commentary and make them realistic( dont make the guy scream when u just scored the ugliest goal ever.
Make the defense more smart and the goalies too. in BAL it would be cool if u could be a goalie.ADD a shop in BAL so u can buy things(for example haircuts, boots, bandanas…) with ur salary( whats the point to be paid a lot if its for nothing)ADD the CL and UEFA cup (i forgot the new name) if u are playing for ur country in BAL let us play cups like Euro, World cup…
ADD more balls,make the graphics better and PLEASE put REAL boots like the mercurial vapors,the predators,the pumas…bring back the boots editing like in pes 6!!! I know i wrote a lot but its because its my favorite game representing my favorite sport so i want it to be the best. Do that and you will have the best game ever!!! I just hope its not too late if u need me u have my e-mail. I really hope you will take my suggestions. anyways Konami and PES rocks.give us a great game on psp.
on the next one (pes 2010) let us play on the world cup. or american cup.. give us more games with the national team please.. thank you.
it is ok prfect grapkics is ok become a legend mode hase no camera wide and that there is no comentari makes the game a bit boring
sucks . no boot editing n no comentator while playing match . the online is the worst ting ever . but still ,the is room for improvement guys!
I used to play fifa from 2002 till 2006 on ps2, then seeing the graphics of pes 2006 on made me to put heart on pes. I played 2009 on ps2 and psp liked ps2 version better. For psp a facelift should be made the graphics, add commentary(fifa 09 has), uefa, stadiums, stadium atmosphere and official licenses just to balance that lasting appeal for a purchase. COMMETARY PLEASE!
All funny balonies lot trying to give it a thumbs up are idiots…Actually, since PES 6, all the rest suck!!! this is a fact. I have a PSP, i bought PES 6,7, 8 and now 9 and nothing seems to change, their kits are always the same stupid type except for most french clubs, italian clubs, manure and arsenal (i’m a chelsea fan). The images don’t look like their real life counterpart, their boots are wayyyyyy to old modern, no champions league and finally no entrance scene. The internet or “online” mode is xtremely stupid and does not work…I have a great PES fan for Ps 2, Ps 3 and x box…but I got to admit it too that it stinks for PSP!!
