Pes 2010 Gameplay Video

A big thanks to ‘Diabyisking’ for linking us to this video. It’s quite a clear video of Pes 2010′s gameplay, and I’d suggest that it was the same 70% build which we played on Friday.

Thanks for all your kind words with regard to my article below. As for those with unkind words, I have nothing to say apart from that my article does what it says on the tin. I have no wish to enter into arguments or feuds with people, but I will again look into the introduction of usernames and passwords, as feedback from some regulars would suggest that the counteraction of inane ramblings would be quite welcome!

Thanks to WinningEleven’s blog linking to my article – they provide a great site for discussion and news in my opinion!

Now this looks much better than anything from Gamescom. It’s slower and animations are really fluid. Looks better than FIFA to.

  2. Philip says:

cheers francis, i agree with you also. WENB is much better than the constant rubbish people post here.

  3. Fridge says:

    Think this looks good imo
the guys playing it could be better tho, i noticed a couple if opportunitys for a cheeky through ball go a-miss. poor show lol
fifa demo out in a fortnight so at least wel get some new next gen football even if it is inferior

  4. ieyan says:

if that’s pes 2010 gameplay still only 70% all i got to say i’m happy with that..30% left can make a huge improvements for the game..come on konami! use wisely for that 30%..

  5. Fox says:

Thanks Francis! I dunno what the deal was at Gamescom but this looks MUCH better! Note the keepers behaviour early on and especially a great tackle at 3:02.

3:45 good save as well, that was a worry at GC. Defending looks much more reliable than 2009.

7:42 Very important point here. Watch Lampard HOLD POSITION near the penalty spot. In 2009 he would have joined Terry and whoever the player was controlling on the wing, leaving that gap wide open. That’s possibly the most important improvement I’ve seen on this video for me.

  6. FuriousOne says:

Unfortunately I don’t see any major improvements from PES 09. The pace is still a little too fast, the animations are not great. I guess I’ll have to play the demo and see for myself, but as of now I’m not convinced I should buy PES10 this year. Only if it goes on sale, maybe. For now PES09 and FIFA10 will do.

  7. passthedutchie says:

    Looking good

  8. cheech & chong says:

this has been on wenb front page for about a week. it from a guy who did their last podcast called riot

  9. bradpiff says:

    lampard 93 gerrad 84 loooooooooooooool

  10. Lawrie says:

Can someone please tell me why they have decided to go with numbers rating players like FIFA? I personally loved the Hexagon or whatever thingy!

  11. Rob says:

At last! confirmation that Old Trafford is in the game even though it’s England V Germany, I’m now a very happy man.
The game is looking quite slick and the crowd noise seems bearable, the animations are a huge improvement on 09 and I could’nt hear the horrible “tippy tappy” dribbling sound.
    ROLL ON 23/10/09.

  12. ms777 says:

the pase seems to be to fast

  13. Matthew Sanderson says:

Looks good despite the fact the player playing as Germany seemed to have his finger permaently on the sprint button. Wasn’t happy with what sounded like a constant come on England chant from obout 6 mins that lasted till the half time whistle.

Maybe Gerrard was an 84 compared to Lampard’s 92 because Gerrard was playing on the left which i would consider out of position thus affecting his overall rating.

Overall i like the look of the game and the movement and animations i am seeing. Can’t wait to play it.

  14. Memoman says:

Well ****… they still call stupid offsides instead on waving play on.

It looks really good, too bad we didn’t get better players to demo this version, to see how much you can do with the new game.

  15. David says:

WOW!! I’ve been cautious so far about really getting my hopes up about PES 2010, but that looks GOOD. Judging by that vid the gameplay isn’t crazy fast like PES 2009, not as long ball-happy as FIFA 2010 and the animations have really been sorted out. The one thing, though, that I’d like to see is more realistic animations for 45 and lesser degree turns while running at full pace, that still looks a wee bit robotic to me. Other than that, it looks awesome, particularly for an apparently 70% build. Konami have come through.

    FRICKEN UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

they still give us this crap sh*T. i am deeply sorry if the guys reading this post are thinking, ‘what is he on about’..

this is JUST another game that does not deserve the money we spend. why cant they see, that if they prioritize such a game and put as many developers and people working on the game to create a next generation game that deserves to be played on our ‘next generation consoles’. and deserves the kind of money we put into it. they should have a had a similar team as did the likes of GTA4 WORKING ON THIS!

instead of taking us to the top of the mountain (which they do, but then boot us off the edge!) all they have done is make us thankful that its not the same old crap.

you know what pisses me off? i have to buy the game, cause there’s nothing else! Fifa?? not a chance… ill prob play that just to check it out, but i know whats gonna happen there also.

what needs to happen is, for another football game to be developed by a rival company. what sort of money will be involved and who do you think could come up with such a thing?

its clear these guys (konami/fifa) dont know what they are doing an are in the wrong business. We dont want to be just satisfied, we wanna be over the moon with what we have. I cant remember this ever happening.

give me a 100 guys and 10million.. watch me satisfy the world with a football game that will knock ppl off there feet – not to mention the kind of money i will make because of it, that will see future titles only get better as the funds will support. why cant konami see this? -that they will make so much more in the long run.

friggin Asians! they love putting there money in stupid sh*t like final fantasy crap. and it doesnt bring the kind of revenue that PES would bring if they got it right. and thats the bottom line

    is it good? yes

    is it playable? yes

will you be satisfied? yes (only because previous versions are bad)

do we deserve it? no way!

man we deserve the world when it comes to this game. cant they see our passion…

………they just cant get it right.

  17. taylan says:

they never will. they are hopeless.

  18. Fifer says:

around 1:30 where the player takes the chipped through ball in his stride, brilliant! Doesn’t flinch when he takes the ball, in previous versions it would always slow you down that ball hair.

it all looks very promising in my opinion, with the revamped master league all we need now is a good online. Please god, lag free servers and allow us to change the god damn difficulty…. Stuck on Begginer? **** were they thinking.

  19. stevieg12 says:

pause at 7:50 looks very realistic :)
Shaping up to bea great game
    Thankyou konami

    anyone please help
    play.com wont del to canada

  21. lutongooner says:

Graphics look beautiful, pace of the game is good, but why havent’t they got rid of the sticky ball? I have always played PES up until last year and it doesn’t look as though they have made too much of an improvement over PES 6 and 2008.

In the previews I’ve read, everyone keeps going on about how you can’t score ‘easy’ goals from 2 or 3 passes. From what I’ve seen full-backs still leave huge gaps even if their team isn’t attacking and the defending team in general run around like headless chickens.

Watch around 6:17, Trochowski plays a pass inside and it looks very unrealistic. I know this isn’t the final build but from what I have seen, apart from slightly better dribbling and a better pace, the game still looks very arcadey at times.

Oh and one more thing, what is the point in having the Champon’s League license if half the teams in the competition aren’t in the game. It was a joke last year.(and by the way I don’t care if the teams have fake names either).

Lastly, is the Bundesliga back in? It’s a disgrace just having Bayern Munchen as, several other German sides have won the league in recent years.

  22. lutongooner says:

One more thing, does anyone know if they have fixed the rediculous stamina and fitness system in League Mode? I mean I play as Arsenal and every 3 or 4 games Fabregas’s fitness would be arrow down.

I have always thought it was a cheaty thing so you can’t completely spank the league.

  23. TrevB says:

I totally loved pes 5 and pes 6. In both games it was difficult to score and make attacks on goal. pace of the games was good as well. Graphics in this clip for pes 2010 look improved and players seem to move around better, looks smoother than pes 2009. Unfortunetly like pes 2009 the pace seems to fast, giving the game an unrealistic feel. It also seems too easy to break into the opponents half, putting 2-3 passes together and getting into extremley dangerous areas to score. Maybe this is because this features a 2 player game, perhaps single play in Master League may prove a little different. I agree with someone’s comment that defending team at times ‘Runs around like headless chickens’, which brings me back to how it seems to be too easy to play ball around the opposition. Got mixed feelings on this soon to be latest installment. Pro Evo to me seems to be getting easier to play and win, this game needs to challenge the game player, I used to love scrapping out a 1-0 win in the older pes games, in which i was never sure id actually get the result, only getting a small number of great chances during a match. If this play’s similar to pes 2009 then it wont be long before I put it down.

  25. Jak says:

where did this guy get PRO10? i dont bielive this crap! show us the game cover and the menu!

  26. matt says:

This looks alot like pes 09 :(.

Does anyone know if this video contains the 360 degree dribbling? It doesnt seem like it tho this could be a earlier build. A part of me really suspects this (360 degree dribbling) wont be as good as its hyped out to be on either fifa or pes.
The graphics are a big tick tho I like them alot better than fifa where all of their players look nothing like them!
I wish they would sort out the players actions when not on the ball tho as it makes it look faker. I want defenders to mark players, tussle a bit etc which fifa has giving them some credit to say the least. Still its only a game.
Atleast the gameplay will still be there, as i hate fifa’s where any turn of more than 90 degrees results in you losing the ball and the pass, pass, pass etc system it has.

I’m going to play both demos to see if they sorted out both of their huge problems.

Saying all that, they’ve improved games hugely in the last few years! And all we (as gamers) do is pick holes in it every year! I see on youtube and hear from friends all the time “ahhh its glitched! Look at that! i’ve jumped through the wall” or they choose ways to get around the game easier. Well if you played it properly and didn’t look for faults you might be able to enjoy for what it is and that is a “Game”. It’s data programmed on a disc, live with it.

  27. matt says:

also can someone explain something to me. IN interviews, wikipedia and other sources he (seabass) mentions the ps3 will have 16 directions using the d-pad. How is this possible?!?!?! I can only see 8 possible directions. I’ve read its something to do with pressure and can’t figure how we’d use this efficiently. Anyone have any ideas?

  28. Simon McDermott says:

That looks hell of a lot better than the Gamescom vids, perhaps I jumped the gun a bit.

Good job Konami and Pesgaming, looks like Pes is back on track.

  29. lutongooner says:

To matt, I have always thought that the Dual-Shock pads had some sort of pressure sensitivity so I dont see this being a problem. However, I am concerned about both games this year trying 360 dribbling for the first time. I have always been a d-pad man and if there are any slight issues with it, it will completely ruin my enjoyment of the game/s and will give a huge advantage to A-stick users in online play. I was playing Fifa09 for 2 months with analogue (didnt know you could change) and still couldn’t get used to the thing.

  30. Suck My Seabass says:

Looks niiiice… even if the gusy playing it have never played a PES before.

  31. Leeus says:

Poor… same old half arsed stuff.. it seems the only way they can make the game remotely difficult is to restrict the movement of your players and make your AI team mates utterly useless. They are too interested in graphics and renaming the same old outdated game engine. They just incredibly lazy.

  32. DNG says:

Looks better than last year’s pes… But still looks worse than fifa09…..and it’s trying desperately to imitate fifa……….Pes is dying

  33. PETEC says:

    ….and the difference is?

  34. Ando says:

For those who are not sure whether this is PES 10 or PES 09, i suggest u look at the fan crowd, and it is in 3D mode. So this video is PES 2010. Anyway there’s one magazine rate PES this year is better than FIFA. But don’t really trust that magazine yet because last year there’s also a magazine and other review say PES 09 is better than FIFA, but end up we still losing.
