Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH today announced it will release a free demo of its forthcoming PES 2011 on September 15th, with subscribers to SCEE’s PS+ service able to play the demo from September 8th.
The demo will be available for PlayStation(R)3 via PlayStation(R)Network with a PC version available from www.konami-pes2011.com. The download will enable fans to play against the computer or offline multi-player matches with a choice of four clubs: either FC Barcelona and FC Bayern Munich or Copa Libertadores pair Chivas Guadalajara and Internacional. A video presentation is also included outlining the full game’s content in readiness of the game’s UK launch on October 8th 2010.
A release date for the Xbox 360 demo via Xbox Live Arcade will be announced shortly.

Someone sharp eyed poster on WENB pointed out that one of the licenses announced this week could possibly be another league because one of the Trophies/Achievements is….

….then they pointed out they’ve only really ‘announced’ 5 leagues (England , France, Spain, Italy, Netherlands).
Of course it may just be that – of the 42 South American teams – some make up the entire teams in 1 countries top league. So it could just be that countries league they announce, or it’ll probably be another league added!….

This is also true about consoles. I loved my Xbox, but I got bored of it. Needed a newer, younger model. Then along came the PS3, and I’ve been in a trusting, loving relationship ever since. Just knowing I will come home from work without thinking shes gonna have a red ring is so much better. Knowing my credit card ain’t taking a hammering on rip off accessories is a relief. And my new console Is so quiet and pretty compared to the ex, i’m a new man.
You Xbox only fans, please don’t stay in this destructive, monogomous relationship any longer. Kick it to the kerb and start to live your life again with a console you can trust, that won’t let you down or rip you off. There is hope for you sad cases, but you gotta open your eyes and let in the love.

Cheers for the heads up but my old missus (xbox 360) treats me good although she’s a bit emotional and breakes down now and then.. I wouldn’t change her for the world because she brings me joy everynight or any night I choose and cheers me up when I’m down or bored..
I wouldn’t go for your new chick (ps3) because although she can handle some large storage.. ;) The grass isn’t always greener especially as she takes too long to get ready for play time.

In the two years ive owned it, ive only had a problem with overheating and that was due to dust and the way it was positioned against a wall. Plus the money it costs for the x box live service would have meant that i would have to pay more over the same two year period and that’s assuming the xbox was still working! When will microsoft invest a few million into building a decent console, i’m sure bill won’t notice it missing!!

as for the penalty system not being changed murphy said on his twatter that the view had been changed back to behind the player taking the penalty. if this turns out to be a lie (soon find out come demo) murphy can stick pes up his arse. not because of some trivial penalty view but because he outright lied to us AGAIN!

This delay on xbox 360 demo news does not even make sense. If Sony has an exclusive deal with KONAMI to release the demo on the 8th exclusively for ps3 users, then they would surely at least advertise this as a considerable bonus for buying a ps3 (among other things, of course).
For me it looks like xbox live gold members and ps+ members will get the demo on the 8th, while silver xbox live members and normal psn members will be able to download the demo on the 15th.
I buy both every year but i end up kicking pes out my window!! so i hope this year really is different.hoppe they bring back the ability to mix and match kits or boot editor.

@ Terry Tibbs i own both consoles (had the PS3 since day one) well all 3 if you count the wii and for me xbox wins hands down on the features i want i only really use the PS3 as a blu ray player.
heres why – facts and not opinoun:
Online – Xbox wins – yeah you might have to pay a bit each year but it is head and soulders above the PS3 on the online side of things
Exclusive games – Draw they both have equally as good games
Games – xbox wins due to 90% games being ported from an xbox to the PS3
Console Features – PS3 wins quite easily it is a better media extender has blu ray and also can surf the internet
Controller – This has a bit to do with prefrance but hardcore gamers and experts think that the 360 controller is better designed in layout and for comfort
Inovation – Both companies always copy nintendo but out of sony and microsoft – microsoft seem to put there own take on it more than sony do they practically follow contollers motion tec to the point of nintendo having a spy from sony in there ranks

If I want to dl the free demos and check which 1 if any are anygood on whatever console I want I will. Who said that I will be playing them both at the same time. If you like football games and you own both consoles and there are demos that are free you would be stupid to not see if 1 game plays different than the other.

I’d ignore the review score as its obviously written by a FIFA fan. Seeing as some reviews claimed that FIFA2010 was:
‘the best football game ever’
its not really surprising that they would say this about 2011.
When they say ‘last year’s excellent entry’ it says a lot about their opinions. I play FIFA2010 a lot and excellent isnt a word I word use. I would more describe it as ok, mainly because it works online.
They haven’t mentioned if they have fixed the jostling system. One of the many game breakers. It turns the beautiful game into a game of rugby. You don’t see pushing, barging and grappling anywhere near that much in real life. It should mostly be in 50/50 challenges and during corners and set plays (one place where it doesn’t happen in FIFA). Modern footballers go to ground when they feel any sort of contact. Unfortunately something that would give a freekick and possibly a booking in real life, is the way to win the ball in FIFA.
All consoles have their place. It depends on what appeals to you. The PS3′s Achilles heal is that it is too difficult to program for, otherwise it would easily take the crown.
