Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH has released a huge update for PES 2012 for iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad and Android devices, which adds the South American Copa Libertadores competition and updates the team rosters for the full game.
The download allows users to play matches within the Copa Libertadores competition for the first time. All 38 South American teams can be selected, and the DLC also offers a Copa-branded stadium, the official anthem, players and trophy. The Copa add-on can also be added to the existing free PES 2012 demo for just 1,59 Euro. KONAMI has also used the download to bring the team rosters for the game completely up to date, and is free to all users.

Anyway……continuing on from earlier posts and thoughts I have made in varied posts I’ll add this here……
As most know I’m not happy with the direction of PES particularly in terms of advancements in certain modes like ‘The Master League’ I have felt a more sandbox experience should be incorporated by now however that aside it has made me investigate whether other sports games have ever gone down that route before and I can’t seem to find any? I also can’t even find other soccer games apart from Konami, Fifa or Championship Manager type ones which really is disgraceful there doesn’t even seem to be any other soccer games in development?? Perhaps I’m not searching in the right places so if anyone knows of any please fill me in.
What I have discovered is a Facebook game which I never knew existed called ‘I am Playr’ Although that game is very different it does kind of bring a more realistic feel to a possible Master League/Become a Legend scenario in PES,…don’t get me wrong I’m not advocating real footage with actors or stars but more the options, atmosphere, and locations this game provides in order to make you feel like your a Professional football player. Instead I would have fully animated areas where you can roam about freely consisting of rooms in your football club, press areas, Niteclubs, your home, or even friends/Girlfriends apartments. Discovering I am Playr and its success has also compounded and sured up my belief that a much more interactive realistic Master League/BAL in PES would be hugely welcomed and personally I think thats where Konami should be taking on FIFA not with the gameplay. Yes the gameplay needs real improvements but Konami are never going to make revolutionary alterations enough in this to retake the crown from FIFA. They need to focus in the other areas.
