Great we can now post unto Facebook from the game?? just what I was waiting for Lol
Messing aside this trailer offers very little, unless you get excited by new menu pages. First up looks like the training segment which was said to be put in this year to get people up to speed with the new gameplay looks like just an expansion of last year’s challenge Thingy even the text looks the same. Then it was online modes which basically were a series of cut scenes of menu pages which mean’t very little to me, the only thing that I think will please is that it looks like you can now pick an area where you want to play online. MyPES like I joked earlier has Facebook… Wow! And finally the mode I was most interested in seeing something from ‘Football Life’ and what do we get? We see menu pages from where they have combined the points shop to the training..they don’t even show footage of your players using these items that you purchase…I just think if they are going to have items such as weights, keepy uppy balls or cycling machines wouldn’t you want to use these items with the player you selected? Instead it looks like it will be a picture of the item and your player’s stats will improve in whatever area the item enhances…how boring is that? Here’s hoping the next trailers are more exciting than this

The highlight for me is that they are rewarding players online for playing against opponents with a similar level of team. That’s really going to improve the whole online experience in my opinion (Barca Boys beware).
PS – MYPES was already linked to facebook (that’s what it is, a link to facebook). They’re just adding a ton of new stats to it.
These things are not worth a trailer.
Okay that just shows what interest I had in ‘myPES’ in 2012 lol so you can now imagine my excitement at that ton of new stats that was apparently in that trailer. ;) Being honest as a grown man of my years I think I would be quite embarrassed to be exercising my bragging rights on Facebook which is why it doesn’t appeal to me…. I actually can’t believe they added this to a trailer particularly now that I’m aware Facebook was already implemented previously .(thanks for the info Dave btw) Fair enough in adding these new stats but really should it have got a slot in a new trailer?

Yep the old nets react much better when the ball connects… I think they should be a mixture of varied nets in the game by now… It completely fathoms me on why they remove things like this in the first place?
@James Goblin… awesome vid. Never heard of Football kingdom. Looks very simialr to PES on PS2 days. How awesome was that game play. The passing, running, through balls, shooting etc was so fluid and realistic.

I came across Football Kingdom by accident. I have never played it but I love the way the players move, the net physics and the variety of goals one is able to score.
Now here we are, many years later and the ‘best’ football game out there can’t top a PS2 game in several departments. It saddens me :(
@ i Hate barca boys – I’m not sure of all the details, but at the very least MLO will be better. Maybe it will roll into regular online as well? At least it shows they are aware of the mismatch issue, but you would think that online it would be sorted for regular matches as well…
@ Lucifer – I’m not saying MYPES is a great feature, but if you use it you’ll see it isn’t really for bragging on facebook. It can be if you want, but it’s just for stats collecting really.

dont hate barca boys or realmadrid boys, you can choose any team you want why not choose them if you like the team……the fact is that online and partly the PES 12 defence controls were to blame……it annoys me that i cant defend against messi or ronaldo not that the player has chosen that team.
Most top teams have 1-2 gifted players like rooney, van der vaart…robben…..ribery etc the new defence system in pes 13 has been amended…if it works then i cant wait to master it and stop then good players from playing cos it used to be fun doing that.
its sad that you blame a barca fan when you get beat…its the game that wasnt quite upto scatch in the defence department….are they supposed to choose ado den haag just so you can beat them…get a grip
its the repetition of having to play against barca that annoys.

Lol. it didn’t necessarily have to be taking a little PES man cycling in a gym Open world style though I think that would be great and where eventually I believe these games are going to go to but they could at least have created a quick animation showing whatever player you picked using a cycling machine in a gym or out in a training field with that keepy uppy ball. The option I thought they would go with now was that you pick your player that you want using a cycling machine and then the game goes to a training area where you have to mash buttons on the controller to get him to train up to a next level like loads of other games do. Basically you have to put a bit of work and effort into the training of your players which can have the result of caring more about players in your team particularly new young players but alas it appears Konami have gone the lazy route and it’s just more text with a picture of the item

@ Micky P…..Well said mate! I despise those players that hate on Barca or Madrid. Its not the team that wins the match its the player behind the controller. It has always been this way in PES. Learn how to use secondary pressure, jockey and try to improve your reading of the game it will enable you to read the dribblers movements as well as passes, if you do this you will be able to stop Messi etc.
People whine about the Barcas where they should jack up their game. If you cannot defend properly against these players it means you not good enough yet. Go train.

I hate barca boys because im getting bored and quite frankly had enough of playing barcelona and real Madrid every single match.. Its probably irrelevant but im on 673 points who said anything about losing to them?? I personally find it too easy to pass to Ronaldo and messi etc and let them win matches for me , I get no joy out of that..obviously picking a lesser team is a mismatch.. how many teams are there on pes ? But every time its barca or real, same old tactics people use , where’s the enjoyment in that…konami should introduce a new system to introduce teams, why not?? there getting wasted..the best matches i have played online are with the small/mid teams as it shows your real ability more tactical awareness and skill involved then just passing it to your super players . you probably different to me but I find it so much enjoyable grinding out a 1nil win playing teams such as wigan v Blackburn or Everton v Aston villa hope you catch my drift..

you can do nothing regarding that issue and neither can konami.
while barca and real are the best teams in the world people are going to choose them cos they have alot of fans……you cannot do much about that. You may aswell get used to it unless they suddenly go bust like pompey and disappear down the leagues nothing is going to change.
I agree with “i HATE Barca BOys.” I don’t buy the “fans” argument. If you check in the game who the listed “favourite team” is of the players who use Barca all the time, I’m sure less than half of them are Barca fans. I also disagree about needing to play more to be able to beat them. The point is, a lot of people using Barca employ cheap tactics with them, and with the likes of Messi if you keep using those tactics over and over again then eventually the cpu will decide for you that Messi burnt you (nothing you can do as a defender). It’s just cheap, and poor sportsmanship on the part of the apparent Barca fans, not the fault of the player who has the common decency not to choose the best team all the time.
@DOUGIE, DAN, et al – I think this site should have a “+1″ option, or a thumbs up/thumbs down option. I like the anonymity, and the freedom to speak you mind on this board, but lately I just can’t be bothered trying to explain to someone why I think they are off the deep end with their comment(s). Adding this feature would be a great addition to what PESGAMING offers in my opinion.
@ Micky P – i disagree there is alot konami can do eradicate this issue..
when you start a game you can select which league you want to participate in ie Spanish league only or premier league only – like the way they do it for the countries only option.
they can categorise each team so people who choose Barca ie super teams should be rewarded for example 5 points whereas if you choose a small team you get 15 point this will help reduce the number of people choosing the barca/real

A thumbs up thumbs down system would be a bad idea on a site like this in my opinion….. I could think of nothing worse if your having a debate and the same motley crew coming on thumbing down different ideas or views that they do not share. It would just be a way to stigmatise certain comments which expresses differing perspectives. Surely if you feel strongly enough to pick a thumbs down or thumbs up you could very easily just post a reply saying “I disagree” or “I agree” ……..to top it all off too it would just be abused, there is loads of trolls that come here that have numerous names some even let on to be other posters, these would just abuse a system like this

get rid of the barca boys !!!! and of course if i go to choose a lower national team, where do they go ?? either argentina or brazil !! …f*ckin ridiculous !!! … and ‘Mickey P’ what r u even talking about ?? i got the defensive controls mastered, as do most players who r against you barca boys…. its the repitition of playing the same super teams over and over that kills the whole experience!!! …i would write so much more, but it’s just too frustrating…and yess there are resolutions to this mess, as i hate to say, but fifa has it figured out….but i wont even go into that…

However i feel konami don’t care , it seems they are content with letting Fifa dominate the scene, look at the changes we are begging them to make very simple and logical features , and they still fail to implement it . One can tell this game has lost it edge , people really aren’t excited , except for the hardcore fans , many have converted to Fifa , i enjoy fifa , it might be predictable but i relate to it , in all my years of playing football fifa is the closest to actual real life game. Pes just don’t get it , last year the goalies were terrible , just imagine have a terrible goalkeeper in your team , and they knew it and released the ****ing game, the shooting was off . One thing i hate the most about Pes is players can’t tackle , if fifa a player can rap his legs around you and win the ball , where as Pes they try to poke the ball, why do you think messi and ronaldo are unstoppable , in fifa you can’t just pick up the sticks and dribble with messi , he moves like messi but you actually takes a lot of practice , as they have a very good tackling system . Another confession in konami i’ve never used the trick button s cause i don’t need it all i have to do is run by a defender. however in Fifa it is essential to at least have a trick or two , because those defenders are serious. Pes fans should keep being delusional and say konami has a better gameplay , believe Fifa know that and are working on it , its only a matter of time
I play with Barca and other “Super Teams” because of the FACT that when two super teams clash you are guaranteed a tops turvy affair with plenty of chances being created. I find that when one plays with the smaller teams more often than not the game becomes a scrap because of the passing accuracy, shot accuracy etc of the players. We all know the shooting system isnt the best and it becomes worst with these players at your disposal.
I recently won a Onlyproevolution.com tournament and we were only allowed to play with Asian National teams. The football was disgusting. 90% of my opponents complained after the match about their team. PES is high octane fun football. Playing with the big teams makes the match so much more intense and it requires you to focus every second of the match. I always try and choose a normal team first but I do not mind playing the cheat MLO team. The games are RAW-KUS!!! I am sure Micky P plays with the supers for these same reasons.
What I hate more than Barca boys are: (3 categories)
COWARDS: Those players that are in D1 but only vs D4s and D5s in order to milk them for points. And they avoid the D1 players coz they scared of losing their points. I target D1 players because I am in D1 and I want to test myself against the best.
****S: Those players that rely on the online games flaws where you can leave the free kick to the CPU.
: Those players that use time wasting tactics (passing at the back) if you wanna time waste do it legally. Run down the wing and hold it up there. Plus those players that only triple tap cross.
CHEATS: Self-explanatory.

@ Brotherhoodza – What about when I choose a mid table or lower ranked team and then my opponent chooses Barca? You can’t make that argument then. Anyway, I realize you’re only talking about yourself, but there are many, many, lame little kiddies out there who only ever choose a top side, and not for the reasons you are claiming. Obviously there are legions of people annoyed by this because it’s a common complaint that you’ll see on just about any PES related forum. Also, we’re not saying that measures should be taken to make it so that you can’t have two top teams play online. There are lots of ways of fixing the problem and obviously the best solution would be one which allows us to play whatever match we want, but curbs this problem so that more people can enjoy the game. You’re not wrong, but I think you need to recognize the fact that most people playing the game want this problem addressed.
PS – Maybe we need a poll about this! Ha ha… (I know… I’m about to get bashed for saying that by all the poll haterz, but I think it would be interesting to see the results).
I’m a Leeds fan but as they not in game always do random select, played barca loads of times sometimes I enjoy it sometimes not. It should be frustrating playing against barca cos it is in real life.
I would suggest don’t think about the team you’re playing and just concentrate on you’re game you bunch of moaners lol sorry but there us a lot of miserable people on here. konami stop letting people choose good teams I want to play pub footy or i’m going to cry

for me random games online is random games online…….most people are choosing barca so in a random game you have got a good chance of getting barca more times than not.
do konami want to make a barca fan feel like they shudnt be choosing barca so not to offend people online not looking to play that team
is it fare that if you choose barca you dont get to play lower teams…..why hate barca players…..they get low or no points for a win against a lower team so its there call, where as if you win them with a lesser team you get a bunch of points.
my point was to make the game fairer to defend against the star players as this seemed to be an issue with pes12, i know rafeeq who is praying for me, ‘dont waste your time i am beyond redemption’ … says he has mastered the defending in pes 12 but i find it hit and miss and a bit scripted…people may not choose the best teams as a rule if they new that messi..ronaldo etc could be stopped by a good pes player and it was more about skill in playing the game.
is it fair that ‘Dougiedonut’ says im wrong…completely wrong! do all players in div 1 choose barca or real. ive played teams in all divisions and people choose barca in div 5. my point is that konami need to stop online cheating and make the gameplay balanced as hoping for in pes 13. i want to be able to put up a good challenge against any team with any team.
This was why pes 06 was good, you could master defending and would enjoy playing the bigger teams with a smaller team cos the gameplay was balanced…this is my point make the game fair and balanced and you will not care as much who you play and the players who choose the super teams will maybe choose a lesser team when they cant skip thru 4 players with messi without been good at the game.
should we be copying fifa, lets do what fifa are doing i think is a bad idea. just ‘buy fifa’ if you like that game.
