Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH today announced it will release the first playable demo of its eagerly-awaited PES 2013 title on July 25th in Europe.
The free demo will be available for PlayStation(R)3 via PlayStation(R)Network, Xbox 360(R) via Xbox(R)LIVE and Windows PC via ‘www.konami-pes2013.com’.
PES 2013 marks a huge advance for the popular football simulation, with the new game offering PES FullControl wherein players are given total control over every pass, shot and even first touches to the ball. Similarly, Pro-Active AI ensures that players move as they should both on and off the ball, creating a truly authentic big match experience. The Player ID system then enhances the feeling of individuality, with players that not only look and move like their real life counterparts, but also play just like them.
The first demo will allow users to experience these key additions at first hand, and features eight fully licensed teams. Germany, England, Portugal, and Italy showcase European football, while Santos FC, SC International, Fluminense and Flamengo Flamengo are available in the Copa Libertadores mode.
In order to experience the full gamut of control PES 2013 offers the demo allows any difficulty setting to be used, and boasts localised language settings.

SWEET!!! On my holidays next week.
I bet it’s another disappointment. However will try the demo and Fifas and will probably buy both and be disappointed with both……..again…..
@Rapid….Playing the demo with that mentality is not gonna help you enjoy the demo. Go in with an open mind
Definitely will check it out too….here’s hoping
@Rapid
You are a full of what? Why you buy this crap?? Don’t you understand that buying **** will only make them more of the same ****?? Damn!! Now I understand why video game makers are producing one crapy title after another – it’s because of peaople like you!!
Don’t hate the players, hate the game.
Oh well, whatever. Nevermind.
Pes12 is my favourite pes and the first demo was up there with perfect striker on the n64.
If they introduce a manual crossing and shooting system as well as a trap mechanic as well as curl and improved ai then it will be perfect irrespective of the animation system…..what,that’s what’s planned for pes2013,then why the negativety.
If konami can nail the gameplay this year which is close in pes2012…then with a new engine next year it’s all gravy.
Despite pes12 shortcomings it’s only a edition away from genius!!
@sweetdisposition, well said, pes 2012 was by far the best pes, (imo) a few tweaks here and there and it should be very good indeed, i am looking forward to the demo, if by any chance the demo doesn’t blow us away that’s fine, like last year Konami will be releasing 2 demos, the first one last year was pretty iffy and left me wondering what the hell they had done, when the 2nd demo arrived i was mightily releaved to see they had sorted the problems of the first demo out, this year should be the same, promising times.
Pes 12 was thee worst Pes in the history of football games, what thee point in playing a football game where Pes golies make Tabia look like a world class golie, Football Italia 90 > Pes 12, sum it up.
Learn to spell you thick knob
I checked out that tottenham has signed up with FIFA, which means we are in line for a new english team…
Man city, Arsenal, chelsea and afew others are already contracted to FIFA. So I’m thinking Liverpool might be the new team.
Any ideas?
Anyone know what time the demo will be made available. Hopefully won’t have to wait all day wednesday for it.
In Ireland.
And also hopefully us Xbox owners will see demo 1 this year. Last year was a joke. A ‘reputable’ company like konami not having the code up to Microsoft standards was pretty embarrassing for them
With open arms and open heart, I am welcome PES 2013 into my life.
Talk is cheap, let wait and see how it works on the pitch.
@dennisBergkamp10 : It doesn’t really matter who the licensed teams are. Just stick a patch on the game and play with every team and player having the correct name, and graphics.
Sounds good ! Can’t wait !
@Goal, the demo usually arrives on psn around 4.00pm
Hi im new to pes..i look forward your advice
Every time i play against any team they beat me the same way everytime!!!
i lose the ball they counter for some reason my whole defence is on the half way line, they play long through ball and run through to score..
Why my defence play so high ?? When i change settings to deep line – i encounter the same problem people use Ronaldo and messi and pato to run through ny defence and score its so easy!!
What can i do to have my defence deep when i lose the ball please help me..
@ Bebe – look at your attack/defence levels. They have a huge effect on the game. Set them to manual, and control them yourself on the fly. Never trust the CPU to control them for you. Generally I keep the setting to the middle level, and sometimes down to two bars when I want to be more defensive, but if you set it higher that can lead to the defence getting caught out (and if you aren’t controlling them yourself, the CPU will tend to be too aggressive). Also, use “standard” tactics for the rest just to be sure you haven’t buggered up the formation with some strange setting, like being too compact or pressing too much or something. Also, buy better defenders with high defence, teamwork, etc. and who aren’t too offensive-minded. The “covering” card is also nice to have in defenders, because if there is a hole left by a team-mate your defender will fill in the hole so you’re not left exposed. My sidebacks are usually CBs with high defensive ratings (who can play sideback), and have the covering card, so you don’t get caught open in the middle. Using CBs as SBs gives you the bonus as well of having an extra player who can play CB if your main CBs form is bad. By the way, also try to not play defenders on a down arrow, obviously… Do all this and you should be fine ;)
@Dave O… thanks
that’s reminds me When I choose deep defensive line my player support level is usually very high when I play,so maybe this can cause my defenders moving forward to half way line??
when I push forward and lose the ball I rather by two defensive midfielders to be in position to win the ball back but constantly find my whole defence being outdone by one long through ball agains a pacey striker/winger…what is best formation to stop this or settings?
buy defenders? Sorry im only playing online not MLO
Anyone know when the demo will be available in Australia since the article stated 25th in Europe???
@Ziggy it will most likely be the 25th in Oz too, if they get it in the UK in the morning then we will get it in the evening
Thank you konami for the early demo.
@Dave o
After a handful of games I come to realise I matter what formation or settings you choose this is will also happen to all teams
@ Bebe – Keep working on it. I have my team on MLO set up now so that this can basically never happen, but I definitely hear you, I had that problem until I started to make said adjustments. Do you understand what I mean by attack/defense levels? Also, are you holding the “pressing” and “pressing assist” buttons all the time? Doing this brings defenders forward too.
Lastly, don’t use the quick counter-attack strategy or high “pressing” level (slider).
And don’t give up!
PS – I get by nicely with only one DMF. I play a standard diamond 4-4-2.
@Paul2478… thanks buddy. Can’t wait to try it out…
I hope that Konami does not disappoint me again

I can’t imagine it’s easy to be excited and change six different streams of income.
It’s taken you at least a year just to fill your question of involving investors in builds this includes the emulator.
