For me its really sounds arcadey, it rings of power ups using magic super boots that can change a player once assigned or unassigned….its so unrealistic!
Its a very Japanese style development in my opinion, its like an RPG feature or something in a Pokemon game.
Also I get the feeling that Konami decided to keep any info on this quiet purposely because there had a fair idea it may not go down well in other parts of the world and reviews would reflect it by focusing on it rather than their gameplay….
BTW The release date for PES 2013 will apparently be announced on Friday
having played the game for three days now i conclude that’s better than 2012 but it still lacks some realism
ex; i m messi and i m some 10 metres ahead of arbeloa but he still gets me and just pushes me away and the cpu gets the ball.. on the other hand an average player like pizzaro is in the same situation and there is no point that i ( jordi alba) can prevent him to run towards the goal an score.. so the AI is still biased and favor the cpu.. another point is that the refereeing is horrible.. the cpu gets 10 fouls on average and the player get maybe 2 the whole game.. the referee favors the cpu
in my opinion these are the main points that have to be fixed ( there are also some small ones indeed :) )
Ya. It is an arcadey Japanese addition. I think konami wanted to get rid of Pes shop for some reason and this new addition is a way of a compensation, albeit unwanted!
They should’ve just got rid if the Pes shop. And above all, they should’ve consulted with the fans.
I am a little bit annoyed by this new addition, but at the same time I can’t wait for the full game and the release date announcement on Friday .

I’ve been reading alot about manual v assisted passing but why don’t they do this-
Have a Vision attribute simple!
eg Pirlo high vision sees and uses passing channels and lanes others can’t !
ISS had vision attribute for players like Zidane,why not have it now!

I just realised, I downloaded the American PES demo2 to get it early. What is the European Demo like?

I do wonder was this something that was requested within Japan because I do believe that their home fanbase is the most important thing to them?
What worries me in the long term however is…is this a start of a different direction that will be built on into the Next Gen consoles no matter how unhappy we say we are with it? ….If it is the case Konami are more likely to implement a ‘Switch it off’ option to appease us Western fans rather than change direction which still bothers me because it just slows down if not halts development in the Master League
Utterly disappointed, it feels like a DLC from PES2012 with updated rosters (probably incorrect ones as usual) to me.
Way too arcadey and clunky for me, I really don’t see how you can get away with that in the year 2012.
Where a where is that “wow” feeling, that unpredictability and “just one more game” feeling form yesteryears.. :(
FIFA is far, FAR from perfect but unless something really strange happens when the final games come out, I will take FIFA hands down, KONAMI has just let me down but then again: hardly unexpectedly….

Demo 2 is awesome but shooting in demo 1 is way better.
Soz,I think there is a vision attribute in the player cards but I’m not 100% sure.
@ Big G – “Better” does not equal “easier.” Demo 2 is way more realistic. Ever watch football? Not every shot is a rocket.
thats right Dave O,the game is more realistic,to me everything depends on the conditions of which the players and the games is played,you may want a rocket of a shot,but get a flop instead,thats how football is sometimes.2013 is a dam good game

After enough time with both demos, I have a feeling FIFA will be miles better. And i’m almost positive FIFA won’t be good.
