My Top 5 Editing Improvements

Hi guys, first off I would like to apologize for my lack of posts over the last few months. My option file commitments along with things outside of PES have limited my time, but now I have spent 100′s of hours in edit mode I thought I would share what I think are the top 5 things needed to be improved for PES 2015 for edit mode in no particular order. There are lots of great things that have been added this year, but these things would make it even better.

Team Emblems

This is something that comes up every year, every year the number of emblems gets increased, but so does the number of teams that need one. Please, please, please make the number unlimited, or at the very least make there enough for every unlicensed/fake team.

Kits

This year has seen a great advancement in the detail that can be included in kits, however improvements can be made. First up being able to add detail to more of the kits through PNG’s is great, but it would be so much easier if you could load one PNG containing all parts of the kit in one, rather than loading in each part separately. The other thing I would like to see is the ability to add detail to the back of the shirt and shorts as well as the sock image to cover the back in the same way the sleeves do.

Remove the limits

Again like the emblems this has been something I & many of you have wanted for a long time. In the days of large hard drives why are we limited to 600 kits? This is especially annoying now that it is possible to add up to 5 kits per team. It would also be nice to have unlimited slots for created players.

Don’t make anything uneditable

This is something that arose last year, but is even worse this year. There are fake teams that are hidden away in the game that appear when you play ML or BAL, last year it was 4 teams, but this year it is more than 40 (43 or 44 from memory). Last year with the ability to use PC editing tools this could be rectified, but this year at the moment this is not possible.

Base copy

This year base copy wasn’t available initially, but was brought back with a patch. In terms of editing it no longer works the way it used to, but rather than bring it back the way it was I propose a better solution. All preset hairstyles (and maybe faces) should be able to be added to any player in edit mode. They are already there so it shouldn’t be a issue to be able to select them.

Those are my top 5, but there many other things I would like to see like the return of the stadium editor. What are your thoughts?

Thanks for reading, Paul

How about they fix the gameplay before they think about fixing stuff in edit mode

@Lolo My main interests with PES are editing & BAL so that is what I write about. I leave it to the others to discuss the gameplay ;)

What about a boot/ball creator rather than the trashy green/red/blue balls they have given this year? In all my years of watching football I have never seen any league use a green ball. Where is a yellow one? Also stadium editor needs to be returned desperately!

Yup, editing is what keeps PES alive. Removing editing possibilities means the death of PES. They should improve editing and even make an online or misteriously encourage a website to host fans creations, like FIFA. So, adding teams, players, balls and boots becomes easier ! Unlimited slots or something like 999999 for almost anything is fans wet dream for a long time, especially for adding new teams and leagues to the game :)

@Rob A boot/ball editor would be a great inclusion, especially if it was done using a PNG like the kits. Stadium editor I have been told will be returning & was only removed this year as it was too buggy in the new engine. We need it more than ever now the number of IG stadiums is so low.

@jimmy You only need to look at the forums to see how true that is.Uploading creations directly through the game is a great idea & something I’ve never thought of. Again I totally agree with no limits, I think it would be hard to have unlimited leagues (although it would be nice to have more), but if there was the option for unlimited teams you could just replace all the teams in a league then rename it to play a completely different league.

This year has seen an improvement with kit editing ie shorts/socks being editable, but, I agree with other posts that there is still room for improvement. Maybe even a net editor to go along with a stadium editor, This year people have criticised Pes14 claiming it is unplayable, I disagree with that as my favourite was Pes11 but this game makes that look clunky, Every Pes game has had issues but at least this year we have a stand alone Champions/Europa league and of course a return of the domestic league, One final point, Pes does have problems but even so it’s still better than soul-less Fifa,

After reading all sorts of different negative reviews about PES 2014 am definitely not buying a football game this year. Am tired of Konami always making the same goddamn mistakes year in year out…they take 3 steps forward and 5 steps backwards, this becoming annoying. Its about time they started improving on the PES series without making any subtractions to the already positive things people love about the series. No matter how much they will pretend,PES is not free and in fact its one of the few most expensive games on the market. With that said let them start amending their mistakes. For example, why would remove the stadium editor at a time when almost all the licenced in-game stadiums from last year`s series have been removed? beats me!!!! Sometimes I even wonder if they even know why people buy the PES series…the fact that now they are restricting on how much things we can edit on the game is really pushing their own luck. Its either, they buy the licences or dont restrict edit mode. I understand that EA keeps buying all the other licences and making them exclusive to the FIFA series but the only way they can beat them is to listen to us PES fans and apply the small things we keep complaining about year in year out. Gosh!!!! I had to get dat out of my chest.

Why don’t we talk about the real issues here:

Our franchise is dying. Its on it’s last knees.
