PES 2013 Teaser ‘Trailer’

It seems like an eternity since PES 2012 graced our store shelves and consoles. Indeed, in that time major developments in the world of video gaming has occurred. GAME stores closing, the PS Vita and several large gaming companies making huge cuts have all come and gone since October, and although only 7 months ago, PES 2012 is beginning to feel that little bit ‘dated’.

So hold onto your hats, because Jon Murphy, (Mr. PES for Europe) has tweeted a link to what can only be described as an underwhelming teaser trailer for the first PES 2013 trailer, set to land Tuesday 24th April.

The taster 30 second video shows Cristiano Ronaldo, well, not doing much to be honest! It can be viewed at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m2WGpOAdBt0&feature=youtu.be

Your views to what might be the strangest piece of Konami marketing in recent history are welcomed below.

Wow thats really early considering pes releases around october ish?

all the hype, suspense and excitement around pes2013 is about to start – only to be let down, fooked off and shouting obscenties at konami and seabass at your Telly!!! Oh yes the joy i cant fooking wait!!

But PLEASE PLEASE SORT THE ONLINE OUT Ie BARCA BOYS

Im FED up playing againt Barca or REal Madrid all the fooking time.
Konami really need to restructure this system and introduce lesser sides or stop people going BArca/Real by awarding fewer points or so and more points for small teams .
Its not about losing or winning for me its getting boring too repetitive and too easy passing to messi and ronaldo !! i dont have the same mentality of a youth where its win at all costs and picking the best players -playing with the smaller teams its a different ball game its bring out your true ability as a pes player and much more enjoyable.

I liked the teaser and didn’t find it strange at all. It’s a message… Talk is cheap, what happens on the pitch is what matters. For what it is (a teaser) I don’t think it’s poor at all. It promises that what is to come will speak for itself, so it’s actually quite powerful IMO.

  3. abuzer says:

Itis agood game and thank for you

  4. pes 2013 says:

burst my ass laughing… ok it took us six months to make that, oops we better start on the actual game now… how long do we have left???… oh thats ok, lets take pes 2012, add some pumpkin heads and sell it again as 2013. SORTED

    Dave O……………………………….ur an idiot

  5. Dundon's says:

    This game looks unbelievable.

  6. Dave O says:

PES 2013 – Uh… All you’ve just proven is that you know nothing about marketing or games. It’s really a pre-teaser, but if you seriously think the comments you are making are true, I need only point out that you haven’t seen the game yet! And you call me an idiot???? BTW – I’m not saying the game is going to be amazing, because I know nothing about it, but at least I’m not full of it and jumping to conclusions (which is the definition of stupidity IMO).

  7. Seabass Out says:

History tell us Pes 13 will b crap.

  8. Pes 2013 says:

Just takin the p*ss bud. Oh course i know thats not the case.. chill

  9. Pes 2013 says:

…but there’s just too much proof from past instances :(

  10. Dave O says:

Good on ya then, but you certainly sounded serious and you resorted to childish namecalling for no good reason so obviously it’s you who needs to take a pill. Anyway, that the past has been disappointing is just your opinion… Personally I’m still playing PES 2012, but hoping to hear about some big improvements of course. The main thing I want to see is more control, so that the player’s skill can have more impact on the outcome of matches. For example, if you are playing someone who is continually trying to exploit some aspect of the game, say spamming the wings and crossing ad noseum, there should be more that you can do about it, if you know exactly what he’s trying to do. Creativity and balanced play should be more rewarded and spamming/exploitation less effective.

    @Seabass Out

So you thought PES 2012 was crap and you think PES 13 will be crap. Maybe you shouldn’t buy the game anymore or come to this web site. It would save you a lot of time and money that you could spend on something else that isn’t “crap”. Those of us who do not think that PES is “crap”, and enjoy it, come here to for the latest, news, etc. See how that works? When I think something is awful, I ignore it, don’t buy it, don’t care about it.

  12. prolethal says:

I believe that Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 from Konami was a Fail.
PES 2012 has had little animations between players impact, and something that is so anoyng is how the players hit the ball, often from different parts of the stadium which, in reality, is just simply impossible, and something that PES doesn’t want for many years to fix, are the invisible walls, I expected more from them, but they do not listen to their fans…….
I hope they will not make that mistake too with PES 2013…………….
p.s. sorry for my english :D

  13. Seabass Out says:

    Demetri
My opinion, Pes 12 is a complete mess, every aspect of the game is shocking, Golies awful, auto crossing, shooting assisted, tackling 2 weak, refs 2 fussy, commentary shocking, online mlo cheaters, i could keep going, etc, worst pes ever made, 1st pes that I got rid of coz it made 4 kids pes 12, just an assisted game, + so many major flaws.
Pes 11 was good, so they had a good platform 2 build from, so Pes 12 should of been great, instead they completely went in a different direction, & destroy Pes.

    @Seabass Out

I misunderstood. I thought that your comment: ” History tell us Pes 13 will be crap.” meant that you do not like any of the recent PES. I liked PES 2011 but it had flaws also. In my opinion 2012 is an improvement, not perfect but better, so I am hopeful that 2013 will be even better. Just my opinion.

  16. ability says:

    i agree with Dave O.

  17. Barry says:

Nice teaser. As dave O says, it’s a clever marketing ploy just when dlc for FIFA is coming out. Nothing wrong with starting a bit of hype. Pes 2012 is great and just needs refinement.

  18. prince says:

@ Dave O , stop taking things to heart and being so defensive , we all here would like the game to be a success , but lets be honest its been appalling . Its 2012 and we are still talking about right direction . Games are so advanced at this point , yet Pes is always talking about the right direction , what have they been doing the past 4 , 5 years ago. I think they deserved to be criticized , their trailers always look good , but unlike you i won’t be sucked in by it . You can’t fool me twice . i mean can you believe up till now , players can’t tackle , goalies are very inconsistent , commentary beyond terrible , lets not go online . This game i admit has potential , but they always manage to **** it up . So unlike you , until they give me substantial reason as to why this year will be different , then i will continue to rain criticisms as they so deserve Fifa is miles ahead , of pes yet we sit here making excuses for pes like it was invented 3 years ago , this games is more than 10 years old , and we still hoping for a good game smh , for the first time i will definetly by fifa this year if its not good .

  19. Matteuws says:

The teaser was well made. I don’t think there will be a drastic changes like it was from 2011 to 2012 where you could see how fast the AI could beat you like 5-0 in the demos, but my expectations is always on less scripting or no scripting at all. I hate when you are playing a good game which was scripted to be lost in the first place, it makes your whole day irritating. Konami should give us more control and freedom to play the game the way we want and not try to influence it in anyway. PES 2011 was great, but if I compare it based of fluidity with PES 2012, 2012 is way better, but when it comes to scripting PES 2012 is worst, in PES 2011 you could really feel that 95% of what happened was your own genius, when it comes to PES 2012 even a simple through ball instead of going when you want it, the engine will just sent to crazily in a direction you can’t possibly think of…WTF?, Please Jon Murphy tell Seabass to not make the same mistake again. Here comes the fun…PES 2013.

  20. Dave O says:

@Prince – Ha ha… You seem to have missed the fact that I haven’t said anything! I’m not being positive or negative… I’m saying nothing except that it’s clearly insane to make up your mind about a game before you’ve seen anything with regards to it at all! Basing your opinion beforehand on the past (whether you like it or not) is just poor reasoning (letting your emotions get the best of you). All I’m saying is, wait until you play the game before you make up your mind, or at least wait until you see some images or gameplay footage before trying to make negative comments! Again, we’ve seen nothing, and to me the fact that there are people chomping at the bit with negativity proves that some people are just haters. Talk about taking an unfounded point of view!

PS – Again, I’m not being positive, I’m just saying hold your breath til there is actually something to discuss. Is that so difficult to understand?

  21. ability says:

once again i agree with Dave O. Prince pls take ur time and read what he wrote…

  22. Amateur says:

Well personally, I think the “teaser” trailer is not underwhelming at all, Cristiano Ronaldo looks very real and I highly doubt that the in-game model will look like that, but besides the significant graphical upgrade that the video shows, it also makes tit clear that “it’s what happens in the pitch that counts”, so I don’t think the teaser trailer is underwhelming, I think ambitious is a better word to describe it, though I believe that it will ultimately be disappointing, as soon as the gameplay video comes out and people realize that the game remains essentially the same.

  23. ronald says:

i agree with Matteuws.NO MORE SCRIPTING in PES 2013.PES 2013 will have a stunning graphic. i hope PES 2013 will not have the same big mistakes like PES 2012: shoots, can’t tackle, goalkeeper, refere, defence, dribble(all players are MESSI or CR7), CPU control. we want to have TOTAL CONTROL: if i shoot in the right of goalkeeper, the ball to go there, not NOT IN LEFT of goalkeeper!!!STOP SCRIPTING or CPU CONTROL!!! KONAMI PLEASE LISTEN US, and please JON MURPHI tell SEABASS about our desire! P.S. sorry for my english

  24. Amateur says:

Also, it’s good to hear from you Dan Bolas, I’ve not read the PESGaming Home page in a while, but it’s nice to see a familiar face around this parts, hope you’re doing well.
