PRO-ve Your Skills
Posted by Dan Bolas in Site Updates on Sun 28 Jun
This week’s PRO-ve Your Skills challenge was one of the more lengthy tasks, as
completing a Champions League takes more time than playing a single match. However, there were quite a few entries, but getting there first was Asem Ataullah, as the photographic evidence shows. He did also include a screenshot proving the players he used were all Helskini players, but this file was a few MB in size, and sizing it down was not necessary. As a result, Asem was responsible for setting a new challenge, but having not had any contact from him this weekend, I have had to make one up on his behalf. This is to keep the competition running and make sure everyone has a fair chance. Therefore this weeks challenge, on behalf of Asem is
Beat Brazil Using The USA, Keeping A Clean Sheet In The Process
This challenge is following the Confederations Cup which, if the USA had kept a clean sheet in, would have been won by the North Amercian side! Therefore, this is the opportunity to re write footballing history. As always, the challenge is open to any version of PES, using any difficultly level and on any gaming console. You must include a screenshot of your achievement, featuring the final scoreline All of this must be e-mailed through to interferingwithplay@hotmail.co.uk as soon as possible.
This week is also going to be known as “Multi Challenge Week”. In other words as soon as I receive an e-mail with the challenge completed, the new champion will ahve to defend their title straight away, and a new challenge will be posted on a daily basis, providing the old one is beaten. So in other words if someone beats the challenge on Monday morning, there will be a new challenge up on PESGaming.com by Monday evening. This is “Multi Challenge Week”, and means the title of PRO-ve Your Skills Champion could potentially change hands a whopping 7 times.
Good luck and get playing!

numero uno!!
How is this rewriting footballing history? Its not at all. The only thing we’re rewriting is the countless number of hours we’ve all wasted playin on this bull sh!t of a game.
nobody is forcing you to play ;)
next challenge should be ’score a bicycle kick on become a legend’ impossible!
hmm @ realist umm it is rewriting history becasue its the opposite things that happened. And speak for yourself I love Pro-Evo 9. The only one that seems to be wasting time is you.
@ stringer bell, well liking a game of pes 2009’s magnitude says it all really. Your tiny mind (which consists of half a brain cell at best) being content and actually liking this joke of a game, speaks volume of you.
If this is using any difficulty level, where is the challenge?
@ realist
it’s true anyone who thinks pes2009 is good is easily amused, i dont get people who think pes2009 is great the game is poor. the game is a pathetic update of previous versions. the game is rubbish so much so i can’t even bring myself to play it anymore and i love the pes series.
so why r u talking here?????
go to fifagaming.com
why do people recommend fifa? is it the better game? what retards, if you’ve played pro for years like me you’ll have a better understanding of why pes 2009 is trash. i want to see the series get better. i come on here because i have an interest in the pes series even if i don’t like pes2009. i’m hoping pes2010 will give back more control to the player, rather than a retarded AI interfering in the scripting of the game. and do more than add lame modes like Champions league, BAL was alright but needs a bit more work. i want to see more change to out dated modes like ML, and the stats. this website helps to provide me with info on whether the next pes will be worth my purchase. true pes players know pes2009 is rubbish, so as a true pes player i offer my opinion on websites like this.
hahahahah half a brina cell not even a whole one? Really oh man I thought you’d give me more credit than that! You know what I should do? I should wast my time commenting on the Helsinki PRO-ve Your skills for a game I hate and that would speak volumes of me! But Realist you’ve given me to much credit I only have a quarter of a brain cell =/
Exactly goran! Glad some 1 agrees with me.
Realist… carry on with your homework or something
i been playing pro evo and had them all since pro evo 5 and although its not got much better over the years, i wouldnt say it has got much worse eitha ( except online which is terrible ) the games are still better than fifa IMO and you can still have fun playing with mates. yes they need to improve it this year and make some worthy additions but that does not make it a poor game!
its a good game.. but we want better!
end of rant
@ 10, Goran
“true pes players know pes2009 is rubbish”
So true – people who don’t see this have extremely low standards and have no understanding of football.
@ Chris loves pro evo
Your just a fanboy, whatever type of game konami brings out you’ll big it up. You stating that theres nothing wrong with pes 2009 suggests this as its the worst of the series.
news i have been waiting for…finally getting excited now
Hello. Hatsumi again.
Sorry it’s been a while since the team blogged. We’ve been focusing so hard on the development. We’ll provide more regular updates from now on.
Today, I would like to explain online play for PES 2010. I’m really
aware how important an issue online play is to the fans and we know
we’ve got to get it right this year.
We have been thoroughly studying technologies in order to address all the feedback we’ve heard about PES2008 and PES2009. It’s been a long process – there’s been many, many aspects to think about.
However, I’d like to say here and now that not only have we fixed the lag and warp problems of the past, but we thoroughly overhauled the entire online system! I know people are going to want to see proof of this, but I’m 100% confident in my predictions.
Trying to explain everything in detail would get much too complicated (and boring!), but put simply we have adopted an enhanced version of the system used for PES6 examining the experience we had with PES2008 and PES2009, which guarantees a rewarding level of play control as well asno lag & warp problems. We’re really excited by the results.
In addition to the enhanced system, we are going to implement a new feature with which you can play various competitions with others users from all over Europe and another feature which provides several options specifically to enjoy with your registered friends.
Stay tuned and we’ll give you more info when we can!

realist, 5beckenbauer, and Wilson2k9 you will be part of the reason why pes will be great again. as you actually realise the pes series with pes2009 has been lowered to a disgrace. i want to go back to the days where the opposition had to work to score, rather than run past stupid defences with ease and get breaks from frequently retarded mistakes from the games dumb AI. the game is so mapped and cpu interferred with, that it devoids the importance of actual player skill. those who can’t see that are not true pes players, and lack a footballing brain. so are easily entertained by what pes2009 offers. give pes back to the players, not the pretenders.
i bet i play more pro evo and know a lot more about football than all of you! do any of you even play football!?
maybe other people should be aloud an opinion on how the game is to help make it better not just your useless dribble about things like bad defenders which really says to me that you suck at the game!
Pro evo 5 was by far and away the best game and i want to see a lot of changes but its still not a bad game.
and for god sake grow up!!
‘those who can’t see that are not true pes players, and lack a footballing brain. so are easily entertained by what pes2009 offers. give pes back to the players, not the pretenders’.
hahaha are you some kind of dictator? silly little child!
chris-loves-proevo – once again shows he is a clueless fanboy.
let me give you a lil insight i’ve been playin pro since the snes days iss and iss deluxe, all the way through to now. i’ve had every pes copy apart from 2, that was my broke year. i’ve grown up with pes, so i think i know what i’m talking about. for your information i do play football for a club at semi pro level, if that helps. pes2009 by far offers the worse challenge as an update. your trying to tell me the defending isn’t bad on the game? or your trying to tell me that’s normal for a pes game? says it all about you. you say my opinion is dribble, yet your opinion offers nothing towards an improved pes2010. you may play pes2009 more than me, but i don’t play it that much due to it being rubbish as i said. i think your not good at pes as you actually think 2009 is good, which says to me all you do is run with the ball the whole time. you probably play with barcelona or man united the whole time aswell. the only thing i dictate is the truth, 6 was the pinacle. pes2009 went backwards on pes2008 it just has more options which pes2008 badly lacked, but pes2008 had more manual control.
why does every thread turn into a stupid competition between people who like the game and who dont? who really cares? i like football and pro ev and like most of you i think the ext-gen installments SHOULD have been better but htey werent. even the argument about having half a brain cell? whats the point? you all bought the game so everyone is as thick as each other
ps. pes 2010 sound promising in my opinion
Goran – i am not a clueless fanboy, i am a person with a different opinion to yourself, is that clear enough 4 u 2 understand?
on pro evo 6 which i did like, the last i checked which was a long time ago due to new titles, i was in the top 500 in the world so i cant exactly be that bad at pro evo as u suggest…
i dont like the defending on the lastest pro evo, i hate that players just run and you struggle to do anything about it, i hate the computer interfering with needless slide tackles, i hate the goalkeeping errors and many other things about it… my arguement is that you can stil have fun playing against mates…
pro evo 5 is the best one for me as i had pro evo 6 on the xbox 360 and they did not produce the amount of content they did for the ps2 version
and also i never play with barca or man united, i always play with a certain mate and every match we do is random teams 2 save it getting boring where people just run with the ball
Lol, Pes2009 sux.
It has bugs and you need no skill to score.
I’m finding it strange that i get easily bored when i play PES2009.
When i had PES5, i could play it for hours long, in my opinion PES2009 is to easy to play.
chris-loves-proevo – ok fair enough points, your entitled to your opinion like all of us. but i’m just saying pes2009 is too error prone. pes used to provide a challenge, and even when you whipped the cpu on the top level you kept playin because every game felt different, and the cpu did different things to try and stop you. with pes2009 every game has obvious mistakes and it’s gets really anoying and silly, even when you score stupid goals yourself you feel like that was retarded. i can’t enjoy pes2009 whether it be offline or online. pes used to be a game where you had to adjust your gameplay to each version, and it was a challenge to learn. pes2009 any so and so can pick it up and play because of the amount of cpu assistance in the game.
